Had another lesson today which went well,i need to try and think through what i am doing more though,i keep rushing to go up a gear instead of staying in one gear and making good use of it.Although i can do the turns in the road i still feel that i have a mental block with which way to steer etc when i think about it if that makes sense?
My instructor is away next week so i will miss my lesson
Hope i don't forget everything when i have my next lesson

I was bricking it when i first strated learing to frive, but my first lesson wwas great and now 20 lessons on i am nearing me test! Luckily my driving instructor is a gem.

mrs slow,

all that you are doing is part of learning. my instructor just says (when I get toatally pissed off and angry with myself_ 'try and learn from it, thats what you are here for', and i am learning not to berate myself too much, however frustrated i get! My instructor always says, 'it past now, move on, forget about it'

i have my 21st lesson 2morrow, I expect i shall be roundabout bound, i hate em!!

i just got a message saying i had an email, but where it is i dont know!

I dont know about a pro, i learnt to drive 20 yrs ago, but failed my test, so things like clutch control have come back t me relatively easily.

the rest, well dont know really !!!

some kind of 'learnt ' inner strength, aquired over the yrs!!

I'm still going really slowly with my lessons.

I've missed lots because of my dd being ill, but last one we did reversing round corners. It was a nightmare - my instructor got so annoyed with me, and he's generally very patient. I just couldn't grasp it, it hurt my brain just thinking about it - i was doing crazy circles in the wrong direction, no matter what i did, the car went anywhere but where i wanted it to.

By my 20th attempt he was making pleading humming noises and just staring at his hands. Not sure i'm actually capable of it.

i had a lesson this morning....i swear i get worse. i bloody hate the clutch! i stalled so many times it's getting beyond being funny now.

dp's work situation is going to change sooner than we thought, which means i need to pass my test sooner than we thought. with this in mind my instructor has agreed to switch me to automatic lessons, so next week i'm having a go in his new car......i think i'm getting worse because i'm distracted by the fact i have a deadline.....

You sound very organised having booked your theory and all,i think i just keep putting off the inevitable.
QueenRollo-Oh that's a shame you don't get on with a manual but if you really need to pass soon then i think you are doing the right thing in switching to an automatic.If you weren't working to a deadline on passing then you could probably spend longer learning.
