Didn't the oil or butter work then??? (This isn't a joke is it?) (Confused)

marthamoo · 30/09/2005 10:22

Now I like to give people the benefit of the doubt...but I'm struggling here.

Janh · 30/09/2005 10:22

I used to stick my toes up the taps when I was little (and smaller and more agile )

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:22

no, morning paper. husband won't do anything nearly so useful. he'll come in & switch on the tv.

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:23

You're all mad!

Fio2 · 30/09/2005 10:23

my friend got a call from school once asking if her sons nose was normally so wide, turns out he had shoved a dice up it

Fauve · 30/09/2005 10:23

Ds,11, who has just started secondary school, got his head stuck in his locker. He says it was scary.

Brookmyre · 30/09/2005 10:24

Husband isn't here so i rang NHS direct and am waiting for them to ring back.

I have sat her on a Pampers care mat and thinking i may have some ky jelly somewhere that could do the trick. Will go and look.

You need to ring the Fire Brigade.

marthamoo · 30/09/2005 10:25

KY jelly? This is a wind up.

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:25

What's a pampers caremat and what would NHS Direct do??? surely a plumber would be mroe use??

Pinotmum · 30/09/2005 10:26

PMSL Fio2. I got a rubber stuck up my nose when I was about 6 yo and remember panicing - somehow got it out without a hospital visit.

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:27

so, you're running from dd with her toe in the tap to the computer to the phone to look for some ky jelly...

hmmm

Pinotmum · 30/09/2005 10:28

This isn't making sense - a pampers care mat to sit on with her toe up the tap - has she got very long legs??

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:28

so, you're running from dd with her toe in the tap, to the computer, to the phone and then to look for some ky jelly...

missed the punctuation

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:28

My sister got balled up paper in her ear - had to go to A&E to get it out....

.... she was 17!!!!

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:28

this is a windup!

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:29

So what's the caremat???

Angeliz · 30/09/2005 10:30

Is it a joke then?
I once got me foot stuck in a VERY expensive boot in Debenhams and almost ended up in teras trying to get it off (and hide from nosy shop assistant ). I got it off by breaking the zip and then hastily left by the lift!

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:30

i think the long legs give it away

Pinotmum · 30/09/2005 10:30

In case she wee's herself?

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 10:31

How old is your DD?

sansouci · 30/09/2005 10:31

lol Angeliz. that's better than my story!

overdraft · 30/09/2005 10:31

it will just run down the plughole though

flamebat · 30/09/2005 10:31

She's in a bath - she can wee and wash it off

Or not if her toe is blocking the tap!
