We had the octopals bath toy and initially I thought it looked very fun with lots of pieces. We have used it about 4 times since we received it and my daughter loves it!

what was your initial impression of the toy?
I thought it looked like a lot of fun. Very bright and looked hard wearing.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My daughter loved all of it if I'm honest but I did realise that she got a little bit frustrated as she wasn't able to fill the little toys with water as she couldn't grasp the concept of holding it under water after squeezing all the air out. Once I filled them for her she had a great time squirting them all over the bathroom Grin
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes I would depending on the price. I would be happy to pay up to £15 for it
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes I would
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I would probably add a water squirter or make the little toys easier to fill up for little ones

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

My baby loved this toy. She enjoyed squirting with the mini octopi, and loved the bright colours.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes lots of fun

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Worried about mould after so many uses.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We received the Foam Cone Factory to test!! Our eldest (3) had seen it on adverts and had asked if she could have one for her Birthday so once the box arrived and she saw what it was, she was so excited and both her and her sister wanted to go straight up for a bath (it was about 12:30pm!!)
My first impression of the toy was very positive - it was a good size and very brightly coloured. The only downside was the packaging!! An absolute nightmare to get it out of the box!! It was screwed and tied in so took a while to get out!!

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Loved the design and bright colours. It was very easy to use and both girls (youngest is 2) could use it independently! I was worried that as soon as they started pulling the handle that it would slide down the wall, but it did hold well, for a while at least - once the back got a bit wet it did start to slide when the pulled the handle, but they helped each other by holding it onto the wall. A small amount of bubble bath makes lots of foam and it kept them busy for ages! They even use it when they’re having a shower!!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes, definitely. Considering buying our niece one for her birthday as our 2 love it so much.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes, would highly recommend. It’s a great product and provides lots of fun an engagement.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Maybe some more cones - 3 is a strange number to have - an even number would be better then they can be easily shared! Also if there is any way to stop it sliding when it gets wet at the back, that would make it perfect!

Thanks for the opportunity! It is definitely a huge hit in our house!!

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
The cone factory. First impressions were good, it looks really fun.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
I love the concept but at 19 months my son could not use it at all, the arm is too hard to pull down even once for him. We used child's farm bubble bath which isn't super bubbly, took about 20 pumps to fill the cone to resemble an icecream which was a bit of a pain. My son did try and eat it a few times but that wasn't the end of the world. Ours did stick well to the tiles unlike some other testers though and it seems well made.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
No, I think it's quite big to store for each bath it it's not used all the time. I certainly wouldn't set it up for every bath.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Not based on this toy alone no. Although it seems well made and attractive just not good for a younger toddler. A 5 year old would probably enjoy this more though!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Less clunky arm if to be aimed at younger toddlers, so that they can play with it without an adult doing all the work.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Toomies foam cone factory, my first impression was that the factory is very sturdy and bright colours. Easy to stick to the bath and easy to use.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My daughter loves the ice creams it can make. She says she doesn't like the penguin design, she has suggested that she would prefer a unicorn design. I like how easy it is for my daughter's to use. I love the quality of the toy itself but the cones are very thin plastic.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes definitely. This is the best bath toy we have got, it is hours of fun.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes definitely. They're great fun and very good quality.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
My daughter would like 'real' sprinkles and a unicorn design. I would have liked the cones to be stronger as I'm worried they may break. A few different types of cones would have been nice as well. I also didn't like the packaging, very difficult to get the toys out.
LadyFuchsiaGroan · 30/08/2019 11:56
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the octopals. The box arrived extremely battered, if I had ordered it, it would have been returned. Other than that the packaging was quite plain but I liked how it was all recyclable. The toy itself was very colourful and ds couldn't wait to start playing with it.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

Ds started playing with it before his shower. In the shower he liked sticking the little ones to the tiles. He also really enjoyed it in his paddling pool. 6yo dd also played with it with him and they had great fun squirting water at each other.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes definitely

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes, and reading other testers reviews I would be tempted to get the other range of bath toys too.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Probably the packaging, I would probably have overlooked this toy in a shop based on the packaging.

hans321 · 30/08/2019 11:57
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the Toomies octopals. Initial impression was great, really engaging and colourful.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

Likes: bright colours, engaging, lots of fun at bath time now because there is something to do.
Dislikes: none so far

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I wouldn’t change anything

Missmopfromcalifornia · 30/08/2019 11:58
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The Octopals toy. Was really impressed at the fully recyclable packaging. Took seconds to get out of the box as packaging was minimal. Toy is bright and sturdy and caught my 1 year olds interest immediately.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

Really liked how sturdy and well made it appeared, great size for little hands to grasp. Was surprised at how well it did float considering the size. My child loved the central octopus which is a sprinkler rather than a squirting toy.

