  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Rocket- really bright colours and looked fun.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
At first he was really excited, it was fun but he did not like the water splashing. Lost interest after a while as it is quite big and heavy for him to play with. He is 13 months old.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Not sure, it is bright and fun but doesn’t do much. He prefers things that move and stick on the side of the bath.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Not sure, again it may be great for some children. It is well made and obviously good quality but my child has lost interest but maybe when he is older he may love it again.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
A few more features, maybe things to push, pull and perhaps a stand or something to stick to the side of the bath.

We tested the octopals which came in a nice clear box which was all recyclable. My LO liked playing with it before it got as far as the bathroom! The squirters have even been out for lunch with us (empty of course!)
He likes the ability to pour water from the mummy octopus and to play with the squirters but struggles to squeeze the water out of them currently. He likes how the green base floats in the water and tries to balance the squirters back onto the base (not very successfully yet!) he also likes sticking them to the edge of the bath so there is quite a few varieties of things to do with it.
However it is quite large to store as the squirters easily fall off when it’s not in the water. As previously mentioned it’s also quite hard to make sure all of the water is out of the squirters so I’m a bit concerned about the mould potential.
But my LO likes it, it’s well made and I would recommend it to others, I’m now coveting the other toys too! I would buy this brand over over bath toys now.
Re changes: if possible I would look at how the squirters sit on the green base and see if they can be easier to balance when stored and give advice about how to prevent mould growing in the squirters.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

Rocket fountain.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

I like the colours, baby likes that it is easy to hold.

I don't like that it is so big, takes up so much room and doesn't really do much. The bath has to be quite deep to be able to fill it properly, it might be better for an older child. My boy is 12m.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

No

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

No

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I would add more features. It doesn't really 'do' anything the dancing star is not great and I worry about it accumulating mould in that space.

I tested the Toomies Fountain Rocket.
My initial impression was that is was larger than I expected it to be and looked fun.
My child couldn't wait to have a bath so we could test out the new toy. Obviously the big feature is the way the water escapes through the bottom. This is in a way that I have never seen before in a bath toy. This was very fun and exciting. Had this been a usual straight down waterfall this most definitely wouldn't be something I would purchase.
It encouraged water play and story time and had a nice adde feature of the little alien.
I would definitely recommend this product only because of the fun water feature.
If I could add a feature I would perhaps add another element to the toy. It is quite large so maybe the top could come off for storage of smaller toys? Or it could house some smaller aliens.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Foam Cone Factory. My son was so excited to see the box and wanted to get straight into it - my initial impression of toys is often based on how he engages with it, so that was really positive and we actually ended up having a bath mid afternoon just so he could have a play with it!
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
He loved it! He loved being able to pretend play that he was eating ice cream, he loved the foam - he struggled with the lever so we had to do it for him.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Potentially not, because the lever at this age (20 months) he struggled with as it was too stiff for him to pull. Initially we also found that it slipped around quite a bit - that it didn't stay attached very well. In the longer term, I'll be keeping an eye on how easy it is to keep mold free - bath toys that are difficult to keep clean aren't toys that we repurchase.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes, definitely, but probably for slightly older children
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Make the lever easier to pull.

We tested the octopus and my opinion is very good. As a father I look for safety and development and I think this toy is safe for my kids and entertaining. I liked the shape of the small octopus babies and it was real fun to stick them on the side of the bath. I like the ring and the family idea when I can explain to my 4 year old that mum octopus is playing with octopals babies and looking after them.
I like the squeeze options however I am concerned with dirt inside - like other squeezy bath toys after few months water inside will leave dirt so I guess I coukd do without it
What I didnt like is the numbers on the plate - they are hardly visible in the bath and my boy was struggling to see them - make them bigger and in black

I think I would recommend this toy however its not as good for me to actively looking for it. But Tommy bath toys its good and I can purchase them in the future

What I would change? Definetely the numbers on the board and I would close those squeezing wholes .

In general good fun toy perfect for bath time

luanda111 · 03/09/2019 18:37

Thanks for this fantastic toy. We love it so much!

