Hope you all find me.

I'm not sure Gord would have appreciated it, somehow

Oh get on with you Lyra, I bet you'd love to run your fingers through those Heathcliffian locks

oggsfrog · 20/03/2008 16:37

Eeeww.
Still don't know who this Matthew Wright blokey is... Can he sing? Does he look good topless? Is he drop dead gorgeous?
Thought not. I'll stick to Hugh thanks .
Zeb I posted the money today. Couldn't be arsed with Paypal . Still no sign of Paperback Hero .

Berrie · 20/03/2008 19:47

I am jealous Lyra. Gordon...you can keep him but Matthew Wright.
Oggs. He presents a morning current affairs programme on Channel 5. He is not especially good looking but he is very smiley.
I had quite an intimidating day today. The people were all very high powered 'big' in Education people. I was one of the few actual tutors there and frankly I didn't have the lingo. They were all very interested in what I hgad to say which was intimidating since I didn't have the right language at my finger tips but I'm glad I did it and I'll be going back each term as part of a national 'expert' group.
Now I can relax and enjoy the weekend in Richmond! (On brothers pc!)

oggsfrog · 20/03/2008 20:21

Are dh and dc there too Berrie? I'm glad it went okay .

Berrie · 21/03/2008 09:17

We are all here. Off to Kew Gardens today I hope. Right time for hot cross buns.

oggsfrog · 21/03/2008 10:15

Have a good time . Ask db which frames go best with a fat face

Zebedeedoodah · 21/03/2008 10:51

Cheers Oggs. Have you watched it yet?
Having a quiet weekend I think. Basically catching up on stuff, and frankly, venturing out on Cornish roads on a bank holiday is NOT my idea of a good time

Berrie, screw those edjucashun types. The language stuff is just used because they have nothing to say so blind you with meaningless jargon in order to complicate and obscure what they're trying to say. The best way to tackle that is the passive aggressive 'I'm sorry, li'l ole me is too stupid to understand. So please speak PLAIN ENGLISH!!!!!.' You'd be surprised how many other people in the room heave a sigh of relief because they didn't have the guts to speak up. Trust me. I've done this more than once, being a private sector gal whose landed up in the public sector

LyraSilvertongue · 21/03/2008 17:47

How was Kew Gardens, Berrie? We were in Richmond Park this afternoon.

Berrie · 23/03/2008 09:23

Happy Easter everyone!

Kew was lovely thanks Lyra.
Bit soggy for egg hunting today
How is it where the rest of you are?
We are heading home today I think. DH has some work to do on my blimmin' hen house!

LyraSilvertongue · 23/03/2008 10:55

It's snowing and freezing cold here. We've decided to delay easter egg hunting till tomorrow. Also DP's working today so I'm taking the boys to my gym/pool for the day. Hopefully they'll allow me a few minutes in the jacuzzi to defrost my frozen bones.

Zebedeedoodah · 23/03/2008 11:21

Brrrr. Happy Easter to you all. There's no snow here but it's still pretty cold and horridly wet. DS is very worried though because Granny told him Grandpa had turned into a snowman when he was walking the dog.

I hope you're all having a lovely day despite the Christmas conditions. I'm spending the day doing the VAT on a bit of a hangover.

Oggs - thanks, I received the money. I'm not sure when it arrived as I found it in a stack of post DH had thrown in the back of the land rover. Harrumph. I hope you've enjoyed the movie!

Soopersillyass · 24/03/2008 19:40

A belated Happy Easter. How sick are you all of chocolate?
Hope you had a lovely time Berrie .
Lyra. Jacuzzi. .
Zeb, not watched it yet. We did first 3 episodes of Rome, and Hot Fuzz over weekend.
Where is Binkle? Hope her doggy is okay. Did it have the op?

oggsfrog · 24/03/2008 19:46

Oh FFS. Forgot to change .

Berrie · 25/03/2008 07:27

Morning all! Back to normal for me.
Coop needs a catch on the egg box,and a couple of catches on the main door to stop Mr Fox poking his nose in. I need some straw /wood shavings and some wood chippings for the run. I need to paint the inside of the house. I was going to say nearly done but that sounds a lot to me!

Berrie · 25/03/2008 08:34

Up 2lbs (she says eating nutella on toast for breakfast)

Zebedeedoodah · 25/03/2008 09:09

Morning all. Berrie, I'm glad you have happy chickens. You could also try reynardine around the place to keep the pesky fox off. Stinks, but it sort of works...for a bit anyway.

I spent Sunday pm with my arms inside the guts of 'Poppy the Infertile' - remember her? She was the one we tried everything with to no avail, but just hadn't got around to sending her to visit Mr Abbatoir. Anyway... turns out she WAS PG, so I assisted with a caesarian on her. Bad news is though, that despite producing the best bull calf all season, she rolled on it overnight, not having a shred of mothering instinct. DH NOT HAPPY. Still, at least she CAN do it.

Oh, Oggs, I watched Paperback Hero last night. A very nice Aussie movie. I liked the humour of it too. Definitely a feel-good romcom. Oh, and much better than the other one.

oggsfrog · 25/03/2008 12:35

Oh poor calf. Is it squished or will it be okay? Do you and dh do all the hands on or do you have a farm manager Zeb?
Have stayed the same weight wise.

Zebedeedoodah · 25/03/2008 13:03

No, totally squished I'm afraid, so he's gone...

Nope, we have no farm manager as such, but we have a man who comes and does stuff like feeding up when DH isn't here so I don't have to. During the operation we were assisting the vet. Up to my elbows....niiiiice

Berrie · 25/03/2008 15:37

Oh dear Zeb

Zebedeedoodah · 25/03/2008 16:07

Thanks, but I'm fine - and I now know I'm not at all squeamish. It was DH who went into a mouldering brooding silent sulk, so I was glad to see the back of him this morning. I was even tempted to slip some of my ADs into his coffee this morning

Berrie · 26/03/2008 08:01

Tee hee Zeb. You are the real Farmer obviously. Do you chew straw?

Zebedeedoodah · 26/03/2008 08:56

Ooo-arrrr Missus. Gerrorrrrrrf moi laaaaand or I'll set the dogs on yer.

If anyone read the Saturday Telegraph this weekend, I think I'm a 'modern Bunbury'.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/03/2008 09:08

Oh, poor calf
Things are mad here because we've got some people in putting down a new wood floor. We had the tiles taken up yesterday then they put down a screed and left it to dry overnight. All our dining room furniture is in the living room so we're living in the bedrooms atm. The new floor is going down as we speak and it's sooooo exciting!! I've never had a new floor before.
Of course the new floor means we'll have to do something about the tatty walls. Then when that's done the woodwork will need a coat of gloss. Before you know it I'll have repainted the whole house.

Berrie · 26/03/2008 09:12

Is this to help sell the house Lyra?
Didn't read the telegraph...which day?