I’m not sure however how easy it will be to keep the squirting toys clean and dry and prevent mildew build up.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Maybe yes, my child really enjoys it and it has brought more fun to bath time.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes, it’s really tough and well made and can imagine it lasting well.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I’d be tempted to switch at least some of the squirting toys for different sprinklers or pouring toys etc so that they’re easier to clean.

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We had the Fountain Rocket, my first impression was "I wonder how this thing works?!" The kids 18 month old and 3 year old were very intrigued and couldn't wait to test it out in the bath.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
I like that it is easy to wipe clean unlike some bath toys where it is difficult this is great for keeping clean. The kids love the way the water jets out of the sides like a fountain. They also like the star in the rocket too. My 3 year old quite likes to put other toys inside it too. There is nothing we don't like about it.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes definitely as both children like it and they also like to play with it in the garden too!
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes would recommend Toomies Bath toys.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
The starfish would maybe have some glitter inside when you shake the rocket you would see glitter move
Jojomamanhehe · 30/08/2019 12:00
  • *Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?x

Octopals. Loved that the packaging was recyclable, much better than sharp plastic wires. Toy is great quality and lovely bright colours. I like that the toy offers so many levels of interaction, from the sprinkler centre and squirters through to options for sorting and catagorising, and eventually matching the babies to the correct number. It's a toy that can grow with the baby.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

I like that the toy offers so many levels of interaction, from the sprinkler centre and squirters through to options for sorting and catagorising, and eventually matching the babies to the correct number. It's a toy that can grow with the baby. Also the squirters are lovely and squishy which makes it easy for little hands to use.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes definitely. It kept my baby entertained for much longer than other bath toys.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes, I think this will be popular with lots of little ones

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I would change the design slightly so that the babies 'sit' better when placed on the floating octopus. Not so much a problem in the bath but made it a bit tricky to move/store the toy without all the parts falling everywhere.

Thank you for selecting us - my baby loves it :)

Bananacentral · 30/08/2019 12:03
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the Rocket Fountain
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Our LO loved the toy and immediately knew he had to fill it with water and hold it up to watch the fountain. However i would say it is basic and didn’t keep him occupied for the entire bath as it had no other features
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
If the cost was fairly cheap they I would definitely purchase as the quality was great and our LO loved it
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
For it to have a few more features (water squirting out the top or different options for use)
Moviefan101 · 30/08/2019 12:05

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals. I really liked it. Colourful, easily played with and tidied away. Easy for little hands to hold and play with

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My child loved knocking off the babies and putting them back in their places. The floating aspect was clearly enjoyed and all the colours
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes I liked how soft it was, the fact that it was multiple toys in one and clearly my child enjoyed it
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
yes - my child loved these and took them to bed!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
As much as the squirting is a feature I always worry about keeping the inside clean. I would prefer sealed items or a way to keep them clean easily

Testers please answer the questions below:

- Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the octopals. I was initially struck by how big it was because of the green lilly pad bit.

- What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

DD liked the little figures but she's in a fixed bath chair so the green base was difficult for her to interact with as it was at arms length because of the front bar of her seat.

- Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

No, I like the little pals but they don't work as a cohesive toy in the way that the squeaky eggs toy, that presumably this replicates as a water-based version, does. Just a standard set of squirting bath toys would do the same job.

- Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Not this one but they're well made, and the swirly / spiral octopals toy advertised on the side of our box looked interesting so I'd maybe buy that as a gift for a new parent.

- If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Wall mount mum, and make her bigger so she can be used as the storage for the babies. For us, the green base added nothing to the experience. The figures are also a good toy for in the car, as they're so light and easy to hold, so maybe market them more widely than just as a bath toy.

whereareyousleep · 30/08/2019 12:11

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
rocket looked good in the packaging

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
he liked the water as it fanned out when it came out of the bottom. I liked the fact that there was no parts that could go mouldy
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Probably not as it’s quite large and theres only a few minutes play
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes for a child under 12 months
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Another aspect to play with
yasmin0147 · 30/08/2019 12:13

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Answer: the cone factory, was impressed with the design, looked very fun for the kids to play with

