in my humble opinion

SoupDragon · 04/06/2005 21:37

Yessss! I win! I win! It's because I'm an "oldie" you know, I get priority posting

SoupDragon · 04/06/2005 21:38

Up near the top of the page with all the blue links is one called "Acronym List" It should tell you all you need to know.

I like the late night crowd - there's no clique, just whoever can't sleep or is too p*ssed to get off the sofa !

Having looked at other parenting websites (yawn zzzzzzzz) I still think this is pretty good.

TwoIfBySea · 04/06/2005 22:13

Scottishmum, I've been posting on here and lurking (which is a phrase I hate as I don't post if I have nothing to say rather than because I "lurk") for ages and I get ignored.

Has often made me wonder what I am doing wrong but I carry on regardless and at some point I'll get accepted or maybe just say something worthwhile! I know exactly what you are meaning though, keep heart, it isn't you!

hunkermunker · 04/06/2005 22:21

Another thread talking of cliques, but not naming names.

Please do. And if mine's on there, so be it! Obviously I would be able to see the clique if I wasn't in it, or something, right?

LGJ · 04/06/2005 22:22

Hunker

Get back to your non exsistent clique you hazen brussy............

SenoraPostrophe · 04/06/2005 22:23

sigh.

yes, go on, name that clique.

Toothache · 04/06/2005 22:24

Och not another MN'er feeling like this!

It happens periodically, some feel left out, others feel picked upon.... it's just as Soupy says.... like Real Life.

Please don't feel that way about MN. Surely it's still here for advice and chats? Isn't MN still the same when we really need it be?

Hope you feel better Scottishmumto1.

ScrewballMuppet · 04/06/2005 22:26

Scottishmumto1
don't be put off keep posting. I get ignored to, have killed many a thread and even had no replys to threads created.
I came to the conclusion that I don't care if no one talks to me I'm going to talk to them and if they don't like it tough. Some times I have such a laugh and others I feel a little low, it usually depends on how tired I am. When I'm not tired I have a whale of a time and couldn't care less when I am tired I am very sensitive.

I do agree the first few weeks I was on mumsnet there were no real spats but then everyone seemed to be having a go at ach other and I must admit was shocked at what some people would post. I've just decided to stay clear of those threads that are slagging others off.

LGJ · 04/06/2005 22:27

ScrewballMuppet

I will fight you for that particular thread............to the death................

With my bare hands if needs be

morocco · 04/06/2005 22:30

yes, us insomniacs are the best ones

I was really upset a few weeks ago that hardly anyone posted replies to one of my posts about my little boy who had been really sick - it still rankles tbh but I would guess that none of you reading this now had even read his thread anyway - it all moves so fast these days it's easy to take things personally when it's just bad timing. If you don't have a couple of rl or mn friends to bump the thread along, it dies out pretty quickly.

Caligula · 04/06/2005 22:33

morocco - just put bump!

Well, if you go over to the which mnetter pisses you off most thread, by tomorrow morning you should find that Mumsnet isn't nearly as friendly as it used to be!

ScrewballMuppet · 04/06/2005 22:40

MW HA HA HA (sorry really like that)

To the very end it is LGJ....

Which thread?

Gwenick · 04/06/2005 22:41

i think i only got 5 replies about her, one of the regulas would get loads of replies of, isnt she so cute, etc etc.

Not sure if I'm 'in the clique' or not - but when I posted my profile not many posted on mine either (and the number of threads I've 'killed' or started and had practically no response to is quite high..............could that be because I speak utter gargbage a lot of the time I wonder

LGJ · 04/06/2005 22:42

I think you know which thread..........

MistressMary · 04/06/2005 22:42

Join the club Gwenick, but I carry on regardless.

spacecadet · 04/06/2005 22:43

i posted on your profile gwenick, said you didnt look atall how i imagined you

hunkermunker · 04/06/2005 22:43

My thread of DS has LOADS of replies on it, because I bump it at night with different pics on it.

Helps that DS is truly the most gorgeous baby that ever crawled the earth though

LGJ · 04/06/2005 22:44

He is yummy

Fab eyes

hunkermunker · 04/06/2005 22:44

LGJ, careful, we'll be accused of being a clique!

Again...

LGJ · 04/06/2005 22:45

Again....................

No names mentioned that I have heard of to date, a clique how very quaint
