Leggings, yes those thin, skin tight, tasteless, awful "trousers" as some dare to call them.
Have you seen your butt?
Im not shaming, laughing or otherwise. Im expressing opinion. Free speech and all that.
So, when you wear them with double wardrobe bum take a look on the backside, stomach. What is showing and hanging.
Women who started wearing them had butt to show off as they went to gym every day. Later it became trend and cheap way to cover skin.
You can still wear leggings, but be reasonable. Pick something that covers butt at least, doesn't show how far belly is hanging. Etc
We have normalised abnormalities. Why?

There is no need to get so worked up about it. This is a discussion forum and she is entitled to express her opinion, just as you are entitled to respond to it.

Correct, everyone has an opinion but feeling like the whole world simply must hear it is entitled nonsense.
Yes it’s a discussion forum but most kind, decent and reasonable people would not consider just a post with clear anger about people wearing leggings, and nasty body shaming the basis for an actual discussion 🤣 they clearly just wanted an outlet for their nastiness, and I don’t care if this is apparently getting “worked up” people who do that absolutely do need to shut up. But if you want to excuse people being unnecessarily mean then go right ahead I guess.

I can see why people wear them, it dosen’t bother me in the slightest. I personally don’t wear them mainly because I hate tight fitting clothes in any way shape or form. The only time I wear them (or tight shorts) is for running to reduce the wobble.

I have No issues as to people that wear leggings, whether large or small in stature but be sure when you buy, as to check whether they are see through when you bend over, or if I or anyone else can see more than anyone needs too. Stretch them over your hand instore before you purchase maybe. Many times I’ve seen way too much. Even in black ones . Yes agree with previous comment that nude ones often make you look twice thinking holy cow they ain’t wearing pants! 😂

If you are a plus size then I very much doubt leggings showing your bottom and where the material is stretched so thin you can see everything does much for you. Maybe they don’t care. Bit like people who don’t iron anything, don’t have daily showers ( we all know people like this).

I don’t think confidence has anything to do this this. They just cannot be bothered or just don’t mind.

The pp specifically stated that the leggings needed to fit, so why are talking about 'showing your bottom' and having 'material stretched so thin'?

Poor quality leggings which show the bottom are no use for anyone.

Now that I'm retired I go to several classes at our local gym and I can't recall ever seeing one woman wearing leggings stretched thin enough to show everything - and there are definitely all shapes and sizes there.

Exactly. And I’ve yet to see anyone in decent good fitting leggings look crap in them. My dd is a plus size and looks great in them. They hide a multitude of sins so I wear the same ones

Why would anyone get wound up about what other women wear or whether their clothing is flattering or not? How strange.

Better yet the OP can stop talking nonsense about people who don't wear clothes in accordance to their wishes concerning their bodies and if they are aesthetically up to OPs standards so as not to offend!