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? Answer:
They liked that they could pretend they were selling ice creams Unfortunately it was very hard to pump, slipped off the wall and didn’t work after a couple of days
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Answer: I would probably get something similar but only if it was reasonably priced and not expecting it to last long.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Answer: I probably would recommend it as it’s fun but it doesn’t last very long without without problems
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
The pump needs to be easier for children to do for themselves
MrsBudd · 30/08/2019 12:24
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the fountain rocket. I liked the cardboard packaging and the colours of the toy. But I thought the actual toy looked a little on the flimsy side.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My two year old loved it, he wanted to play with it straight away. But I think once the initial novelty wore off, he was hoping it would have an additional feature or two to keep his interest.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Probably not, I think it's quite expensive for what it is. If it offered another feature then I might consider it.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would, but for a younger child. I felt my 2 year old was a bit old for it.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Maybe a button to press with water jets? Or some sort of bubble feature? :)
Mariai2013 · 30/08/2019 12:33
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
I tested the toomies octopals, I thought it looked great and it wasn’t overly complicated to open
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
my 1 year old loves this toy, it’s the first thing he plays with at bath Time, he loves putting it all together, he just figured out they stick to the wall and it keeps him entertained, I love how colourful it is and the fact that it’s educational by having numbers

- Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
i would buy this

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
im very pleased with this toy so I would definitely recommend it to a friend, it’s a great bath toy
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
my only issue with most bath toys is the mould that collects inside, it’s quite harmful and although inevitable I would probably give up the fact that it squirts water to make it last longer and make it safer and cleaner
Jaderice21 · 30/08/2019 12:36

I received the foam cone factory. my grandchild absolutely loved it. the packaging looked bright and inviting. easy instructions. made sure i used none perfumed bubble bath,as child tried to eat the bubbles. they wanted to stay in bath a lot longer. would recommend this toy. probably make handle easier for little ones to use.

Bexxii · 30/08/2019 12:37

My son absolutely loved the tomy ice cream bath toy, he plays with it all the time. I’m pleased he is enjoying it and so simple to use, which for his age is a good thing. I thought tho maybe there would of been maybe somethink else but hey ho. I would recommend and actually my friend has now brought one for her daughter.

Bouncylion · 30/08/2019 12:38
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We had the foam factory. The kids (DD 3.5yo and DS 18mo) were excited to try it as they had seen it advertised on TV. It was difficult to get out of the packaging initially but then easy to set up.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

They enjoyed getting the ice creams but found the handle too hard to pull themselves so I had to make them for them. Every time the handle was pulled the toy slid down the wall which was frustrating as well.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes probably. The idea was really exciting for the kids.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes I would

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I'd make the handle easier to pull!

WilmaJean · 30/08/2019 12:42

-Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? We tested the fountain rocket with my 22 month old. Initial impressions were that it is a simple but fun design

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? My little boy loves it. He won’t let go of it in the bath and enjoys putting the water in and watching it shoot out the bottom. I like it because it completely drains so I’m not worried about it going moulds etc!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? I’d definitely consider buying this as a present
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? Nothing!
Normallylurking87 · 30/08/2019 12:50

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the Octopals toy, and first impressions were great, really bright and colourful. I particularly liked the matching aspect. My daughter noticed it straight away and couldn't wait until it was bath time to play with it!

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My daughter loved this toy and enjoyed playing with it! I liked it too, but wonder if it would be possible to buy replacements for the numbered parts separately, as itd be a large amount to pay for something that would potentially get mouldy very quickly!

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

I think its better than most bath toys and would definitely buy from the range again. If we could get replacement squirty parts I'd definitely consider buying it.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

I would recommend this toy to friends and family.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Different shaped holes on each squirty to make it squirt differently.

BloodyWorried · 30/08/2019 12:51

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We got the ice cream toy, initially we thought it could have been packaged in a more sustainable way - but it looked bright, engaging and couldn’t wait to use it. Once in the bath we were disappointed due to usage, I’d have taken it back to the shop if we bought it, but cones and icecream bit from on top have been played with lots.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
The toy seemed broken because it was so hard to pull the handle down - certainly not something a toddler could do, and it slid down the bath and tiles regardless of what we tried.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I’m on the fence, others have given it good reviews so perhaps ours just came broken.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Unfortunately no

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Look at the lever function to ensure kids can work it, and a different suction method - Ikea have a way of tightening their bathroom suction so perhaps something like that.

Unihorn · 30/08/2019 12:55

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals, and my first impression was great. I love the bright colours and the fact that there was no annoying plastic ties keeping the parts in.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My 16 month old and 2 year old both had great fun squirting each other but the using the middle octopus head to sieve water out was their favourite. I found the squirters didn't fill up as well as similar products we've had before. Also presumably, keeping mould out of 8 separate squirters will be a nightmare!!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Possibly depending on the price. There are similar squirting and pouring toys out there, though none with as many parts/features so that's a nice plus.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I think it would make a lovely present for birthdays or Christmas for children under 2 so I would probably.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Maybe make the arm holders the same colour as the squirters so they can match colours as well as numbers. As it's aimed at quite young children, the numbers seem a bit redundant. Also try to invent something that stops mould, or include a cleaning tool!

Thanks for choosing us though, my girls have both loved it.
