FEEDBACK THREAD for Joggler testers

GeraldineMumsnet · 29/05/2009 12:12

Hi, hope your Jogglers have arrived safely. Once you've had the chance to get them set up and had a play, please can you post your feedback to these questions from O2:

  1. Did you find it easy to set up?
  1. What worked best for you?
  1. Would you recommend it to a friend?
  1. Do you think it's good value for money
  1. Would you like to see any additions?
  1. How would you use it to organise your family life?
  1. Anything else you'd like to add?

And the latest on the webchats is that they'll now take place between 1-2pm (not 7pm) on Weds 10 June and Weds 1 July on www.mum-e.co.uk, but as usual if you can't make it on the day you can leave your questions/feedback in advance and the Joggler team will answer them/respond between 1-2pm.

We'll post the urls of the chats as soon as we have them.

Happy Joggling,

MNHQ

Soupdragon, I used the cable to set it up the first time (when I was having issues with getting it connected wirelessly!)

lou031205 · 15/06/2009 18:27

atO2, I realise I am not one of your testers, but I did spend £150 on a Joggler that reminded me about a hospital appointment once I was already at the hospital . When is this going to be resolved, please?

SoupDragon · 15/06/2009 18:32

Lou, that's precisely the reason I can't be ar$ed to get mine working. If that very fundamental part of the whole thing is useless, there's not a lot of point.

SoupDragon · 15/06/2009 18:33

Whoops, I take it yours didn't say "Something's wrong, go and look at the online FAQs where you won't find any hint of an answer to the problem" then?

I think it's perhaps in mourning after I blew the last one up

whoops · 15/06/2009 18:50

no sorry it didn't but I was on the phone to o2 customer services at the time
I too have had text reminders 40 mins after the appointment has happened!
I'm going to try it again but I think there is an issue with the alarm too!

wilbur · 15/06/2009 18:58

Hmmm, I just had my first reminder message since switching to O2 - an hour and 14 mins late. Not good, this needs to be sorted out asap, or the Customer Service folk at o2 are going to be overwhelmed with people reporting them to the Advertising Standards Authority.

I am about to go away for 3 days for work and was really hoping the Joggler was going to remind dh about a few things while I am gone. No good him turning up to Cubs with ds1 when all the other boys have gone home.

bramblebooks · 15/06/2009 19:29

Now I'm feeling all special because my reminder text for DH for an important meeting turned up 10 mins ahead of time rather than an hour ahead - giving him a slim chance of getting there rather than a fighting chance.

MrsWeasley · 15/06/2009 20:15

atO2 as a response to your answer (A. from atO2: Yes, the Special Day Themes? are static on your O2 Joggler. Is that an issue? Would you prefer them to be moving as well?

Hmm no its not a issue just wanted to make sure it wasnt just mine As you are asking yes please I would love them to be moving on the Joggler too but only for on the event not the whole day

If you cant change the static Themes to moving dont worry, it wont spoil my joggler experience.

MerlinsBeard · 15/06/2009 20:46

Soupy, i have had to connect with the cable. It tells me something is wrong - it's not, i am not a computer geek by a long stretch but i managed to set up a wireless network ok

Having said that, the cable provided was far too short and i had to mess around with the one that came with my modem-don't really want it sat on my hard-drive no one would see it!

Please please have an ordinary plug with the mark 2. Its just so bloody fiddly and because of where i have to have it, and the fact that it takes up 2 sockets in my extension means i am unplugging printers and screens and stereos and the bloody plug slips off it's wierdy pin section.

BTW, DH had the crappy cocoon phone with a similar plug and that broke within a few months.

bramblebooks · 15/06/2009 21:23

Please can the photos have a rotate option, as currently I'm having to turn my head on its side for some of them!

BecauseImWorthIt · 15/06/2009 21:25

Oh yes, agree with that bramble!

SoupDragon · 15/06/2009 21:57

Why do your plugs take up 2 sockets? Mine (both of them!) fit fine in one.

I am not a geek as such but have never had a problem setting anything up before. Usually because there are some useful instructions.

MerlinsBeard · 15/06/2009 21:59

i have an 8 way extension with 4 sockets above 4 sockets. Because of the design of the plug it covers the socket above or below it. Phone charger plugs irk me too, maybe i just have aplug aversion

SoupDragon · 15/06/2009 22:12

Ah . Mine's a long 5-in-a-row extension.

PhaseAte · 15/06/2009 22:14

"Q10. Will it be wall mounted?
A10. [O2 Family Team] No in the plans at the moment
"

should that be NOT int eh plans or " no its in the plan"

cos that is the BIG isssu here

SoupDragon · 15/06/2009 22:18

Geomag and an American fridge/freezer, that's your answer. Works a treat.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 16/06/2009 16:28

Look O2, if you don't sort out the Calendar/handheld/synching capability you're gonna lose me to one of these babies...

LupusinaLlamasuit · 16/06/2009 16:30

And:

  1. How secure is the Calendar site? What protection do you have against people hacking our personal information from it?
  1. How secure is it against crashing? Is there a backup facility? You're going to have a lot of cross mummy bunnies if we rely on it and lose all our appointments. Can we back up ourselves?
  1. What will you be doing with our data? I realise you're going to use it for marketing etc, and presumably sell it on. But will it be anonymised? What level of detail will you sell (my son's name, birthday, sports clubs etc?)
PhaseAte · 16/06/2009 16:33

yes if it crashes i am DEAD MEAT

SoupDragon · 16/06/2009 17:44

they'd better not be using it for marketing or selling it on.

Haribosmummy · 16/06/2009 19:46

Agree with SoupDragon.

I would be furious, and would bin the joggler immediately, if details about my family were passed on or sold to another person.

Especially if details were collated during the 'trial' period (which I appreciate we've agreed to) and weren't told about...

I honestly had never considered the possibility of any details I entered into the calendar being collected and used by O2!

MerlinsBeard · 16/06/2009 19:54

I haven;t knowingly allowed my information to be sold on or even given away.

BTW the calendar hasn't loaded AT ALL for me today on the joggler but the alarm did work. Altho i would like it to not say snooze or dismiss - that means the same to me, can it not say snooze or switch off?

MARGOsBeenDrinkingTea · 16/06/2009 22:12

I don't think the alarm worked today. hmm. I'll try again tomorrow.

bramblebooks · 17/06/2009 10:17

Update from O2 developers please?
