I am a single parent, two DC's at home, 2 at uni themselves.

Going into 2nd year and starting to panic about how I'm going to juggle everything Smile

Anyone else?

Yes and it begs the question if I didn't know the status was supposed to changed from approved to submitted when it goes to your bank (ie 3 or 4 working days before you get paid) when would any one have told me??

Angry

They wouldn't have would they.
Must be lots of people who are just expecting it on Monday.

It will be a long week for you, all you need first week back Sad

stabbystabbykillkill · 22/09/2011 20:34

It's ridiculous. If I didn't check it yesterday and then today and panic get slightly concerned and then push uni and Student Finance I wouldn't know.

Student support at uni were Shock and thanked me for letting them know

Hello to everyone :)

I am due to start my final year this year, and am getting stressed about it already. Dd(4) has just started reception, and as I still do not have a timetable I have no Childcare arranged.

I've had a lovely letter from student Finance this week to say that they haven't had my ccg2 so are taking it out of my next payments... I'm fairly sure that's going to leave me with nothing Hmm

I hope those of you that have already returned are having better luck than I am!

missmogwi · 23/09/2011 20:33

Hello Mrs

Whats a ccg2? I assume a childcare payment issue? Sounds like a PITA, hope you can get it sorted out.

Stabby a woman off my course has had issues with her finance and student support have given her a one off payment until her money comes through. Just wondered if you could do the same?

MrsPlesWearsAFez · 25/09/2011 01:24

The CCG2 is the confirmation of childcare costs form. It has to be done three times a year, and causes huge issues Every Single Time Hmm

As with every other part of SF, the turn around time tends to be quite high.

stabbystabbykillkill · 25/09/2011 15:51

I've just had a text from Student Bastard Finance to say my money will be paid into my account tomorrow.

Dare I hope? Grin

I'm actually getting nervous about starting back - I was talking to the lecturers last week and apparently there's loads of people who failed their exams and aren't getting back and I think one of the mature students I was friendly with is one of them Sad

I have to leave the house by 7.30 to be in uni for 9am lecture starts 9.15

missmogwi · 25/09/2011 21:38

That's a shame, hopefully they will turn up this week. Year 2 seems like much more pressure and work doesn't it.
Not sure who is back on my course yet as not everyone turned up on Friday.

That's an early start, thought I had a busy morning!
Youngest DD (7) has been poorly today, sods law she will have to stay off tomorrow on first day back. I'm sending healing vibes up the stairs.

fluffymitmoostabby · 25/09/2011 21:39

I'll send you some healing vibes too - it's hard when they're sick

I don't think he's coming back - he's not answering anyone's emails or texts or phone calls Sad

I am scared about the level of work in year 2 compared to year 1

missmogwi · 25/09/2011 22:09

Thanks, she's asthmatic and it's always worse at this time of year.

Me too, going to have to put a lot of extra time in. The reading material is much more intense too. Although I suppose at the beginning of last year I was saying the same.

We'll be finealbeit gibbering alcoholic wrecksabsolutely fine Grin

fluffymitmoostabby · 26/09/2011 03:12

fluffymitmoostabby · 26/09/2011 16:09

Knackered.

How did everyone else get on?

And about to go mad in Asda Grin student loan was in right enough

swallowedAfly · 26/09/2011 16:41

i was unfortunately "unsuccessful on this occasion" with my studentship phd proposal Sad

no studentship, no study here as can no way afford fees.

good luck everyone and well done on getting out there and going for it Smile

fluffymitmoostabby · 26/09/2011 17:00

Oh SAF Sad

missmogwi · 26/09/2011 17:35

Sorry to hear that SAF, what a shame. Sad

stabby hurrah! glad your finance went in! You can fling tins of beans and bread in that trolley with wild abandon!

fluffymitmoostabby · 26/09/2011 17:55

I went to Tescos (it's closer) and got the essentials was bread, beans, milk, eggs, pasta sauce, tuna - oh such luxuries Wink

MetalSian · 27/09/2011 08:52

My first proper day yesterday... with 8 hours of lessons.

Up at 6am... out of thehouse at 7am, got home at 7.20pm.
I think that is going to take some getting used to.
Other than that I actually quite enjoyed it =].

I haven't gone mad at all with my student loan yet and I have had it just over a week. I am pretty good with saving though, not used to have that amount of money.

Hope everyone elses week is going well.
