Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!

Put some oil or butter around her toe and try to ease it out!!!!! Drain the water and wrap her up!!!!!

Angeliz · 30/09/2005 09:56

try olive oil or butter?

Racers · 30/09/2005 09:56

can you drain the bath and put some towels round her? then try pouring shampoo or liquid soap over toe? does cool water help ? should reduce swelling... trying to write quickly as obviously urgent... will keep thinking if any other ideas come up will post. good luck

Have you got any WD40? If so squirt that around her toe and the tap and try to turn her toe to see if it'll slip out in a different direction.

Zephyrcat · 30/09/2005 09:58

Oh no! Yes try and use some oil or washing up liquid to gently ease it out but the more she moves it around it might start to swell and get more stuck.... if it's really really stuck call the fire brigade!

morningpaper · 30/09/2005 09:58

I agree, just stay on mumsnet for as long as possible - at least she won't get into trouble

how long will he be??!

Fauve · 30/09/2005 10:06

Take a photo so she can dine out on it. Seriously, it might help to make a bit of a joke of it, depending on her age poor thing. I have no more suggestions than butter, etc; except maybe some Arnica (homeopathic remedy) to reduce swelling, if you have some.

Brookmyre · 30/09/2005 10:07

Is it a small tap or a large toe?

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:11

this is too funny. i once got my finger stuck in a teacup handle in a fancy café & had to be led to the kitchen to have the thing smashed off me.

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 10:12

People find MN in all sorts of situations, don't they?!

Feeding troubles, sibling rivalry, toe-wedged daughters...

No no no

It's Friday comedy

I'm assuming that we have a pre-schooler, with her toe stuck in a tap, while her mum comes to chat on mn

and then gets her HUSBAND round to fix it? What's HE going to do? Take the rubbish out?
