Is this a ridiculous name?

We have twin girls due in a few weeks time and are stumped on a name for baby B.
Our name for baby A is Quinn and the names of our other kids are Arabella, Felix and Hugo.
For baby B we've been deciding between Audrey, Eloise and Pippa.

However, the point of this question is to ask, do you think Pippilotta or Pippalotta is a ridiculous name? If we use Pippa, we'd like it to be as a nickname, but aren't fans of the traditional Philippa. So, would Pippilotta or Pippalotta work, or alternatively Ophelia or Josephine with Pippa as a nickname?

Please don't hesitate to share your feedback. I don't want to give my child a ridiculous name and fear that pregnancy hormones have clouded my judgement!

@Fedupmiddleagedwoman

It’s not as bad as Quinn
Fed up, middle-aged woman, alright.

I like Audrey or even Aubrey instead.

I've met one boy Quinn & one girl Quinn.

Why is Arabella Belle and not Bella ?

Anyway, congratulations on the twins being here soon, and your big family with the lovely names.

Quinn and Eloise is lovely.

Please not Audrey. It’s stayed an old ladies name.

Springfern · 18/03/2021 23:11

I really like Pippalotta

TableFlowerss · 18/03/2021 23:11

Dear god is this a wind up? That name is outrageous. Grin

Tamingofthehamster · 18/03/2021 23:12

Sorry , hadn’t seen your last update.

RazzleToes · 18/03/2021 23:12

Ophelia and Eloise are beautiful names. Pippa would go well as a shortened for Ophelia. Your other children’s name are lovely too.

Another take on Audrey is Aubrey? Always loved Aubrey and Margot but DH wasn’t keen.

funnyoldonion · 18/03/2021 23:14

I'm glad you went with Audrey and Quinn that's my favourite combination and I love Quinn, it's a great name

RazzleToes · 18/03/2021 23:14

Sorry OhMyGosh, you mentioned Aubrey, another vote here Smile

Viviennemary · 18/03/2021 23:15

Quinn is pretty dire. Phipalotta beyond ridiculous. Eloise is nice. Pippa is only a shortform and not a name as such

VeganCow · 18/03/2021 23:21

Utterly stupid name. Kid will get never thank you being saddled with that monstrosity of a name.
I love Eloise and I used to be a fan of The Damned 😂

NeedSomeInfoAgain · 18/03/2021 23:21

I think Quinn is too different in style to your other DC names. Also Dr Quinn Medicine Woman Grin. I like Ophelia (Pippa) with Cressida (Cressie) or maybe Josephine (Josie)?

We moved past the Pippa variations a long time ago and settled on Audrey. Thanks for your feedback!

Thanks for our feedback! We don't want/didn't ask for feedback on Quinn but appreciate you taking the time to tell us that our daughters name is dire. Have a lovely evening :)

Sorry, came to this late! Smile. Glad you have settled...Good luck!

Zandathepanda · 18/03/2021 23:39

You may get Q&As (questions and answers) but that isn’t that bad
With E you will get QE2
Make sure initials won’t spell anything horrible even if they change their last name. When my friend got married she ended up as an ASS.

puffylovett · 18/03/2021 23:45

Op such a classy response to all the rudeness on this thread!

Fwiw I quite like the quirkiness of Pippilotta and would be tempted to use it as a private family nickname, even for Audrey :)

Jacketpotato84 · 18/03/2021 23:48

I like Pipolotta. There are many nicknames as well as pippa you can use;

Pip
Pippin
Poll
Polly
Lotty
Lota
Chipolotta
Chip
Pipi
Polo
Otty
Plotta
Plotty
Totty
Tot

jellybe · 18/03/2021 23:55

How about:
Astrid and Quinn
Persephone and Quinn
Ariette and Quinn
Juniper and Quinn

NeedSomeInfoAgain · 18/03/2021 23:57

Perhaps not TottyGrin. Anyway, OP has sensibly gone for Audrey

Doona · 18/03/2021 23:59

Audrey is lovely!

chonkyy · 19/03/2021 00:10

I love the name Evangeline just throwing it out there. Goes with your other kids names

23PissOffAvenueWF · 19/03/2021 00:14

THE OP HAS DECIDED ON HER TWIN GIRLS’ NAMES - THEY’RE QUINN AND AUDREY.

Babygotblueyes · 19/03/2021 00:17

I am really sorry, but Pippalotta is awful, and will lead to major teasing. I like Audrey because of Audrey Hepburn, and Eloise are pretty. A little wary of Ophelia because of the Hamlet/Suicide thing. If you want to go Shakespearean, Cordelia is nice. Portia too, but there will always be idiots who think that is named after the car.