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? We tested Foam Cone Factory and we absolutely fell in love with it for first sight.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? I love it because it is an educational toy. Helps with fine movements. My daughter loves role play toys.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Yes definitely. This toy is durable and beautiful.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Yes, I already have recommended and will purchase as a gift for little friends.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? I would add more cones at least 5.
Charmain89 · 03/09/2019 19:15

I received the fountain rocket I was really looking forward to using it with little one.
She liked the way the water came out and had fun playing in the bath.
I would like to purchase for friends and see what else the brand makes.
Yes I have already told friends about it and how a simple toy can make her happy and look forward to bath time.
Would be good to be able to control the water release.

NickMyLipple · 03/09/2019 20:42

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tried the Octopals. Box wasn't overly exciting but it was frustration free packaging, which was refreshing. Plus, it was all recyclable. The toy itself was bright and colourful.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My daughter absolutely loved it. She could put them on and take them off the island herself, stick them and remove them from the side of the bath and squirt the water out of them. I really liked that she can do it herself without help and use her imagination a little bit. I loved the bright colours. I also think that it will be a gentle way of wetting her hair and face - she hates hair washing at the moment but the orange holey octopus can gently be put over her head to wet her hair in a fun way!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I never think to buy bath toys, but this has certainly made me think twice. I would buy this over others in the future.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes, for sure.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
It would be better if the central octopus had smaller holes so it took longer to drain. I had requests for 'more's every second or two which became tiring 😬🙈 The colour of the numbers could do with being darker, I think as they're very difficult to see, especially in the bubbles! I'm also interested to see how they hold up to mould. Her rubber ducks are mouldy despite daily cleaning!

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Foam cone factory. First impression was that it looked fun and good quality

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? My little girl loved making her own ice cream and made bath times fun
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Yes definitely
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Yes absolutely
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? Lever was a little stiff but overall I’m really pleased with it
TenaciousV3 · 03/09/2019 21:02

-We tested the Foam Cone Factory, and initial impressions were that of excitement as it looked like an excellent quality toy and, from the packaging, to offer great entertainment.

  • I was disappointed that the suckers struggled to adhere to the tiles next to the bath, therefore everytime my 2 year old tried to use the pull down handle, tge whole toy slid down the wall. This made him increasingly frustrated. He's a very physically able 2 year old, yet he struggled to pull the handle all the way down, so I think the suggested 18month+ demographic is slightly misleading. I managed to produce some fairly decent looking foam 'ice-Creams' and we enjoyed pretending to eat them. However that fun was rather overshadowed by the fact that my back really ached from having to lean over the bath so much, in order to actually create the 'ice creams', and I wasn't happy about all the bubble bath I was wasting.
  • I'm afraid, as much as I eagerly anticipated using this toy, and in spite of how good it looked, the execution of the actual function was not really fit for purpose so I would never purchase it.
  • I'd like to be able to recommend Toomies Bath Toys to friends & fam, but based on this experience, I couldn't, in good faith, recommend them. If only I could give the others a go!
  • If you could add or change a feature I suppose I'd make the wall suckers somehow more able to stick to bathroom tiles. Though, I'd also want the pull handle to be more 'user friendly' for 2+ year old's and for the toy to come with a supply of bubble bath!

We tested the Toomies Fountain Rocket

What did you or child like or dislike?
My son loved watching the fountain of water coming out the bottom
I didn't like the fact that the fountain was the only feature it had, quite disappointing.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over any other bath toys in the future ?
No I don’t think I would as I found that my son only played with it for a little while and then started playing with something else and myself thought it was boring how it only had one feature

Would you recommend Toomie bath toys to your friends or family based on my Experiance ?
Unfortunately I would recommend this toy as i found it pretty boring for a bath toy

If you could change a feature or add a feature what would it be ?

Maybe for the star to fall out as the rocket empty the water and other figurines possibly

Jakie7700 · 03/09/2019 21:36

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the Octopals. Overall impression was very good we loved the fact that all the packaging was recyclable too.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My little boy loved that it has numbers on each one that he could line up then put all onto the toy. He also loved that they were all brightly coloured.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future

Yes I would. I would also probably buy this for a present too.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes I defiantly would.

