Despite the fact that my house never seems to look really clean or tidy, i am amazed at how much i have got done already today.

  • Took DS to doctors/chemists
  • Emptied dishwasher
  • Made us both lunch, then picked DS's up from the floor
  • re-filled dishwasher
  • Put washing on line
  • Washed more clothes
  • Picked up CDs and DVDs after DS (again!)
  • Picked up toys (again!)
  • Made some bottles up and not forgetting, found time to potter on the net.

No wonder the days where i go out to work seem soooooo much easier!

I know what you mean. I seem to work in house all day and it still looks the same when I go to bed!
This is my day so far.
Took son and friends kids to school. came home and put some washing out and put another load on. Emptied dishwasher and reloaded, following party yesterday. Did some puree cooking for dd, 9 months. Ran around the local area with my neighbour looking for her puppy who had excpaed! Made us coffee to recover once we found him.
Collected son from nursery, came home and made lunch. Fed children then cleaned kitchen again.
All this with a slight hangover - think I will lie on sofa now for 20 minutes!

issyissyissy · 21/05/2007 13:12

Sorry should read puppy had escaped!

SueBaroo · 21/05/2007 13:12

What a good idea for a thread. Today we've

*Had breakfast and lunch and done the wash-up from that.
*Fed and changed ds (3months) twice
*Done sit-down school with eldest two
*Put a wash on
*Sorted some ironing
*Changed Dd3's nappies three times (Poo, erk!)
*Checked on the seedlings
*picked up pencils and toys from floor
and yep, done time on the Aunt Netty, and done some writing. Busy busy busy

Not a great big fat lot tbh.

bigmouthstrikesagain · 21/05/2007 13:17

i am not going to ans that today as we have just set up a wireless network so I have mainly been playing with my laptop all over the house and enjoying the novelty.... while the house and children are totally neglected

thank god mum has just taken them out (the children) so they will be played with. I will stop indulging myself and get on with my mass of chores v soon promise.

School run with 4 kids to drop off 2 of them
Back home
Realise that there is no hot water
Realise that the reason for that is that my boiler is leaking water all over the boiler room floor
Phone boilerman
Play with kids
Make chicken casserole for lunch
Walk to playground, admire new ducks on pond on the way
Back for lunch
Put baby in bed for nap
Wrestle car seat cover onto car seat (from previous pee accident) and put back into car
Plonk ds2 in front of Dora the Explorer
Come onto mumsnet

Nice and relaxing really

PregnantGrrrl · 21/05/2007 13:22

forgot i also put out all rubbish and recycling...

i have a headache now, so i'm drinking tea and eating Green and Blacks while DS naps.

we have been busy ladies!

Pollyanna · 21/05/2007 13:22

oh yes, I forgot about emptying dishwasher, giving all 4 dcs breakfast, cleaning kitchen up after breakfast, swishing round the bathrooms, supervising dcs getting dressed, doing teeth, doing hair, doing recorder practice and sending ds and dd1 off to school (with dh).

PrincessPeaHead · 21/05/2007 13:22

Oh also watered my seedlings in the greenhouse
Cleared out huge pile of stuff in boiler room into two piles - for the dump and to keep. It all went on the "dump" pile apart from a kiddy backpack thingy and a buggy!

PregnantGrrrl · 21/05/2007 13:24

and this is why the days i work in an office are soooo much less hard work!

No 11mth old with a chest infection for a start!
