Hello

Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

OP posts:
MadEyeMacdog · 21/07/2007 08:12

Ha I've read the end of HP!!!

I think that's possibly the sign of a true depressive, I read the end of a book in case I die in the middle.

Keep on bouncing, Jenn.
Dr Macdog prescribes a nice brisk walk today, followed by more bouncing

JennsterSlugSlayer · 21/07/2007 08:43

Waiting for my book to arrive. Probably won't be 'til about 1.00pm though.

Got back to sleep and I'm having irregular contractions... I think. How weird. It's not like it's my first time

JennsterSlugSlayer · 21/07/2007 15:03

What sort of bees produce milk?

MadEyeMacdog · 21/07/2007 16:28

??

MadEyeMacdog · 21/07/2007 19:00

boo-bees??

JennsterSlugSlayer · 21/07/2007 19:09

Yep!

You read HP yet? Only got to the second chapter because I had a couple of hours sleep this afternoon.

JennsterBlastEndedScrewtSlayer · 21/07/2007 19:14

Name change!

worleyhurley · 21/07/2007 21:57

hellooo!!!!

our hp arrived at 10.30 this morning, ds1 had to finish reading the last few chapters of the order of the phoenix and hes now on chapter 9 of the deathly hallows, not bad for an eight year old

im watching you;ve got mail, i cant believe i've not seen it before,

i got some flowers this morning, from my auntie ready for my birthday tomorrow, they're lovely pink and white roses and have some rosemary in with them also, so i can smell then and keep thinking of a roast dinner as my mum uses rosemary with roast lamb.

ds2 asleep on the settee next to me, he has a cold ... again... we got some calpocold today, and he takes it a bit easier than medised stuff. he didnt even manage to eat all his roast chicken and veg for tea and its one of his faves.

JennsterBlastEndedSkrewtSlayer · 21/07/2007 23:16

Wow that's good going. I am now spelled correctly. I've just watched a good film and stopped crying. REALLY my sister should know better and shouldn't recommend films where pregnant women and children die to pregnant women.

VeronicaCorningstone · 22/07/2007 19:45

[shocked emoticon] just got back from a fab weekend at inlaws, went to a friends birthday bbq and I got w a s t e d... stayed in bed till midday today while MIL looked after dd/ fed breakfast to her etc...heavenly! then inlaws took her for a walk so I got half an hour to read a book in their conservatory! then ate MILs delicious roast dinner, and slept in car on way home!!
Great start to my week off.

MDog- I cant believe you read the end first!
Jenn - I cant believe you're having an oddly slow labour!!
Worley - so sorry your ds2 is full of a cold again...send him a virtual hug.

Have a great evening, folks X

Hurrah, just realised I guessed the day correct

Worley, Happy birthday for yesterday

JennsterBubsLayer · 23/07/2007 13:20

Or Anthony Joseph. MIL not happy with other way around as sil stole Joseph from us......7 years ago and different surname.... I prefered J A until he was born and really don't mind now. DH a bit pissed off with his mother.

MadEyeMacdog · 23/07/2007 13:48

Either way round sounds lovely.
So happy for you all

VeronicaCorningstone · 23/07/2007 19:20

VeronicaCorningstone · 23/07/2007 22:02

ps my composting bin has arrived...how do you make compost? need recipe urgent. tar.

worleyhurley · 23/07/2007 22:37

congrats too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i cant believe you were on here also a few hours later, i hope you are getting lots of tlc and rest. did you manage with just your tens machine? god, your brave, or is brave the word, maybe strong??

we have wifi at the travel lodge so imloving sitting in bed with the ds1 and ds2 asleep, big brother on in the back ground while we can surf the net wireless. its amazing!! no leads trailing everywhere.

we went to cannock park this afternoon for a long walk, and are off to warick castle tomorrow, apparently its near impossible to get in or out of the main stratford center so we may try weds when the rain seems to be suppossedly clearing a bit...n

worleyhurley · 23/07/2007 22:40

lol at a composting recipe,,

lots of veg peelings, fruit waste, egg shells, what else?? tea bags?? those tesco bags with the ladybirds can go in there apparently when they are all used up, they break down... or so my mum has told me, she has 3 of the big compost biins hid up down the side of the house....

dont put it in a sunny place or it starts to smell a bit when it heats up in the summer. [ergh face]

worleyhurley · 23/07/2007 22:44

oh oh oh

i forgot to say that saturday ds2 started to stand up by himself and then yesterday he just started walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he looks so funny, he walks like a cowboy whi just got off his horse!! hes so pleased with him self he stands and claps himself.

he can walk the length of the travel lodge corridor!!! you wouldnt think that sat he only just learnt to stand!!

at the cost of shoes for ds1 and ds2

JennsterBubsLayer · 24/07/2007 08:26

Grass clippings are good as long as there is a good layer of dry stuff next to it as they go slimey. shredded paper or torn up egg boxes are good there. Also if you are in a hurry, Garrotta compost accelerator.

Definitely no cooked food or meat or fish or dairy. Egg shells are ok.

Vegetable peelings, over ripe fruit. Peach, lychee, nectarine, apricot etc pits do not compost so pick them out after. Personally I don't put weeds in my compost because we have a brown wheelie the council takes away and am not sure which ones are perrenial or not and if it gets hot enough to kill any seeds.

Check out my posh bin I also have a wormery

JennsterBubsLayer · 24/07/2007 08:28

Congratulations to the littlest Hurley. Sale on in Clarks now. Just bought dd her first walking shoes for £10. Measured at the grand size of 3 F.

MadEyeMacdog · 24/07/2007 18:38

Hurrah for Worleybub!

Been a great few days for everyone on this thread, hasn't it.

dd and I went to the beach with my mum again today. Forgot to put sunscreen on my feet and got all burnt
dd had a ball

VeronicaCorningstone · 24/07/2007 19:15

Wow to mini worley...dd isnt standing alone yet, but leans onto furniture all the time.

Hows life with 2 Jenn?
How has your dd taken it?
Did you get blood/fluid all over your new bathroom?
Which labour was worst?
which was longer?
Did you feel better 2nd time as you knew what was happening?
are you bf again? Is it the same/easier?

sorry for all questions but would find it useful if you have a spare second!!!!!!
Lots of love to all

get some cream on those burnt footsies!!!
