i feel it aint the same it used to be.too cliquey. i tried to offer wee bit of help and advice earlier to other mnetter and basically got ignored, but when another one of the clique offered advice she was all, thanks yous and asking how she was.

Hate, hate, hate the insult, chav. As custardo says though it has been done to death. I may like Laura Ashley but doesnt mean my head is in my arse and I dont know about "real life".

Can't say I hate the word 'chav'.. after all, these so-called 'chavs' clearly spend far more on looking the way they do than I could ever spend.! 'chav-wear' is pretty much designer after all and as such is not to be looked down on snobbishly, surely?! But I do find these threads sad (not sad-pathetic.. but sad 'sad'!) because I think MN is an absolutely wonderful supportive place with on-the-whole, wonderfully supportive people! Consider the 'what have MNer's done for you?' thread of a few weeks ago! The majrity of us on here have not met each other.. and barely know each other.. and yet the caring shown to others is amazing.

Example: An Mner I had never spoken to before (that I can remember)last week sent me two pairs of Gap dungarees for DS (who has CP and dungars are v.practical for him but hard to afford/get hold of).. and won't take a penny for them!!!

And before anyone even think this kind of stuff is reserved for those 'in cliques'.. I really truly think 'clique-ness' is perceived in the eye of the beholder.. and comments about them come about when people occasionally feel ignored or unsupported.. which happens.. it's happened to me.. but I really don't think it is ever deliberate (unless you are guilty of persistant trollish behaviour and even then people forgive and forget in most cases.)

In a nutshell.. MN unfriendy?! NEVER

your right sleepyjess, mumsnetters are fabulous great lovely people who are usually selfless and lovely. i too have recieved toys from a couple of mumsnetters who wouldnt even accept the postage - they were out of pocket themselves.

however i am in a dark dark place where nicotine doesnt flow and my anger is high and you lot are better at having an argument than my kids who just cry when i shout - becuase i do shout - beucase i have given upsmokin for four days. so your all gonna get it d'ya hear ALL OF YOU....fer about another week
