Come on ladies.

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 12/03/2008 10:32

Aha there you are!!

Well in true I've-lost-2lbs-so-lets-go-mad fashion yesterday my diet went completely to pot - weetabix in the morning followed by nothing all day until teatime which was fish, chips, peas and a barmcake. Then two bottles of red and a bucket of cheese doritos with a friend last night Cue me resting my head on dh's desk as I type this...I h ave just been to dd's lent assembly and blubbed my eyes out too so feeling quite floppy and emotional (not to mention windblown) today.

Oh, also, hope you are feeling a bit better Berrie

Finally, FINALLY!!! the dog went in for her op yesterday, she is having it done today. There were complications before we went away which meant we had to wait until we got back to take her back in. Anyway, she should be going to theatre right about now.

LyraSilvertongue · 12/03/2008 11:07

Fingers crossed for the dog Binkle.
I've got DS2 at home this morning. DP was taking him to school and he was larking about in the wind and smashed his forehead into a lamp post. He's got an enormous lump now.
He came home, demanded to lie on the sofa watching endless episodes of Big Cook Little Cook and said in a very sad voice that he needed lots of nice things to eat to make him feel better.

Zebedeedoodah · 12/03/2008 11:11

Gotcha!
He doesn't sound that poorly then Lyra
Binkle, I hope all goes well.

binkleandflip · 12/03/2008 11:15

Aww poor little mite!! Speaking as one who has smashed their head on a lampost - it really does smart a bit!

LyraSilvertongue · 12/03/2008 11:20

DP ovrreacted a little, demanding I take him straight to the doctor. We would have sat there for three hours waiting to be seen, only to be told to keep an eye on him and give him some Calpol if he head a headache. So I didn't take him.

I'm enjoying mn today - I am having a nice good-natured debate about slippers and I've also had the opportunity to brag about my car tax renewal for the Prius - £15 for the year

LyraSilvertongue · 12/03/2008 11:32

£15! Not fair. Mine was £112 for 6 months!

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 12/03/2008 11:34

Ah yes Lyra - I remember it only too well with my old cars - this is the first time I have actually beamed when I saw the brown envelope!!

Berrie · 12/03/2008 11:41

Hello!

Feeling a lot more normal now but can't eat yet. Had something last night and kept it down though so don't feel so drippy today.
Hey ...get me..I've not had any alcohol since ...Wednesday night!

Hope poor doggy and poor Lyra's ds is ok.

LyraSilvertongue · 12/03/2008 13:43

DS is fine. The play date we had planned went ahead and he and his little girlfriend had a great time.

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 12/03/2008 15:44

How's the dog Binkle? Is she ok?

binkleandflip · 12/03/2008 23:07

THe dog has had the op, apparently all is well and I can pick her up tomorrow!!

LyraSilvertongue · 13/03/2008 10:12

Great news!

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 13/03/2008 10:13

Morning all.
Binkle - how's the dog?
Berrie - I hope you're feeling better.
Lyra - has DS recovered, or does he have the mother of all bruises & matching black eyes which you now have to explain to every person you meet?
Oggs - where are you?!

Meanwhile at Zeb Towers, DH is in a thumping bad mood because the budget is an 'effing socialist disaster'. Still he's heading back to London today, so that'll be some peace & quiet.

Ooh, and latest news. I just read that Richard Armitage is in the next series of Spooks, which makes me happy!

LyraSilvertongue · 13/03/2008 10:15

DS's forehead egg is now turning blue so he's going to look a bit odd for a few days. Luckily lots of mums witnessed the lamppost headbutting incident so we don't have to explain it away.

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 13/03/2008 10:25

DS headbutted the bobbly end of a pine bed at my mum's - fortunately with both of us as witnesses. She was mortified as it was her fault, but relieved I saw it too. I hate having to do the explanation thing though when you take them to nursery.

LyraSilvertongue · 13/03/2008 10:51

Mine always seem to have bumps, lumps or cuts on their foreheads. I wonder if this is a boy thing because they play such rough games.

Zebedeedoodah · 13/03/2008 13:25

I've just spent 2 1/2 hours giving someone their appraisal. I now can't face doing the gym. I need a drink!

LyraSilvertongue · 13/03/2008 13:46

Don't do it Zeb. Get thee to the gym!

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 13/03/2008 14:42

it didn't happen....

binkleandflip · 13/03/2008 14:53

Hey thats a point where's oggs been?

I'm picking the dog up at 5.30 tho I am dreading driving on the motorway (she's an hour away) because I am always so paranoid that a lorry will blow over on me when its like this.

binkleandflip · 13/03/2008 14:54

Naughty Zeb missing the gym

Truth be told I was supposed to go yesterday but skived off because my head was thumping from the red wine

Zebedeedoodah · 13/03/2008 15:16

Tomorrow. I promise. I've even taken my ball up there.

oggsfrog · 14/03/2008 07:38

Hellooooooooo Bloody BT. Phone's been off since Mon.
Can't stop, got to take my 2 kittens to be neutered/spayed. I'll be back later.
