Thought I'd better do a new one cos 'chat' threads go after 90 days

OP posts:
JennsterBubsLayer · 06/08/2007 20:13

wow. Swaddled ds last night and it made all the difference! He only woke up once at 1ish and then wouldn't go back down after 5.30 feed so have been up since then. We got to m&t which was good and had a nap after that. Dinner was lamb tagine (very nice) I made at lunch and we all sat down to eat together! Tomorrow we all off to Formby for funeral so will go to red squirrels in afternoon with mil. She looking after both kids while we at funeral.

worleyhurley · 06/08/2007 23:41

hello

we have had food poisoning so not been on here for what feels like forever. we had a dodgy macdonalds which kind of serves usright for being lazy. dp rang the manager and told them but he wasnt interseted and told us it takes over 24 hours for food poisoning to come out!! so we should look further back than their food!! im tempted to print out some info and post it off with a complaints letter. plus it was the only food we had both eaten from the same place.

so im not allowed back at work yet so it feels like a feebie holiday of sorts.

not much else to tell really,

i ds some little shoes as his little pram boots/shoes things from next he has worn holes in so i gothim some ickle clarks ones, he was a 2 1/2 G. the girls shoes are so pretty, he got some kind og brown/tan things. as summery as i could get him really, but it will do for whike hes at nurswery as he loves the outdoor play there and plays with the pushalongs int their little play area for his age group.

JennsterBubsLayer · 07/08/2007 08:31

bolloocks. It's not bacteria that cause food poisoning but the toxins they produce. If it takes longer than 24 hours then the bacteria produce the toxins in your body. If you get it pretty soon after eating then the food has been lying around too long and is already covered in toxins.

StormInADcup · 07/08/2007 15:00

thats quite interesting...
Ive had a dodgy tummy after a burger king about 1yr ago, havent eaten much fast food since then, the kids that make them must have filthy hands.

dd had her MMR today finally, she is fast asleep now after a tramp round the fields outside our house, well I tramped, she mostly wobbled about in her pram but its great for sending her off.

I have to work tonight, dammit
but...I must have changed shape a bit as I can fit into some jeans and combats I havent worn for 2 yrs! but I still weigh the same think my stomach muscles are finally tightening a bit, or all my walking/gardening/working is burning fat and replacing it with heavier muscle...

got my mum and dad staying for two nights, they arrive tomorrow. must remember to hoover the lounge later on...

StormInADcup · 07/08/2007 15:03

what are you all wearing the second you type your next message? and where are you!
Me first...

in the spare room, blue carpet, pale blue walls with darker blue wood pannelling (from the previous owners, never bothered changing it, did the 'yellow/orange' lounge as a priority
the window is open my the side of my head and a lovely breeze is coming in, the sky is cloudy but its warm-ish.
Im wearing army green colour combats, odd socks, magenta long tshirt, no makeup, no jewellery, hair is long and tied back in low loose ponytail.

Macdog · 07/08/2007 17:35

Macdog · 09/08/2007 11:42

Guinea pigs are so cute!
I love all the noises they make when they talk to each other.

Checked website today and dd's rocking horse has been despatched!!!
I am so excited about this

The website was this one. Loads of bargains still to be had till the end of August. I've used them a couple of times now and they are really good for quick delivery.

dd having a really healthy day today. She has had banana and melon for brekkie and is now polishing off an apple.
She seems to have got over her bug and is bouncing off the walls again.

Weather here is gorgeous again, so we're off to the park later for a run around.
Hope you all have good days too

Hello ladies.

Thought I'd managed to escape the HV but she rang this morning and is coming tomorrow. Thought I might get some bargains from that website, but didn't see anything I fancied.

Guinea pig movie here

I know it's only early days but really want to shift some weight.

Really peed of with sil. She keeps texting trying to get weather forecast for where they are on holiday. Would love to be on holiday, to be able to afford one (they go on 3 a year, 2 of which abroad)

StormInADcup · 11/08/2007 10:58

tut tut what massive carbon footprints they are leaving jetting off twice a year

StormInADcup · 11/08/2007 11:00

my sister breeds guinea pigs...she has 4 at the mo, 'the hulk' 'Mad Eye Moody' and I cant remember the other names (as you can see, they are a bit crazy, they are comic book characters (?) obv. I know the hulk...but not the others. Her DH named them, it kept him sweet. She keeps two in each hutch, they like a bit of company. they will eat all your old veggies and keep the grass short.

StormInADcup · 11/08/2007 11:01

It is roasting here today!
Just got back from a sweaty pram walk with dd as dh is working this morning.

JennsterBubsLayer · 12/08/2007 21:41

We went for a bracing walk along the prom and round the lake at Lytham today. Was lovely. Really should wake up ds or he will be awake all night trying to feed.

StormInADcup · 12/08/2007 22:39

tired feet from work!
god you forget all of the damned politics in the work place when you've been on maternity leave.............everyone has an agenda....

JennsterBubsLayer · 12/08/2007 23:29

BUGGER

Am going to be a football widow again, only now we have Setanta sports too. So much for saving money now 'i'm on £112 a week #(£90 or which goes on nursey) for the next 31 weeks.

StormInADcup · 13/08/2007 15:26

£90 on nursery is awful. Ive stopped dh seeing that bloody advert for setanta sports.
he hasnt got his season ticket this year as we cant afford it, but boy is he whining about it. Hes only missed one bloody game so far!!!!!!

JennsterBubsLayer · 13/08/2007 15:31

Well £86 something I think but hey. Just been to mother and toddlers and am starving. Ate a gorgeous quinoa tabbouleh salad for lunch and an entire packet of yoghurt coated cashew nuts. What can I eat now????? Think I should drink a large glass of water and see if that helps. Going for a nap too.