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Don't think I would change anything little one seemed to really enjoy toy. I am very interested though in seeing if the bath toy gets mouldy like others do very quickly even with regular cleaning.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

I tested Toomies Foam Cone Factory and when I first saw it thought it looked really good and appealing.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My son absolutely loved it!!! Especially playing with all the bubbles. I liked how it kept him entertained during bath times. The only downside is my son wont get out of the bath. But that shows it’s a toy he wants to play with again and again.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes I definitely would and I am already looking to purchase one for my niece.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

I have spoken to my friends and family about this product and how good it is to keep the little ones entertained in the bath. I have only positive things to say about this product.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I think it is very well designed and would not change anything on it.

smileymiley69 · 03/09/2019 22:34

We tested the Toomies Foam Cone Factory.
Our initial impressions were really positive. The toy was bright and colourful and looked really fun. The penguin was a big hit with my little one.
My little one loves bath time, she loves the water and loves playing with bubbles so this was the perfect toy for her. We had a lot of fun with it. She enjoyed making foam cones for all of us and just having fun with the bubbles. The sprinkles jar is a nice addition.
I would definitely recommend this toy and would choose to purchase it over other bath toys.
The lever for making the foam cones is quite stiff and my little one needed help with it as she couldn't pull it on her own. We still had a lot of fun but ideally the lever would be less stiff and easier to use.

freakfire · 04/09/2019 09:35

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? Toomies Foam Cone Factory. At first, it seemed like an inventive and fun toy, and something different to the usual toys that float or swim etc.
What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? I like the idea, making ice cream cones with the foam is a cute idea and something a bit different to the norm. Pulling the lever is also a bit different and something kids could enjoy doing.
Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? No. In practice, this toy just wasn't all that good and it was difficult to actually work it as it slid down the bath when trying to use the lever, and the lever was quite difficult for my 21-month-old to pull down. It also leaked water as soon as I started putting it in, and the instructions aren't very clear. By "cap" do they mean the ice cream cap, or the cap of the bubble bath (as they're all different sizes, so that's tricky).
Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? No, I'm afraid not
If you could add or change a feature what would it be? The suction pads do keep the product attached to the wall, but aren't enough to actually hold it up when pulling the lever, so it slides down the bath. So maybe make the whole thing lighter and/or make the lever much easier to pull down, so it doesn't just slide down the bath/wall and into the water.

Youvegotafriendinme · 04/09/2019 09:37

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the octopals. It was much bigger than I expected which isn’t a negative. Nicely packaged and all recyclable and nice bright colours on the toy.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
He loved the bright colours and really enjoyed telling me all the colours and had so much fun squirting out the water.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes definitely. It’s a great size for them to pick up and grasp easily. Helps with colours and numbers and fun too. I would definitely buy this again or as a gift for someone

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes absolutely! They are always really well made and seem to last over other bath toys

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
My only concern is the water getting in the little baby octopus as I worry about mould but only time will tell if that happens.

Precious2012 · 04/09/2019 09:45

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals, very colourful and looked fun, can recycle the packaging

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
very colourful so would appeal to children, my child loved squirting the water but could sometimes block
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
yes possibly
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
make it so no blockage could occur
Clau133 · 04/09/2019 12:16

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the Tomy Toomies Fountain Rocket. Our first impressions were that the bath toy looked fun and enjoyable and we couldn’t wait to try it out.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
We liked how when you fill the rocket with water it emptied out like a fountain, it was really fun and my son loved the water pouring and splashing on him.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes I definitely would.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would, and have already recommend it to my friends to buy for their children!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I’d probably add some sort of noise to it, maybe some songs, music anything
Timeless19 · 04/09/2019 14:17

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals, first impression was that it was quite a large toy and there are a lot of pieces, 10 in total. To save water we use a toddler bath inside our bath and the toy took up almost half the bath.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
She is 13 months and still in the chewing and throwing phase, she predictably enjoyed chewing the octopus (very soft) and then throwing them out of the bath. She found the orange cup with holes in the bottom quite interesting, and couldn’t quite work out why she couldn’t drink out of it.

I personally find it a bit large and all the pieces are a little annoying. Getting the octopus to suction to the bath is a bit hit or miss and nothing adheres to the base which is a shame.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes I think I would, its bright, interesting has multiple functions and there is an educational element to it with the numbers when she gets older.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes its good quality and hopefully (fingers crossed for no mould) it will last a few years

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
It would be great if the Octopals could suction on to the lilypad, they get knocked off so easily.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? Toomies Foam Cone factory

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? probably not in all honesty, my daughter is 4 and think it was too babyish for her,
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? I would recommend the brand yes, I already have another toy from this range.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? The leaver was quite stiff and it did not stick to the wall or bath very well.
