Top shop shoes are a rip off - sorry. Went there last saturday and the quality is rubbish and the prices !
Managed to find a great pair of biker boots in a little boutique shop in Long Acre for half the price!

I don't shop in TopShop any longer as it would be shameful to be seen trying to dress the same as my students.

Uggggghhhh. Feel sick. I ate a tub of ice cream and a quarter of a jar of Nutella. For no reason other than I could. Blurrrgh.

Actually, I know exactly the reason. DH is in Lecce for a conference, and so he is not here to break my balls about eating crap.

JB, nothing major, i mean, don't even speak to them, but the stupid girls are always outside chatting on the phone at late night, if not them, then it's the father with one of the boyfriends, which you hear arrive because of the loud speakers and slamming of doors, and they've got a conifer that was just a little bush, but their garden is a jungle so that thing hasn't been touched and is now double the fence height so bif shade in OUR garden . and they chat basically underneath the bedroom window where DD sleeps, waking her quite often

JB my evening was same as yours. Should have gone for bath and bed with a book and early ight considering the million times minipippi woke up last night and possibly will tonight. Instead I am here discussing KM and TS.

Hey Pippi. Yes, love work. Am less in love with the fact that I feel so rushed all the time - every minute is accounted for. Previously, I could mooch about a bit - find a colleague for coffee, stay late to finish photocopying, whatever. Of course now I have to rush there and back because of DD - which I want to, of course, to be with her - but still, it puts pressure on my job which wasn't there before. Nevermind. I have a good job. I'm lucky. Pressure, though - need to complete a lot of research output before the next research assessment exercise (or replacement). If not, I've been told in no uncertain terms that I will never be promoted... Sigh. Must get on with it...

not til next year now, just no time really til after xmas (need to sort THIS house first ). MIL coming in 2 wks time for 9 days (she said she only wants to come for 4 days, been very reluctant to come as she finds it too tiring, but she won't listen and come on the train, insist on coach ). she says she won't come for a very long time afterwards . so sounds like instead of getting in a mood after 2-3 days, she'll already be in a mood by the time she gets here

Ha. Have we moved? Fat effing chance. Of course, it is all DH's fault . Seriously, though, he was too ill so we had to cancel on the day (arrgh - major expense), and now he's too stressed at work, and I'm not much better - so we're holding out to Xmas, which is a financial disaster really. But hey. There it is. No point worrying.

i know the feeling penthhe, I used to get in very early, stay later, and accumulate lots of time off, go out for drinks with colleagues... now come 5 on the dot I'm out and get so stressed if I miss the 5.20 train, even if there's another one only 10 mins later!!
