Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals. Initial reaction from my son was very positive. He loved that there were so many pieces and had a long time examining each one before playing.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
He loved all the different and bright colours, the fact that he could squirt water at us and how the water flowed out of my mummy octopus in the middle if you turned her upside down.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Depends on how it holds up over time. I haven't figured out how to get the inside of the small octopuses to dry properly between use.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Again depends on how it hold up after a few months of use.

If you could add or change a feature what would it be
Easier to clean the insides.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? We were sent the Toomies Fountain Rocket. I initially thought ‘how cool’. It’s great quality and will be easy to clean after a bath.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? My little boy loved this, both on and out of the bath. I would sing zoom zoom zoom we’re going to the moon for him and he’s move it around in the air.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Absolutely, it’s so much fun and can also help you wash them and potentially overcome any water fears.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? I really would, it’s fun and nice and easy to keep clean after a bath.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? I wouldn’t change anything about this one.

We tested the cone factory bath toy.

My initial thoughts were that it was a great idea and looked fun to play with and something which would make bath time more fun! It looked great quality too.

My 2 really loved the way they could operate the toy themselves as very often they get frustrated when toys require extra strength to pull handles etc.

We would definitely purchase this in the future. It's perfect and looks like it will last a long time with good care and cleaning.

I have already recommended this to parents with children of a similar age. Mine love ice-cream and making their own was very fun!

The only slightly negative was that it slipped down a bit when playing but that may well be to do with my tiles and not the product so don't let it put you off!

My little one loves bathing and he’s a fan rockets 🚀 this toy was perfect for him, was very hard to take him out of the bath when finished.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes why not, my little one enjoys this bath toy a lot .
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes of course without any doubt.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test and what was your initial impression of the toy?
The octopals. I thought it looked like a fun, colourful toy and also appreciated the absence of plastic packaging.
What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
He enjoyed feeling the water raining from the mum octopus. He also enjoyed squirting the water.
Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Possibly. My son does have fun with it, and even my older son (8) played with them too.
Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
The problem with squirting toys is the short length of time you can have them before mould becomes an issue and they have to be thrown out. So if there was a way to fix this issue that would be good.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
The fountain rocket, it looked really fun and DS couldn't wait for me to get it out of the packaging
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
I liked that it was colourful and easy to use. DS was instantly attracted to it and loved playing with it from the off. Even out of the bath. It's very interactive and we enjoyed flying it around the room. Only slight dislike was the water didn't come out exactly like in the pictures, it was a bit of a smaller fountain.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Definitely, it's a great toy and we've had loads of use out of it.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Maybe something fiddly for the kids to poke and prod.

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals Very positive Liked the packaging
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Loved the colourful design and different features

Yes
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
As with all squirty bath toys they are great fun to play with but I do worry about how long to use them as they do get mouldy after a while and it is not possible to clean them

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The octopals, we actually had this for our first dc around 6 years ago so was nice to see the small changes that have been made!

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My nearly 2yo loved it enjoyed sticking them to the side of the bath, also developed a little game where the orange bit was ‘mama’ and the squirters were ‘babies’

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Its unlikely as i fear they will go the same way as the ones i bought years ago, and end up mouldy inside

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes its a great toy but would warn that it will probably have a limited life!

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Prevent the mould issue but i don’t see how they would do that

mrsbradley11 · 13/09/2019 20:12

EllasMamaa · 15/09/2019 21:02

We were fortunate enough to have been sent the Tomy Toomies Ice Cream Cone Factory. A bath toy for children 18 months and over. It came with three cones a sprinkles shaker and the actual machine turns bubble bath into foam by pulling the handle.

Boy, did these girls have a good time playing in the bath before bedtime. Ella’s cousin Madison stayed over for the weekend and they had been going non stop for the whole day so not only was this another bit or fun for them but it also helped them to wind down for the night.

It was fairly easy to use, although I struggled with sticking the main unit to the wall. After a few strong pushes it stuck to the tiles and the girls got stuck in pulling ice creams for eachother. The machine made the foam really stiff so I had to keep reminding the girls not to eat it.

These girls even opened up an ice cream shop and were charging Kofi, Issa and I £10 per ice cream. It started off at £2 but it just so happened that I asked for sprinkles 🤦🏾‍♀️. What was I thinking eh?

Overall we all enjoyed playing with this, my only complaint is that Ella wants to make ice creams EVERYTIME she gets in the bath. Not sure when she will get tired or bored of this but let’s see how long it takes.

sunrain · 18/09/2019 20:34

I reviewed the foam cone factory previously in this thread but wanted to update.

It's now completely broken so I wouldn't recommend at all.
The handle was stiff and now has broken so doesn't work at all.
We followed instructions and has been played with nicely so must be a faulty one or poor design.

CinnamonTwist · 19/09/2019 08:32

@sunrain I think ours is on its way out too, it is quite flimsy and often seems very stiff to move, I can't see it lasting much longer before it snaps. It often pulls the unit off the wall very easily and has smacked DS in the face a couple of times when he's been trying to use it, other times the handle moves extremely easily so I'm not sure what the problem is. Based on this point I probably wouldn't buy it again, but I do like everything else about it and my DS enjoys it (when he can move the handle).

Would love to test your bath products for my kids they are water babies Smile

Caillou · 25/11/2019 13:42

i know the testing period is closed, but just wanted to add to my feedback,
our Tomy Octopals is already failing, the small octopuses already have mould inside.
I would have definitely expected the toy to last longer than 3 months.
