dancerdeb · 04/07/2007 12:12

Mornin everyone, anybody any news, I still havent heard anything,
goingfor3, have you had any comeback?

goingfor3 · 04/07/2007 12:42

DD is still on option for the 11th which is the designers job, I assume she didn't get the Ted Baker as we didn't hear back for that one.

dancerdeb · 04/07/2007 12:47

goingfor3, My ds is on option for new look for 12/13/14, but havent heard anything else since, so im understandin that we didnt get it or do they wait and decide nearer the shoot date? how does this option thing work please?

mummyeme · 04/07/2007 15:05

dancerdeb,
I think that if you're optioned you are shortlisted, then will hear back if you're chosen to be booked. This is whats happened for dd in the past. But it may be different four KL, I don't know how they work but if I were you I'd give them a ring or email fingers crossedX

dancerdeb · 07/07/2007 16:28

mummyeme,
dont know either looks this thread is all ours, hopefully it will get lively when we all start getting castings, even better jobs!!

wigglesmum · 07/07/2007 18:27

Hi there!

I am a new poster though have been lurking for a while, but didn't have permanent computer access until now!

My ds is nearly 10 months old and joined Scallywags in June.

I am beginning to worry if I made the wrong decision with Scallywags- since we joined loads of new babies have also joined in his age group- and no news of castings yet. Is it still too soon or is it quiet at the moment?

Thanks!

marymay · 07/07/2007 19:49

wigglesmum..i shouldnt worry to much as you only joined them in june.my two children are a lot older sometimes they dont have anything for a month or so and then sometimes a few jobs and casting come along together. thats what i like about it you never know when the phone is going to ring

crazylazydaisy · 07/07/2007 19:58

marymay - are your dcs with scallywags?
Only asking as I dont want to disappoint you wigglesmum, but as nice as the people in Scallywags are it's been a complete waste of money for me. Had 3 castings for ds1 and one job for ds2 but nothing, not even a call, since October!! Am so in debt having shelled out about £700 to go on their book/photos etc and got back about £50 which was for castings that cost about £70 to get to
Hope you have more joy than me but i would go with another agency next time with no/low start up costs

marymay · 07/07/2007 20:18

crazylazydaisy..no my two are with urban angels.i dont really know loads about scallywags and tbh ive only ever seen them once at the castings and jobs my two have been to.but i was saying in general modelling is a bit of a waiting game.
sorry to hear you had a bad time with them.
who are you with now ?

crazylazydaisy · 07/07/2007 20:51

Their contract has just finished - tho they are still on the website, but I am not going to renew it - surprise!! As I feel a little bit "burnt" by it all (financially) Im not going to put them into another one at the moment. Having heard a lot about U.A.on this site tho, i think they would be good to try if i decide to do it again

Rubystar77 · 07/07/2007 21:29

hi ladies, i'm back. had trouble finding new thread...
no news our front, she didn't get picked for tomy and didn't hear anything for babies r us which was last week.
photos are up on bk now, are yours on there mummyeme? you pleased with yours, i love mine just wish i had done her hair different, oh well...

wigglesmum my dd 7 months is with scallywags, high fees but i know kids that have done lots of good jobs with them. i think they only had abut 5 or 6 girls in her age group and they all look different, i suppose they add babies all the time as always need the young ones.
my other dd 19 months is with bk.
no jobs yet with either, both been with them since march /april time.
i bet we will be so busy when they are about 3 or 4 we won't know what to do!!! (wishful thinking maybe) they do seem to get more work at that age.
i know what you mean though crazylazydaisy my dd1 was with rascals for a year and not even a phonecall makes you feel so out of pocket...good luck this week everyone x

dreadlocks · 08/07/2007 17:03

Hi and welcome Wigglesmum,
I can only echo what Rubystar77 posted.
We are also with Scallywags and have had lots of great jobs with them and loads of castings. However it does seem to be all or nothing. We once went 6mths without a call and another time had a casting every week for 2 months!. Other parents we have met at jobs/castings have said the same so hang in there.

ForcesSweetheart · 08/07/2007 18:08

Hi everyone. Has anyone had any recent experience with BubbleGum? DD (18mths) has been with them for about 9 months without a single casting and am getting really disheartened.

totallyfloaty35 · 08/07/2007 20:55

bubblegum used to be fab,my dd1 was with them from 1-6yrs and had heaps of work, but i know Heather the owner died a couple of yrs back so i dont know what they are like now,i think they do get work but alot of it goes to the big 4, U/A, MOT, KL AND B&B.

BigmummaL · 09/07/2007 12:50

Hi there,

Has anyone seen there new photos from UA as it's been a while and they are not up on the website yet?

totallyfloaty35 · 09/07/2007 13:24

still waiting for mine, although i do know that some have gone up as several people have posted them on msn site.

Ragamuffin · 09/07/2007 17:54

Hi everyone!!

Sorry taken forever to find the new thread........I'm so bad at that!! Wish you'd post the link to it when you switch????

Had a very busy week last week with a film casting for DS on Thursday, a job without casting for DS with Toys R Us on Friday, then a short film casting for DD and DS on Saturday.

The TRU job was great a real quick and easy job.........just a pity about the nightmare traffic on the M25 that day!!! It was for the Universe of Imagination Catalogue which will be out around Sept in time for Christmas. This will be his 3rd year to appear in this catalogue.....including being on the cover with his sister the first year!

dancerdeb · 09/07/2007 20:53

Ragamuffin, A massive congrats to you, you must be so proud, what a great week!!

Rubystar77 · 09/07/2007 21:51

Ragamuffin · 10/07/2007 09:31
