I dont know who needs to read this...but here i go.

Leggings, yes those thin, skin tight, tasteless, awful "trousers" as some dare to call them.
Have you seen your butt?
Im not shaming, laughing or otherwise. Im expressing opinion. Free speech and all that.
So, when you wear them with double wardrobe bum take a look on the backside, stomach. What is showing and hanging.
Women who started wearing them had butt to show off as they went to gym every day. Later it became trend and cheap way to cover skin.
You can still wear leggings, but be reasonable. Pick something that covers butt at least, doesn't show how far belly is hanging. Etc
We have normalised abnormalities. Why?

I hate seeing men in jogging trousers with their bits flapping around. I don’t know where to look 😳

Depends on the man ha ha

I agree. The gorgeous girls wearing thick leggings can get away with it, but it’s a revolting look on anyone else.

This week I encountered a thin beige pair showing every cellulite crater, wobble, fat bulge, arse outline and fold in the oversize knickers underneath.

Yep. Each to their own but it isn't a good look. Don't like seeing men in too small clothles either, thank gawd I'm not on the dating scene anymore, because some of these guys really think they are god's gift. Urgh.

londongirl12 · 22/11/2025 16:35

We’ve normalised being a bitch too it seems.

You need therapy for your utter hatred of the things

I’m a disgusting porkster so I wear leggings and long loose shirts to cover my blubber.

I’d welcome some fashion advice on what I should be wearing OP?

It doesn’t seem worth making any effort because I look gross in everything.

I bet you aren't that bad irl, don't beat yourself up.

Brefugee · 22/11/2025 16:38

good one OP, i needed a laugh

I recommend you go to the supermarket and stock up on cranberry juice. With your judgy pants hoiked up so high, your are going to give yourself awful thrush.

Maybe read the post again. I said those bums who don't look good...why would you wear leggings
I simply dont understand it

Because they are comfortable? Because the people wearing them are comfortable in their own skin, and don’t feel the need to consider the views of random strangers?

I wear them in the winter, with a long, bum-covering tunic - it’s a warm outfit and I think it looks OK - though as I am very overweight, maybe you’d prefer I wore an all-enveloping cloak, to save your delicate sensibilities from the awful sight that is me, @SunandRain101.

You are free to have whatever nasty opinions you want - but if you proclaim them loudly and proudly as you have here, don’t be surprised if people find you offensive. I can - and am - losing weight (despite being disabled by long covid and being unable to walk more than a few metres) - can someone change from being unpleasantly judgemental?

Wickedlittledancer · 22/11/2025 16:44

im not sure that’s true.i know when i wore a lot of leggings it was as I was fat, and it was the easiest option. I certainly didn’t wear them as I was comfortable in my own skin.

Leggings don't have pockets.
Leggings make it easier to be in denial about weight gain. So less likely I expect to change something about lifestyle and more likely to end up with resultant health issues.

My reasons for thinking they are awful, whilst defending the option to choose to wear them if you wish.

Leggings can absolutely have pockets

@DoraSpenlow Oh God, the thought of men in leggings is even worse!

I'm saying that it's not really socially acceptable to police women's clothing choices.

I do wear leggings in the privacy of my own home or at the gym. No one needs to see my arse wobbling down the high street. So many people having no pride in their appearance these days. I'm with you OP.

I don't think I have ever been bothered or offended due to seeing a women's arse. What's the issue?

Jeschara · 22/11/2025 16:54

OP is a troll or a pathetic individual, why is she looking, and getting upset about this. I am late 60s, I wear leggins, and tunics/dresses, with boots, looks good, and and is comfortable. I also wear jeans. What's your obsession with other people's clothing?

Vodka1 · 22/11/2025 17:00

Not hiding my saggy bum or thighs to please you, same way I'll wear dresses and rock my bingo wings with 0 shame.

Grow up & don't look.

If you feel the need to stare then I'm just gonna call you a little pervert x

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 22/11/2025 17:00

I don't care if it is body-shaming, but if you want to wear light pink or peach coloured leggings, make sure they leggings are made out of thick fabric.

Yes!

Another reason why I love Sweaty Betty (thought I tend to look out for their sales).

Picklejuiceleak · 22/11/2025 17:21

But why do you care? I see unappealing things daily and I just don’t even think about it.

I’m wearing riding tights currently. They look like leggings. Many equestrians do. Are we meant to wear something inappropriate because you don’t like them? How about no.

Allseeingallknowing · 22/11/2025 17:22

Posters do seem to agree that a tunic or long top is needed for the larger sizes. When someone is bending over right in front of you on the bus it’s hard to avert one’s eyes!

Autie · 22/11/2025 17:25

Lovetosurf · 22/11/2025 08:41

Just my personal opinion on leggings:
They're just so boring.
For gym/yoga/athletics etc, around the house or wearing as pyjamas, that's ok. Not sure how/why they migrated out of these environments! 😂
Leggings under a nondescript tunic/top - dull, dull, dull. But I understand people wear them to be comfortable and warm.
Black leggings with crop tops, 3/4 socks etc - clonesville!

I have leggings which are rainbow dragon scales. If that's your definition of dull I don't want to be interesting.

I wear them as I don't like the feeling of my trousers moving and they're comfortable. IDGAF what anyone else thinks.

Catterbat · 22/11/2025 17:34

Actually when I see a size 18-24+ lass in a pair of tight leggings with her big wobbly arse on display I just think - I wish I was as confident as you. You bloody go, girl.

Good for her! I hope she felt fabulous.

FlouncyAndGone · 22/11/2025 17:39

I wear leggings because they are comfy for me.
I wasn't aware i was dressing for the SunAndRain101 gaze....

I have an arse. Massive one! Looks good in leggings!
I also have an umbilical hernia which makes tight-waisted trousers unbearable and unwearable.

I also don't look at, or comment on other people's fashion choices or bodies in a negative way

I don’t think it’s any of your business what I wear.

DelphiniumBlue · 22/11/2025 18:03

What’s the purpose of your post, OP? Do you enjoy insulting women? Are you hoping to get responses that you can use for something else?
If you are genuine and sincere, maybe think about how you talk about other people and their bodies. You’re not coming across as a decent person. I’m wondering why you are expressing your thoughts in this way, and why women in leggings are your target rather than, say, guys in less than flattering T-shirts.

ghostiewhisp · 22/11/2025 18:08

I’m a size 18 and wearing cord leggings today. With a long black vest and a checked oversize shirt and Ugg Wilcox boots
looks nice

I wouldn’t wear nude colour but yes I wear a cropped t shirt and leggings to exercise in
