Hello

Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

OP posts:
JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/07/2007 23:31

Thought you could keep your profile private from everybody but your mates?

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/07/2007 23:31

Bullocks just made my profile public too.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/07/2007 23:33

logged out and logged in?

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/07/2007 23:33

Well I assume you are just not meant to know about me!

JennsterSlugSlayer · 17/07/2007 23:42

It's HERE

MadEyeMacdog · 18/07/2007 11:28

I read it, I read it!!

Your profile is either public or private, it's your pics that can be MNmates only.

Puss, I've updated your name, so try again

We're going to the beach this pm with my mum. Hopefully the sun will continue
(I am fully aware I'm tormenting the life out of you lot with the lovely sunshine )

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/07/2007 11:43

Yay. Remind me madeye, I can't be arsed rereading last HP. What is a horcrux? Maybe I should find a site that does a pretty good synopsis.

Went swimming this morning and have just booked a reflexology session for Friday afternoon.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/07/2007 14:07

OMG. Just had a massive hypo. Sweats, shakes, palpitations, dizzyness. And I haven't skipped a meal. Just shows you how sensitive I am to sugar! Been swimming this morning, and painting bathroom cabinet and sanding bookshelves. Too much activity I think. Will take it easy this afternoon with paper and biscuit tin. Need to eat up the peanut butter cookies. I'm not mad keen on them, and have the ingredients for the gorgeous white chocolate and macadamia nut ones. Think we might be at neighbours house with local vicar (our mate) on Friday so will do a day of baking. Cherry and polenta cake I think.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/07/2007 14:08

And have just decided that I'm going to spend an obscene amount of money on a Dualit toaster with the vouchers I won at work. Still have some wedding present ones too.

PussyAmour · 18/07/2007 19:16

just made mini fruitcake muffins with loads of mixed spice. so gorgeous..

come on jenn, get that baby out....
nice pics madeye and interesting you like P&P Jenn...
kira k vs. the uk tv version...

'No Lace, Mrs Bennett, I beg you...'

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/07/2007 19:45

Actually I think they both have their good points, but you just can't beat the on screen frission between Jennifer and Colin. LOVED the TV version of Persuasion too. Thought the Mansfield Park one with Billy Piper was pants though.

Going to have to make banana cake tonight before my kitchen gets engulfed with fruit flies. it doesn't really taste of bananas by the time you add the spice and fruit, AND you don't need to put any sugar in it. (well a little honey) It's actually quite good for you with wholemeal flour but VERY moist.

MadEyeMacdog · 18/07/2007 19:48

The definition of a Horcrux given by Professor Slughorn:

"Well, you split your soul, you see, and hide part of it in an object outside the body. Then, even if one's body is attacked or destroyed, one cannot die, for part of the soul remains earthbound and undamaged. But, of course, existence in such a form...few would want it, Tom, very few. Death would be preferable...you must understand that the soul is supposed to remain intact and whole. Splitting it is an act of violation, it is against nature...Killing rips the soul apart." (HBP US, pp. 497-498)

(nicked from Mugglenet just for you )

Had lovely day at beach, dd even tried paddling in sea.
Got her a Little Tikes Trike in Factory shop for £18, bit of a bargain . Can't wait to get her out on it.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 18/07/2007 21:08

Thanks Macdog. Cake in oven, bun still in oven.

Am bouncing on ball.

JennsterSlugSlayer · 19/07/2007 05:37

Wahoo

Been quite crampy all night and having just had a hot chocolate think I might be able to get a couple more hours sleep. Think talk of a sweep has geed uterus on a bit. Only problem is I have NO IDEA where my TENS machine is. When it's a decent hour think I will ring round all pharmacies in the area to see if they have a machine available to hire, and then post a 'WANT TO BORROW' on freecycle.

VeronicaCorningstone · 19/07/2007 10:49

oooooooh Jenn...are things a-moving?
Name changed again to honour my FAVOURITE film, Anchorman...was gutted that 'Tits McGee' is already in use by another MN...
I will try and hunt her down...

MadEyeMacdog · 19/07/2007 11:50

Oooooooooh!!!

Am sending big positive vibes your way Jenn, just in case !

Oh lordy! dd has just managed to climb onto settee........ and off again with a less than graceful dismount!
No harm done, she's trying to climb up again. No wonder I'm going grey

JennsterSlugSlayer · 19/07/2007 14:24

Didn't manage to get to sleep again, but have sanded and painted the bookcase, found my Tens machine, and getting more and more cramps coming all the time.

Went for a long walk and bought a baby monitor and some more sleep/feeding bras. That exhausted me and so I had an hours kip before dh came home for lunch.

Have a bit of cooking to do this afternoon. Just declined a sweep, think things are kicking off anyway, and so want to avoid 'unnatural' help. There was a trace of protein, but mw said probably the show that's caused it. I asked if semen could do it too and apparently it can. Really looking forward to reflexology tomorrow.

MadEyeMacdog · 19/07/2007 18:52

and at having to explain that to the midwife!!

Will keep up the vibes.

Have a read at The Parent's Guide to Kids TV and see if that sets things off. Been PMSL at it today

JennsterSlugSlayer · 19/07/2007 20:47

Well everything has slowed down, but at least I've managed to cook tonights dinner (delicious organic roast chicken and salad), a shepherds pie, a bolognaise and a chilli all for the freezer. Oh and made a stock with chicken carcass.

MadEyeMacdog · 19/07/2007 22:42

Hat off to you Jenn.
I made macaroni cheese with broccoli and cauliflower.
Have now ingested a bottle of wine and am more than a bit tipsy

JennsterSlugSlayer · 20/07/2007 08:51

GGrr went to bed thinking I was likely to be woken up with waters or contractions as it started to ramp up again but no. Dd has gone to nursery, and the only thing I have to do today is make a soup with the stock, bake a cake for (wet) bbq tonight, buy a couple of nice boxes of choccies for midwives and go to reflexology appointment this afternoon. Right now I'm eating my oatibix and considering going back to bed. It's weird. First time around I was very relaxed about everything and couldn't have really noticed all the prelabour signs as everything happened so quickly. This time I've had a whole day of the cramps etc either I didn't get last time or didn't notice!

JennsterSlugSlayer · 20/07/2007 08:52

Mmm Macaroni Cheese. I love macaroni cheese. If I weren't considering a curry for lunch I would make it myself. Actually I might. Depending on how much time I have.

VeronicaCorningstone · 20/07/2007 14:41

Ive been working working working and have to go again tonight. grrr.
try jumping down a few stairs, Jenn...

mdog...veronicabub is also 'climbing' off the sofa,,,but not on yet...

MadEyeMacdog · 21/07/2007 00:19

Bollards!
Am drunk again waiting for dh to return from ASDA with HP so I can read the last pages when he goes to sleep

JennsterSlugSlayer · 21/07/2007 04:58

Morning ladies. Am bouncing on my ball. It hurts! It was dead easy last time. Why is it taking so long?

Jennsterbub can climb off the sofa and our bed, but they are both to high for her to climb on to. There is nothing she likes more than to sit up high and observe (but not in her high chair of course)
