…it was entirely up to you? If things like money/overpopulation/others opinions were not influencing or restricting your decision?

1 and I have 1

theydontspeakforus · 05/11/2022 20:12

I'd love 2 but secondary infertility means we will likely stick with the one we have.

familyissues12345 · 05/11/2022 20:13

3, we've got 2.

Two MMC meant 2 is what we've stuck with, and that's ok

5 if I didn’t have infertility, always wanted a big family. I am lucky to have 1 and she’s amazing 😍

TallulahGosh · 05/11/2022 20:20

I have one 3yo, trying for another. If it doesn't happen within a year, then stick with one I suppose. I never imagined only having the one but I honestly didn't realise how hard it would be.

OrangePomander · 05/11/2022 20:22

Three, possibly four.

singlemomof3 · 05/11/2022 20:23

4 or maybe 6

I lost 7 through miscarriage and ectopics

I'd have a 100 if I could

MrsKrankyPants · 05/11/2022 20:24

Still only 2 max.

Doing it over again, probably only one and that's both of us with this mindset.

paleviolet · 05/11/2022 20:26

6, but only had one. She's lovely so we were blessed.

Squeezedsquash · 05/11/2022 20:29

I’ve had 3.

In an imaginary world where I had some sort of family support (not for permanent childcare or anything, just someone who might go to the occasional school assembly and possibly offer to babysit) and where my pelvic floor and other health things weren’t at risk, I might have had 4. But I’m not sure I could have shared the mental load enough to make it happen.

RidingMyBike · 05/11/2022 20:30

One. Which is what I have. There is no way I am going through pregnancy, birth and the baby year ever again!

DeliberatelyObtuse · 05/11/2022 20:31

I have 2 but would have liked 4 (if they were like the 2 I have!) Smile

BloodAndFire · 05/11/2022 20:31

I have two, and might have had four except that I found pregnancy total hell.

As time has passed, i think that was for the best.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 05/11/2022 20:32

Zero, or one. But DD is the easiest child ever and we thought two would be a good idea since I hated being an only, and DC2 turned out to be 2+3.

SmallestInTheClass · 05/11/2022 20:34

4, I have 2. If I'd started my family when I was younger I'd have definitely wanted more. Difficult pregnancy with high risk to me DD2 was also a factor.

PurBal · 05/11/2022 20:35

3, but unless I’m expecting twins (awaiting 12w scan, I have multiple “risk” factors for multiples and I’m HUGE already) we will stop at 2.

AllThatAndMore · 05/11/2022 20:35

I had two but I would have had three if I was younger!!!

RosesAndHellebores · 05/11/2022 20:36

4 was our plan.

After 5 pgs that got to the 2nd trimester or beyond and countless early miscarriages we were blessed with 2. Would have loved another but didn't have the courage to face another loss.

Money was no object - it just wasn't to be.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 05/11/2022 20:36

2- one per parent- children have a sibling but it’s possible to give each enough time

Mooshroo · 05/11/2022 20:49

2, but happy with my 1!

Whatsleftnow · 05/11/2022 20:53

6
But I’m happy with the 2 I have.
I could never have coped with that many.

WakingUpDistress · 05/11/2022 20:55

I have two.
Knowing what I know now, I would probably chose to have none. Nothing to do with my dcs. They are amazing people. I just think I had children for all the wrong reason (expectation as a woman to settle, be married and have a child etc….).

TheHappiestChristmasTree · 05/11/2022 20:55

3 or 4, if money and DH weren't an issue! And if it wouldn't knacker my body any further 😆 I have one DD, often feel guilty she won't be getting any siblings

WanderingSouls · 05/11/2022 20:59

Three. I have two and would bloody love another one but I am too old 😔

HideousKinky · 05/11/2022 21:00

I have 3 but would have liked 4 - DH was not to be persuaded!
