Strawberry & raspberry

Probably not
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
They were only ok, I wouldnt go out & buy
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I didn't like the texture & wasnt overly keen on the flavour. My 2 year old ate some of it but didn't finish which is unusual for him
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Probably younger, not sure the packaging or taste would appeal so much to older children
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Probably not, sorry

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple and blackcurrant
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Based on how well these went down, no.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Bit of a mixed bag, myself, my partner and our eldest son(5) did not really like them. The texture was not very nice, and rather than taste fruity, we found the taste quite bland. They were a bit of a disappointment and £3 for six is quite expensive. Our youngest son(1) however did quite enjoy them, they were good for him on a hot day when he was teething.

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
Disliked the texture and bland flavour. Like they are good for a teething toddler.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think perhaps toddlers would like these better, our youngest really liked them when he was teething. He has never had any other ice lollies so for him they were a nice treat.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
No while my youngest liked them, the rest of the family did not and I would not pay £3 for them. For a teething toddler, you can make your own ice lollies for them.
nanbread · 28/07/2019 19:54

Ooh I've just noticed they're on offer for £2 a pack at the moment. Time to stock up!

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Apple and blackcurrant

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes definitely - my daughter loved this flavour

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

We were really happy with them generally. My youngest daughter who has a very sweet tooth absolutely loved the lollies so I was pleased about that. my oldest didn't like the texture - she's 11.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My youngest loved the flavour and the taste. My oldest daughter didn't like them though as she didn't like the flavour.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I'm not sure - I was expecting my youngest to dislike them in case they weren't sweet enough but in the end she liked them more than my oldest.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Most definitely - yes I would and I will be buying them again.

lottietiger · 29/07/2019 11:59

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Raspberry and strawberry as they were the only flavour our local Tesco's had

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes definately, the mango ones sound great
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Really satisfied, they tased more like a smoothie than a sugary ice lolly, lots of fruity taste and a pulpy texture
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
We both liked the fruity taste and that they didnt seem to melt as quick as normal ice lollies. That they were healthier and low calorie really appealed too.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
my son is 6 and loved them as did i so will say all age groups. Maybe a little expensive for an everyday holiday treat
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes definately
malaguena · 29/07/2019 13:07
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
I tested the Strawberry and raspberry ones as these were the only ones available in the shop.
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes definitely! They all sound delicious, it's a nice selection of flavours.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
I liked the taste but it was a little bit bland. I also thought the banana overpowered the other fruits, so we couldn't taste the berries that much. However, my children all loved them, and they were very refreshing. They are a perfect size for children. Overall, the children were very satisfied, which is the main thing.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
My children loved them, loved the taste and they all got eaten very quick. I was quite happy with the sizes as they were not too big so they didn't have time to melt everywhere, and they were easy for the children to hold (even for my 2yo).
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they appeal to both groups. The choice of flavours are all fruits that appeal to children, they taste pretty much like juice or homemade smoothie, and they are very refreshing.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? Yes I would recommend them for children, I love the idea of them being made of fruits with no added sugar nor additives. I wished they had a bit more flavour thought.
Natah · 29/07/2019 14:06
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and raspberry
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Absolutely!
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very satisfied
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
He loved the taste and I loved that they were natural ingredients and didn't melt too quickly in the heat (and it was HOT!)
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Everyone really, but they're perfect for age 3-6 because they're good for you, easy to hold and don't melt too quickly
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Definitely, I thought they were fab!
MrsAlwaysRight · 29/07/2019 16:03

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

We tested the Raspberry and Strawberry as the Apple and Blackcurrant ones we were allocated were unavailable.

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

The other flavours sound nice but due to the children not being very keen on this flavour we probably wouldn't try them.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

The children were disappointed with them. The consensus of the five children that tried them was that they were lacking in flavour.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I liked the idea of these being a healthier alternative to other lollies.

The children described them as "bland" and "flavourless".

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Probably younger children due to the small size and that they don't have a strong flavour.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Unfortunately not unless the recipe was changed to increase the flavour.

DrDiva · 29/07/2019 18:51

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and raspberry- the others had sold out (or been sniffled by other MN testers!)

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, both
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very! My 7yo DS loved them - he is dairy allergic, so very excited that he can have these,
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
Loved that they were like a frozen smoothie Nothing he disliked
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Both equally. They are iced lollies, after all!
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes.

- Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry and raspberry. I had to go to two different branches of Tesco's to find any lollies. One had none in stock at all, the other only had this one flavour. I'd originally wanted to try strawberry and banana.

- Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Possibly strawberry and banana but not the mango one.

- Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

They were alright. Struggling to get hold of them put me off, and my older DC(9) and DH felt they were too tart and you could taste the individual flavours that made up the lolly, like there wasn't enough blending of the flavour. I wanted to test them to find a lolly that both my baby (1) and 9 yr old would like. The baby loved hers.

