Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the Toomies fountain rocket, upon opening our box I thought the rocket looked very appealing, a nice sturdy toy.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My little girl loved the star inside the window of the rocket and how the water flows out

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I probably would choose this bath toy I’ve others because my little girl loves playing with her rocket and makes a beeline for it as soon as she gets in.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I have recommended this toy to a few of my Mummy friends and it has resulted in one parent purchasing a Toomies fountain rocket

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I think I would add a little alien floating toy that is able to sit inside the rocket and can be taken out to play alongside the rocket

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The Octopals octopus toy

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

The 2yr old liked to play with the mummy cup, hiding the babies and then squirting siblings
The 4yr old did use the counting/matching in their play

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Not sure, the base makes it bulky to store and I worry the squirters are not going to be easy to clean, but it does have lots of fun game potential.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes if it proves to last awhile without going mouldy and can easily be cleaned

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I’d make the numbers on the green base stand out more (other colour perhaps) as it can be tricky to see esp under bubbles. Maybe the flip side of base could be used (match the faces ect)
And like everyone else is saying, cleaning made easy would be good (I currently use a dilute bleach to suck up/rinse the octopals to prevent mould but it’s time consuming during a bathroom clean)

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals. My initial impression was that it was bright and colourful and seemed well-made.

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Can't say there's anything that either DD or I dislike about it - it's been a huge hit! DD loves the way the water cascades out of the Mummy octopus - she fills it over and over in the bath. However, she's also spent a lot of time playing with it in the living room too - she particularly enjoys sorting the baby octopuses on the tentacles. I like how much play value it provides - DD has spent a lot of time playing with it in different ways.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes.

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I'd like the numbers on the tentacles to be a bit more obvious. My daughter is currently learning her numbers, but because they're the same colour as the base, she's not paid much attention to them.

-Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the Foam Cone Factory, our initial impression was great, my daughter couldn’t wait to try it out. It looked very enticing in the packet.

- What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

The handle on the machine was very hard to pull down, my 20 month old really struggled which took away the fun of it, she soon lost interest when she couldn’t do it herself. The suction cups on the machine were not very strong, when I pulled the handle down the machine slipped down the tiles and sometimes fell off.

- Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes I would have chosen this bath toy over others by it’s appearance and theme.

- Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes I would recommend Toomies bath toys based on our experience of this product and will probably purchase more from this range ourselves.

- If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

It would be great to maybe have a few buttons, twisty cogs etc, more interactive hands on features.

Sjl479 · 04/09/2019 21:11

I tested the foam cone factory with 2 dds 4 and 20 months. I liked that the packaging was mostly recyclable, apart from the awful plastic twisty things which I binned and which took an age to remove. Both daughters were very excited to try it and spent a happy half hour playing with it (as other posters have said though, impossible for the 20 month old to work the handle). The foam looked nothing like that in the picture but they were happy enough. On the next bath night they were keen to try it again but could not get it to produce any foam. I guess I’m doing something wrong as it’s not been mentioned in any of the previous reviews (the ones I’ve read!) but the foam seems to be very hit and miss? I would not purchase this or recommend it to anyone else, which is a shame as if it worked I think it would have been a great bath toy

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
... We recieved the Octopals & first inpressions my DD loved it and couldnt wait un till bath time and played with it in the livingroom! I thought it was a great way to have fun and learn at the same time with the numbers and colours!
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
... DD loves the mother octopus, she always plays with this first ad uses it to wash herself (she is 18m so when I say wash i mean wet with water). This toy is a big hit in and out the bath for her. I like it because it teaches her colours and numbers at the same time without realising it. Also when I take a shower and DD is in the bathroom with me she sticks them to the outside of the bath and plays away giving me 2 mins to get washed in peace!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
... Definitely, it is great for catching young ones attentions and is not battery operated that breaks like most childrens bath toys that are on the market today.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
... I would recommend this to any parents who are wanting to help develop there children while they enjoy a bath and just to play with, the mini octupu squirting out water is a great way to keep them amused and there oblivious to getting washed when normaly my DD hates it!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
... I personally would aff in more colours, there are 8 ocupti and only 4 colours, to help teach more colours I would add in more if possible.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

I definitely would. It’s a great toy.

Very colourful and fun to play with in the bath

He liked the squirting the water out of the octopalsand pouring the water out of the middle holder.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes would be great for a 6 month old or older.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes he loved it and the colours are super in the bath.

That the octopals could attach to the holder better.
kit2018 · 05/09/2019 10:49

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Octopals, first impression: a friend has similar and looked like fun

What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
Liked pouring water from the big octopus and skirting water from the little ones.
Too young for matching the numbers up.

Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
I’m not sure. The risk of getting mould inside is high as there’s no way to clean inside.

Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes

If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Easier cleaning

YouFightLikeADairyFarmer · 05/09/2019 11:07
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

The fountain rocket. It looked fun, but I was a bit disappointed to realise it was very similar to another toy we already had.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

She was interested in the novelty of it being new, and briefly excited about it being a rocket - but it didn't hold her attention long. She didn't seem interested in the star and the only other feature (the fountain) she got bored with quickly. She enjoyed the similar toy we've had for some time when she was younger - I think this kind of toy is possibly just better suited to younger children (she's 21 months).

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

No - it's not as eye catching as the similar toy we already had, which also had handles so was easier for her to use.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Not this one - definitely better for younger children but I'd probably recommend our original similar purchase over this toy.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Anything else to make it more exciting for her age group - for younger children, handles might make it easier for them to lift up.

Monkies7 · 05/09/2019 11:54

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the fountain rocket. Initial impression was that it was attractive and colourful but quite big

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

Liked that it was easy to use and fun to look at but felt that it was perhaps too simple. My DD loved it at first but then quickly got bored with it. Definitely needs additional features.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Not over other toys

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Not sure to be honest. This was too simple and lacking in features

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Maybe some bubbles/lights/sounds

NewYearDear · 05/09/2019 11:56

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the Toomies Foam Cone Factory. My three kids all loved it - aged 5, 3, 2. Fun, interactive, role-play inducing! Really good fun. Enticed them into the bath without fuss. Would also use in the shower.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
The creation of lots of bubbles was fabulous and such fun. However, my 2 and 3 year old found the lever very stiff and hard to do on their own which is a shame. I was hoping that it will loosen up over time.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes, very much so.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Definitely, good quality for sure.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Nothing I can think of. possibly make the cones bigger - and upscale the whole toy?
Anusia86 · 05/09/2019 12:18
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We have tested Toomies Fountain Rocket (suitable for 12 months+), first my thought was - there is not much you can do with that, but soon my kids showed me I was wrong, they love to play with it.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My both girls love to pleay with it and even argued at first who's turn was it. They love to pour water in it using different objects like bottles, cups, etc and watch it flow. The only thing is that if you don't put water fast enough (or big amount) there wan't be any fountain. I would add something else to it as well to keep them entertained even more.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
not sure, probably would choose something else with different ways to play with.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I would recommend Toomies Bath Toys as it is safe and solid toy.
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I would add something extra to it. My girls asked me why there is a star inside if it does nothing, there is plenty space to improve it and add something special so kids want to play with it more.
ShinyCapn · 05/09/2019 12:52

We tested the Toomies Fountain Rocket. My daughter loved it as soon as she saw it. She picked up the box and zoomed the rocket around the room. When I told her it was a bath toy she immediately ran up to the bathroom even though it was midday! When bath time finally came around she quickly figured out how to make water whoosh out of the bottom of rocket and was delighted. She was not so delighted when her big sister copied the picture on the box and tried to make the water go all around her wee sister’s head and got it in her eyes!

I would buy this type of toy again. I would definitely recommend this toy to family and friends, we found it a lot of fun.

The only feature I think my daughter would like to be added would be a way to get the starfish out of the porthole. She was a bit disappointed that it was stuck in there. She tried for quite a while to get it out!

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
I tested the foam cone factory with my 2 year old daughter, my initial thoughts were how cool and fun this product looked as my daughter absolutely loves bubbles and ice cream so combing the two for bath time fun is great.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
I really liked how simple this was to use and that a little bubble bath goes a long way, my daughter loved all the foamy bubbles it made and even wanted to play with this while not in the bath. My only dislike is that I found it didn’t stick amazingly well to our bath or tiles and did keep sliding down which made using the handle for the foam hard to press
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes I would choose to purchase this over other toys and my daughter loves using it every night in the bath
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
I have already recommend toomies bath toys to friends and family and will continue to do so
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
Maybe something to make then stick better to bathroom tiles or baths
KellyMarieTunstall2 · 05/09/2019 13:33

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the foam cone factory, and first impression was that it's colourful and fun to look at.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My DC loved it, they were very excited to make foam ice cream with the pump and loved filling the cones.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?
Yes definitely, it's great for role play and distracting from hair washing etc.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?
Yes I would certainly recommend
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?
I would simply the packaging, there was too much and it was difficult to remove.
TofuDoll · 05/09/2019 15:03

Thanks Mumsnet!!! 😁😁

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
We tested the Octopals, was intrigued when it arrived. Wasn’t sure it would be as good as it said on the box.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My daughter absolutely loved it. There are numbers to match and learn, the mummy octopus comes off and acts a shower the babies are squishies. Loved it!
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? I would definitely!
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Absolutely I would recommend this!
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? The only issue be it a minor one is storage. Maybe if you could stick the main bit on the wall and the bits on it too it would be easier or if it came with a little net to put it all in. But it’s only a little issue.

