KnitterInTheNW · 23/07/2007 23:07

I think the favourite of all my past nanny charges has to be my last, little
girl aged about 3 at the time.

Me, holding up a mouth organ: What's this, ***?
Her, after a thoughtful pause: Is it a unicorn?
Me: No, it's a harmonica.
Her: A harmonkia.

It has been a harmonkia ever since for me, although it is now a harmonia for her!

burstingbug · 23/07/2007 23:15

Great googlie mooglie is great monkey monkey according to DS1

JackieNo · 23/07/2007 23:16

Lol at 'Is it a unicorn?' (even though 'harmonkia' is great).

Interested in this thread?

Then you might like threads about these subjects:

DD pronounes "annoying" as "ironing".

"Mummy, DS1 is ironing me"

DontCallMeBaby · 23/07/2007 23:19

Ah, children who like hugs and pisses are commoner than I thought (well, there are two more on this thread).

As well as liking to give people the odd piss, DD still reckons minkeys eat blanas which are wellow. And one day whilst exploring her nether regions she found a clickorit.

Jenkeywerewolf · 23/07/2007 23:31

LOL at the 'clickorit'!
My dd's best efforts:

caterpillar - pitty-patty
Scooby-doo - Booky-do
Spiderman - Burgerman
BBQ - barbie-cook

I love these funny little ways and more and more now she's talking properly so I guess these will soon become fond memories.

WendyWeber · 23/07/2007 23:41

Yes they will, write them down or you will def forget!

onlygirlinthehouse · 24/07/2007 00:00

my middle son says he is benoyed with you (when he is annoyed). my youngest never says his 's' at the start of words and so when he is playing with a big stick, it becomes his big dick!! He cant understand why his brothers want him to keep saying it

dontgetmestarted · 24/07/2007 00:38

my 2.5 yr old ds tries to say "fat controller" but it kind of comes out as "fuckin troller"
i have to keep explaining to the grannies on the bus that he isn't actually swearing.

yawningmonster · 24/07/2007 01:02

hop grasser for grass hopper

startouchedtrinity · 24/07/2007 08:04

My dd2 refers to all remote controls as 'fat controls'.

damewashalot · 24/07/2007 08:35

treacletart · 24/07/2007 10:24

ThestralFeet · 24/07/2007 10:37

squash is squalch

she has lost some of her mispronunciations recently, "rainers" has been replaced with "raisins" and "ello" with "yellow"

onlygirlinthehouse · 24/07/2007 10:58

this is bringing it all back! ds1 used to say gips for grapes, zidio for video and when we used to go to the fun factory to play it was the sun sactory.

chopster · 24/07/2007 11:02

buh-wank for blanket

damewashalot · 24/07/2007 11:09

You are all making me remember loads, bucoopter
I hate it when they get gigger and stop using them.

sonicthegoldfish · 24/07/2007 11:23

Ds calls Harry Potter "Hairy Potter".
He also says Lelachopper for helicopter, Wishawasha for garlic crusher, destructions for instructions and my favourite...Porn cakes for Cornflakes!

twinsetandpearls · 24/07/2007 11:42

damewashalot we moved on from destructions to constructions
