oh yeah thats a good idea, put an electric appliance just over the bath for her

sparklymieow · 30/09/2005 10:49

Telly, bath tray!! Are you mad..........??????????

nailpolish · 30/09/2005 10:50

i hope you filled with cold first before you added the hot

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:50

plug the telly in near a filled bath? you are pulling our legs.

pardon the pun.

marthamoo · 30/09/2005 10:50

Good idea, brookmyre - I imagine it can be quite dull being stuck in the bath. Put Fern and Phillip on for her if they're on.

Angeliz · 30/09/2005 10:50

o.k, it IS a joke then.

If not for the love of GOD don't put a telly in the bathroom you crazy lady

If it's not a joke you really need to get her help

bit confusing

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:51

Surely the bath is either freezing or scalding, what with her foot being in one of the taps!

Enid · 30/09/2005 10:51

ok

ring the firebrigade

or

you are a troll

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:51

either it's a joke or myre is an idiot.

nailpolish · 30/09/2005 10:52

good point flamebat

LadyTophamHatt · 30/09/2005 10:52

Yes, the telly on the bathtray will be a fantastic idea.

What about taking the toaster in there too. I bet she's getting hungry.

I really am hoping it's a joke now as i'd feel quite sick now if it's real

Brookmyre?

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:52

Am I the only one who is just enjoying this thread? I lost any belief that it was real a very very long time ago!

waterfalls · 30/09/2005 10:53

FGS

Enid · 30/09/2005 10:53

if she is getting chilly I recommend a plug in electric fan heater, you could balance it on the back of the bath. If it's got an old-fashioned fraying flex, so much the better.

Pinotmum · 30/09/2005 10:53

You could blow dry her hair while she's in there as well as it's probably wet now.

Pinotmum · 30/09/2005 10:54

I'll have to do house work in abit

marthamoo · 30/09/2005 10:54

Yep, I agree. If this isn't a joke then

  1. Call the Fire Brigade NOW.
  2. Don't plug anything in in the bathroom
  3. Don't run another bath - get her dry and wrap her up in something.
  4. Stay with her 'til the Fire Brigade come and stop coming on here - she's 4, she must be in pain and frightened.

Still think this is a wind up though. It's not Twiglett is it?

this is a great thread. it certainly beats ironing.

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:55

Surely a troll is someone who upsets people - this has brightened what started out to be a very miserable morning for me, so imo, no troll, just joke.

Fio2 · 30/09/2005 10:55

I have rang social services