Thank you so much for letting us enjoy this to my daughter has been so over the moon 😁 xx

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy? We tested the Tommies foam cone factory

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy? We absolutely loved it! Had so much fun playing with it
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Definetly they add so much excitement to bathtime.
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Ofcourse and i already have
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? Only one thing i would change is that maybe make the handle a little easier to pull down
Bequinha213 · 05/09/2019 15:43
  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Foam Cone Factory. First impression was good, toy looks good quality and colourful perfect for a toddler.
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?
My 2 year old daughter engaged straightaway with the toy after I showed how to get the bubbles out, the first few times she tried she didn’t manage to get any because she found it hard to press down the handle but eventually she got it. My 7 year old boy also enjoyed the toy. The toy kept kids busy while having their bath. The only downside for me was that it was difficult to remove toy from box needing scissors.
  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Yes
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Yes definitely
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? Maybe add a few more toppings for the ice cream for play role.
WhyIRayLiotta · 05/09/2019 15:49

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the rocket fountain. It looked great. My DD has a lot of bath toys but nothing similar to this.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

My DD loved the look of it, so the box-opening process is always enjoyable to her! She played with it in the living room before the bath, putting smaller toys into it and flying it about. In the bath she loved pouring the water in and out, but she lost interest quickly enough. Her sister (age 7) loved when we held the rocket above her head and let the water pour around her (as she liked how it didn’t go on her face!)

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

It was a bit simple - and my 19mo lost interest in it pretty quick in the bath. She went back to her usual ducks and swimmer toys.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

It was bright and fun - my two have no particular interest in space/rockets - but I imagine with kids who do this would be a great addition. It’s also easy to clean, and no fuss so I would definitely consider other Toomie toys in future.

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

I’d maybe add some aliens/ astronauts/ stars that could be poured out of the rocket and float about. My DD liked putting her ducks in etc, but the rocket didn’t have enough to hold her interest in itself. (She is mildly obsessed with ducks though!)

nicolajoanne83 · 05/09/2019 15:53

Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?

We tested the octopals.

  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

We loved squirting each other with the babies and pouring water through the mummy octopus head. We liked counting as well.

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future?

Yes definality, I've already got the ice cream cone one in my basket on amazon ready for xmas.

  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath
Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy?

Yes

  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be?

Nothing they're great.

TaylorGirl86 · 05/09/2019 17:23

Hiya everyone!
So the Taylor Household tested theToomies Foam Cone Factory. Our initial impression was pure delight, i don't think i've ever seen such excitment on my little boys face, but i do think he thought he was getting a yummy Mr Whippy icecream Wink It looked like great fun to use and loved the idea of role playing icecream man with the bubbles in the bath as we have always extended play time in the bath. The packaging of the product was massively over the top, it took me ages to get the product out ready to use.
My son loved playing icecream man and adding "sprinkles" to each icecream he gave us. He didn't like "making the icecream" by pulling down the lever as it was really stiff, not sure if it even works as it's supposed to. I thought there would be more foam as by the time my son made the icecream and put it on the side of the bath the foam had already run out the bottom of the cone, bless him. Didn't like that there was little holes in the cone for drainage.
I wouldn't purchase this product over other baths toys, i thought it was a bit of a let down for the price it retails at. It's a great idea and we have used it a few times, but as the lever is so stiff for a little one to pull and hold a cone underneath it, i think there are much better products on the market for less than this one.
I would definately recommend a few of Toomies other bath toys as we have a few which my son and daughter love and makes bath time really enjoyable, but i won't recommend the Foam Cone Factory to them.
I would change the cones so they don't have holes at the bottom. I would make the front of the machine see through so you can see the foam coming down into the cone and perhaps add a couple of little bottles for the fake sauce - and maybe add a little musical element to press after the icecream is made, like an icecream van jingle Grin

  • Which Toomies Bath Toy did you test, and what was your initial impression of the toy?
Foam Cone Factory
  • What did you or your child like or dislike about this toy?

  • Would you choose to purchase this bath toy over other bath toys in the future? Yes
  • Would you recommend Toomies Bath Toys to your friends and family based on your experience with this toy? Yes
  • If you could add or change a feature what would it be? I would say easier to clean an better way to secure to wall
Danlsb · 05/09/2019 18:28

We tested the fountain rocket

My kids liked pouring water in and watching the water come out as well as making mini showers for their toys. They did get quite a bit of water everywhere - we also used it in the paddling pool.

Might have been nice if there was something to put in and out of the rocket.

I’m not sure I would choose this over other toys such as the ice cream factory as my older 2 found it a bit basic

Yes I would recommend it to those with younger children
