I am a single parent, two DC's at home, 2 at uni themselves.

Going into 2nd year and starting to panic about how I'm going to juggle everything Smile

Anyone else?

Well done.

Bet you couldn't get rid of it quick enough!

fluffystabby · 14/11/2011 16:42

Absolutely. It's shite, totally shite, but all I need is 40%

MissMogwi · 14/11/2011 16:49

Ah the magic 40%!
I bet it's not shite at all, and you do really well.

I've just got an essay back and got the name of the bastard poem wrong all the way through Blush.

Only very slightly wrong but I can't believe it! I remember changing the title at the end as I thought I'd got it wrong then and thinking "phew". Was right first time. Am a tit.

fluffystabby · 14/11/2011 17:01

Ooooops

MissMogwi · 16/11/2011 15:31

Where's my motivation gone? I know what I want to write but it won't come out. Gah.

So I'm pissing about looking at the different fonts instead. That'll get me that degree!

MissMogwi · 24/11/2011 10:56

Hello, it's very quiet in here!

Hope everyone is ok and being very studious.

I've had some marks back and I've done better than I thought, so big chufty badge to me. Grin

keynesian · 24/11/2011 17:21

Well done MissMowgi! That's excellent!

I did well in my exam last week and am really enjoying and therefore doing the work at the moment!

I've also been looking into 'enhancing my CV' - uni is going big guns on employ-ability this year... with extra lectures, speakers from the big outside world etc. And I think I may have found just the work experience I was looking for - fingers crossed!

MissMogwi · 24/11/2011 21:11

Well done to you too. Chufty badges all round. Grin

I enjoy the work much more when it's a novel or a topic I enjoy. Otherwise it's called rather wittily: 'bastard work'.

ihatecbeebies · 25/11/2011 12:17

Hi everyone, I'm a very stressed lone parent with one almost 5 year old lovely little boy with autism. I'm in my 4th year now and the workload is pretty intense!

MissMogwi · 25/11/2011 13:46

Hiya, sounds like you keep very busy!

What are you studying? Are you nearly finished with your course now?

ihatecbeebies · 25/11/2011 14:02

It's a joint honours in psychology and sociology. I'll be finished in may but if I can get the funding then I'm going to try and do a post grad, but then again if you ask me April I'll probably say that I hate Uni and an never coming back again haha! What are you studying?

MissMogwi · 25/11/2011 14:35
Grin

I'm doing English, not that my ramblings on here indicate that! I'm in second year, it's a lot more challenging now-so I can imagine fourth year must be stressful!

So far it's going ok, although I have loads of work due in so I'll be a gibbering wreck before Christmas.

keynesian · 11/12/2011 13:28

How are we all? Christmas fully organised, assignments handed in early and a revision timetable for any January exams and tests done? Excited about the lots of extra reading you'll have time to do?

It's certainly not like that here! Xmas Grin

Term for me finishes officially this Friday coming but everything bar a one hour seminar on Monday has been cancelled... the reason given being that most students wouldn't bother to turn up.

Hope we all have a good break.

MissMogwi · 13/12/2011 15:56

So you've finished for Christmas then? Xmas Envy

I've got two tests this week and two bighorn assignments to do over Christmas. Other than that, it's going ok. Finish on Friday, and I can't wait for the break and seasonal feasting

Hope everyone is doing well and has a merry Christmas! Xmas Grin

MissMogwi · 13/12/2011 15:56

Bighorn? Grin that should be big, damn you autocorrect.

MrsPlesWearsAFez · 13/12/2011 17:53

Just marking my place to come back later...

MissMogwi · 16/12/2011 19:29

Well, last exam of 2011 today and it did not go well! I revised and was prepared but turned the paper over and boom! Head empty.

Waffled on through it, wrote down what I had revised and basically answered my own made up question. Shit.

But at least I've finished for Christmas

Fancy Christmas Biscuit to all! Xmas Smile
