This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who tried and tested the new Nice by Nature ice lollies. Selected testers tried one of 3 flavors;

• Strawberry & Raspberry 100% Fruit Ice Lollies
• Mango & Banana 100% Fruit Ice Lollies
• Apple & Blackcurrant 100% Fruit Ice Lollies

This product test was open to all UK MNers who have at least one child. Selected testers received 1 pack of ice lollies to try out.

Please note these lollies are ONLY AVAILABLE in TESCO.

Here is what Nice By Nature have to say: “Hi there! We are Nice By Nature and we have created a new range of delicious fruit ice lollies! They are made from 100% fruit and absolutely nothing else! In fact our lollies always contain four ingredients or less – and by nature contain no added sugar and no nasties! Your kids might call them a snack or even a treat, but you can think of them as a fruit bowl in your freezer!”

We all enjoyed them my 6 year old loves lollies but won’t eat ice cream so it was nice for him to try something abit different

He said they tasted really smooth and liked the flavour

Both I think they would all enjoy them

Which flavour did you try

We had the strawberry and raspberry flavour

What did you or your family like about the lollies

I liked the lack of added sugar and fact they were packed with fruit. My daughter liked the flavour

Overall how satisfied were you and your family

I didn’t particularly like the taste of the lollies as they had quite a weak flavour , but my youngest daughter really liked them. On a hot day they were refreshing as ice cold

Would you be interested in trying other flavours

Yes, the children usually prefer Apple and Blackcurrant so I would buy these next time

Do you think younger or older children would prefer them

Definitely younger children as my older daughter said they didn’t have a strong enough taste for her

Would you recommend to other families and friends

Yes - because of the sugar free aspect

Yes, only 1 syn on slimming world so have told everyone at group about them!

We will definitely be trying the other flavours over the summer

Refreshing treat as low calorie great snack children enjoyed them - very satisfied

• What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

Sweet tasting as expected just right size

• Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

My children are in both categories and both enjoyed them I would opt to give them to the younger child as the older ones normally pick a different type of iced treat

Yes

We tried the strawberry and raspberry ones.

What did you or your family like about the lollies

Lack of added sugar. Natural flavour.

Overall how satisfied were you and your family

Would like to buy these again. They were thirst quenching and I felt relaxed about them having these as they seemed like a good treat but less artificial than other lollies.

Would you be interested in trying other flavours

Yes

Do you think younger or older children would prefer them

I would recommend to younger age group. 3 year old loved them, 6 year old a bit more choosy.

Would recommend to others to purchase. Nice and refreshing.

Apologies for the late feedback. Our car has been unexpectedly out of action so I haven't been able to get to the big Tesco before today, and our local Tesco Metro didn't stock the lollies.

Yes! I couldn't decide which sounded nicest, so I let the children choose this time. I will definitely be buying more to try the other flavours, but a box containing two of each of the three flavours would have been perfect...

Very satisfied, they're really nice!

• What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I am currently calorie counting, so I appreciated that they were only 22 calories! They had a nice flavour and texture. The children love any kind of ice lolly, so it was nice to give them a treat without worrying about the added sugar content.

• Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

My children are 4 and 5, and both of them loved them, so I would say younger children, but I don't see why they wouldn't like them a few years from now too...

• Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies? I really liked them. Refreshing without being to sweet

• What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies? Shes only one so cant really say what she likes but she ate a whole one and said yum

• Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? I think it will appeal to both. There sweet but not full of sugar

• Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? Yes definitely

I havent really noticed these before but after trying them I am very impressed. You can tell they are made with real fruit and taste a bit like a slush which is really nice. The texture is different to a 'normal' ice lolly aswell. Would recommend and great that they are good for you
