fat controller for remote control

AnnainNZ · 26/07/2007 14:44

I was watching a HP film with my nephew and when the Dementors appeared on screen he turned to me and whispered "Look! It's the cement-mixers!"

My dd got an "extinction" in her dance exam recently! She couldn't understand why!

LOTF, we also have 'oddies' for eggs and our milk is called nowk or nock (which, oddly is apparently what I called it when I was small ).

Acinonyx · 26/07/2007 18:04

Moosma - dd calls milk 'noch' with a really guttural 'ch'. Obviously not as strange as I thought. JIll

mylittlefreya · 26/07/2007 18:29

Dd not old enough yet, but my little sister:
The Little Marmalade for the Little Mermaid
Squiggle for squirrel
Aminals - and that lasted for years before it came out right reliably
We both still use these now

youpeskykids · 26/07/2007 18:38

My otherwise-very-articulate DS1 who isd 3.7 INSISTS that his favourite ice cream flavour is 'vermilla'. He will argue with me about it. Bless him!

youpeskykids · 26/07/2007 18:39

Oh and I do remember a time when DS1 was about 2 that he insisted on calling his jacket his JACKSHIT. He asked for his JACKSHIT really loudly during speeches at a wedding.....

lillypie · 26/07/2007 18:47

DS2 (now 21)came home from school aged about 4 and demanded to know, what I knew, about St.Barflobanew.

MoosMa · 30/07/2007 15:59

Had a new one today, my mum is currently hamster-sitting for my neice, so DD1 said she wanted to "go see Granny and munter"

Combine harvey-and-esther = combine harvester.

melpomene · 31/07/2007 23:28

DD1 used to say "cumber-pooker" for cucumber. She is 4 now, and still calls our conservatory the "server-cuh-tree".

Clementine1 · 31/07/2007 23:30

The computer is the "mancutor" acording to DS and he always want the inbertendo (nintendo).

DD when she was little used to say Vidie Amionge and we never knew what it was until one day we realised she was saying "To infinity and beyond".

JoMa · 31/07/2007 23:32

hippanopotamus
make ds1 say it loads cos it's so cute

and he likes the song American Pie, only it's Gbye, Gbye, Gmerican pie

Perigrine · 31/07/2007 23:33

My Best is when I asked my DD aged three, "Doesnt Daddy look handsome?" whilst wearing his kilt. About 6 months later she came down stairs as we were watching Braveheart. and said "Look at all the men in their Pandsomes"

Still makes me smile and she's 9

controlfreakyflitwick · 31/07/2007 23:34

adults were addons for ds1!

corblimeycharlie · 31/07/2007 23:36

Cockporn for popcorn. - DD until she was 4.
DD (now 5) still says aminal instead of animal - seems to have stuck.
DS(2) used to say Loppyloppylopter for helicopter until recently.

Linnet · 31/07/2007 23:59

dd2 used to call cucumber, bum, then she progressed to cubumber and now she can say it properly which isn't as much fun when doing the shopping. Lots of strange looks at small child in trolley asking if we can buy some bum, lol

dd1 said wo-wo for window and she still can't say radiator she says radiyurt and she's almost 10!

dd2 says wanky instead of wonky

squatchette · 01/08/2007 00:10

DD1 Hostible-hospital.
Carrot vans-caravans.
Vestibubbles-vegetables
DD 2 Can we go to the babycity today?
Me Where's that sweetheart?
DD2 It's a city where you go so other people can look after us for you. (Babysitting i presume).

squatchette · 01/08/2007 00:11

Oh and Billybonker-Willywonker.

Neena28 · 01/08/2007 00:15

DS=Flah-ming-glee-glows for flamingos.

Sounds soooo cute when he said it.

DD like pish-pingers says it with a real PING!

paulaplumpbottom · 01/08/2007 00:15

blankelet

superloopy · 01/08/2007 00:38

DD 3 yo calls a picnic a "smicket".

Her favourite colour is "smink".

Those P's are a little tricky at the moment!

macmama73 · 01/08/2007 01:06

DD sneezed then started crying. I asked what was wrong. She said, "I've got bless you on my jumper"

We now call snot bless you. She was about 2.

Aitch · 01/08/2007 01:13
