DD the Garandah instead of verandah and DS2 wobbaly instead of wallaby

OrmIrian · 03/08/2007 13:07

wobbly - a small marsupial
zimzamzee - a primate similar to a monkey

My DD used to have a twohead instead of a forehead. Which was because hers was smaller than mine apparently.

Riss70 · 03/08/2007 13:08

oh and smish instead of schmick - DS2 who is 4 was telling everyone our newly renovated bathroom looked smish - it was really sweet

EscapeFrom · 03/08/2007 13:20

Instead of saying "Ds2 has been sick!"

He shouts "Ds2 has done a gross!

EscapeFrom · 03/08/2007 13:21

he asked me for a Nagazine yesterday too. He is 4.

myweegirl · 03/08/2007 13:23

In his quest to know every type of car DS now wants to know what a landrover is. I always say landrover but he insists on calling them "mandriver cars".

mummylin2495 · 03/08/2007 13:32

my youngest grandaughter came home proudly from school and said she had had a sex education lesson. She then announced proudly that she knew what the correct name for her private parts were.we asked her what it was and she said MAGINA !!!!!!

Practicalpet · 04/08/2007 21:02

Gobbledigook · 04/08/2007 21:11

Ds3 - almost 3 - has fab speech but just a couple of words he says incorrectly are

blanas (bananas)
cimena (cinema, obviously)

Kathyis6incheshigh · 04/08/2007 21:12

DD has a friend Katie who she calls Tasty and a friend Michael she calls Microwave.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 04/08/2007 21:16

MoosMa · 04/08/2007 21:21

allgonebellyup · 05/08/2007 13:00

amidaiwish · 05/08/2007 13:31

DD1 says "may you can"

iamasurvivor · 05/08/2007 13:52

was talking about fifi and flowertots the other dayv with my dd who is 3. she was talking about SLUGSIE, who she calls SLACKSIE. i then asked her what sort of animal he is tio which she replied 'he is a SLAG' needless to say i corrected about i had stopped ROFL

iamasurvivor · 05/08/2007 13:56

Please excuse those hideous spelling mistakes!!

Niecie · 05/08/2007 13:57

DS1 used to say 'hoos' instead of shoes and 'geese' instead of 'grease' as 'I've got geese on my fingers'

However, he has just turned 7 and is into maps at the moment. The other day he was banging on about 'Shitland' which we thought was a bit of an unkind thing to call any country. Turns out he was talking about 'Shetland'.

Practicalpet · 05/08/2007 20:30

MoosMa - sorry I have only just seen this - downdayers is her way of saying downstairs! cute as.

Bouquetsofdynomite · 05/08/2007 22:24

My 4yr old still says codding instead of pudding. Thing is DH & I will now never stop saying codding.
