Leggings, yes those thin, skin tight, tasteless, awful "trousers" as some dare to call them.
Have you seen your butt?
Im not shaming, laughing or otherwise. Im expressing opinion. Free speech and all that.
So, when you wear them with double wardrobe bum take a look on the backside, stomach. What is showing and hanging.
Women who started wearing them had butt to show off as they went to gym every day. Later it became trend and cheap way to cover skin.
You can still wear leggings, but be reasonable. Pick something that covers butt at least, doesn't show how far belly is hanging. Etc
We have normalised abnormalities. Why?

I wear leggings daily for my dog walks. I am 73 and a size 14 and have most awesome arse. In the cold I wear three pairs and have a tripple awesome arse.

Leggings are bloody awful in any situation on any person in any outfit, but like the DFS sale and the Mariah Christmas song, they'll always be around and we'll just have to live with them. I've succumbed to wearing them when I'm not leaving the house because they really are that comfy, and I may get a fleece lined pair if the cold continues. You can't fight City Hall.

Just be glad the ski stirrup ones haven't come back yet.

Who do we go to judge whether our bum looks good or if we have body “abnormalities”? I think my bum looks pretty good otherwise I wouldn’t wear leggings. But will the Bum Police agree?? Or is this a crowdsourced thing, in which case I think you should go first OP. Show us your lower half and those of us with and without abnormalities can decide your wardrobe for you

If someone is happy wearing leggings why should other people feel offended? Wear what the hell you like. I love leggings, my ass is ok ish, I don’t give a f#ck what other people think and why should I? I don’t know you or the 500 people that walk past me whilst I am wearing leggings.

No one owes anyone a certain way of looking. Everyone can wear whatever they want. A fat bum or a hanging tummy only feels “bad” because in your mind the only people who can show off their bodies in leggings are very gorgeous, fit women. But everyone is different, and in reality those fit models are a tiny minority. We all come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and that’s wonderful.

Just look at photos of "ladies day" in various races. People don't care about dressing up for their body, their shape, their physical appearance.

Also, if someone is not slim and toned, they still have to wear clothes. Leggings are comfy and practical, and fashionable. The thin ones do look ridiculous when worn as trousers, on anyone, but if that's the look they want to give, who cares

I agree they are only flattering on those size 12 and below, with a good figure, but they’re cheap and comfortable so they’re here to stay. I do think some with fuller figures aren’t aware that they are see through when stretched, or that the bum needs covering

Bit perverse to be staring long enough to list flaws in someone else's backside. More worried for the OP and other folks minds than I am about what people are wearing on their bottom half.

Correction, I’ve just realised that mine are straight legged joggers rather than leggings. Phew, hopefully that is more acceptable to the OP