- What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

The sharp flavour. Despite being strawberry / raspberry flavour, was actually 60% apple, which we felt you could taste and smell. I was also put off by the "healthy" / "outdoorsy" branding when they're made by Unilever. You sell soap powder - I wouldn't associate the brand with any sort of eco theme and it jarred a bit.

- Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

From our family, e younger age group. My older child would eat one again if given one but wouldn't choose them. They weren't sweet enough for him.

- Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Maybe if someone was looking for a non-dairy lolly for a toddler, so they couldn't choose mini milks etc. but not otherwise. They weren't anything remarkable.

Thank you for letting us test them though.

misskatamari · 29/07/2019 19:13
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
We tested the raspberry and strawberry but also bought some mango and banana as dh loves those flavours so wanted to give them a go
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

We weren't overly keen on them so probably not

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Alas not very. I was really looking forward to trying these but we didn't really like them. The raspberry and strawberry were better than the mango and banana. Dd wouldn't eat the mango one and she declared it not very nice, despite those being his favourite flavours. They weren't very sweet, which didn't bother us, but we weren't very keen on the texture. They are like frozen smoothies and they were very thick

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

They didn't love the taste and were less happy with the texture. I like that they're a "healthy" low sugar option, but alas I don't think we would buy again

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? I think younger, as they are maybe more used to eating the puréed fruit smoothie type thing
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? I'm afraid I wouldn't. Maybe if someone had a toddler and they wanted to give them a try with a cool lolly, but for anyone with older kids who are used to normal lollies I wouldn't recommend
1969angep · 29/07/2019 19:38
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test? With our voucher we purchased the strawberry and raspberry flavour
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours? Ive already bought both other flavours (they were on offer at £2 per pack when I went shopping on Sunday!)
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies? Very satisfied.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies? We liked the taste - Lucas even liked Mango & Banana and he doesn't like bananas lol. We liked that they were really fruity but had more "texture" than your average fruity lolly. They were more filling than I expected, which was surprising since they are so low in calories
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? Probably 7-12 - I suspect younger kids might prefer a more creamy/sweet texture
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? Yes. We'd slipped into the habit of ice cream for pudding and had swapped this for frozen yoghurt. However Nice by Nature still gives the feeling of a treat without the sugar/fat/calories. Win win!
Larnipoo · 29/07/2019 20:42

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Raspberry and strawberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes all sound nice

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very satisfied

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My kids love fruit so they loved the taste. They loved that the look just like normal ice lollies (ie ones full of sugar) they looked forward to having them.

I liked that they are healthy - 100% fruit so the kind of thing id like to make myself but just don't have the time

I liked the packaging

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I can only talk about the Raspberry and strawberry flavour I would say they are a grown up taste (quite tart)

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely.

Woolybob · 29/07/2019 21:00

Strawberry and Raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes mango and banana probably
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
The kids liked them, I though they lacked a bit of flavour
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I liked the fact they had no added sugar but this probably made them less tasty to me!
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Younger as they are not that large
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes to those with kids
buize · 29/07/2019 23:38

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Mango and Banana

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Quite satisfied

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

Liked the fact it was all natural. Flavour was very subtle and may not be to everyone’s taste. My child thought it was like a solid smoothie. Quite refreshing also.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Yes, but probably only if they hadn’t become used to sugary things as they may find this flavour a little bland.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Yes. They are a little pricey though.

BigBugs · 30/07/2019 12:18

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

We tested the Apple and black currant flavour lollies.

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes we would definitely be interested in trying the other flavours as DD wasn’t keen on the flavour we tried.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

I thought they were nice and refreshing, almost like a smoothie texture. However both DC weren’t keen on either the taste or texture of the lollies. This could have been because there were other lollies in the freezer that were full of sugar!

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I liked the texture and taste and that they are sugar free. They were very fruity in taste and lasted a long time. DC didn’t like the texture and both said they were very ‘thick’.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Definitely the younger age group that are not over exposed to sugar and would see them as a treat or the current trend of sugar free adults! Who would definitely buy these as a treat.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

I would like to try the other flavours before recommending to friends and family however it is so good to have more sugar free options in the supermarket.

Nicole786 · 30/07/2019 13:08

We loved that it is all Natural, very healthy, tasty, perfect for these hot summer days.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
it would appeal to any age groups even Adults, because it contains No Sugar!
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes i would highly recommend these delicious lollies to all children and adults Thank You
Cosmia · 30/07/2019 13:40

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Raspberry and strawberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes, all sound tasty

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very satisfied

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

We all liked the delicious taste - loads of flavour and no artificial tang.

I really like that they are made from 100% fruit, much nicer than a water/sugar/flavouring and colouring mixture.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Once purchased, I'm sure that all would like them but for the older kids tend to have more pester purchase power so might lean towards the more chocolatey types of lollies.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely, already have!

BellaVida · 30/07/2019 17:29
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
We chose Apple & Blackcurrant. The children love mango, but were a bit put off by the banana mix. Raspberry & Stawberry were not available.
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, either really, but the children would be more inclined towards the Raspberry & Strawberry. It’s a real shame they do not do a mixed box!
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very satisfied, in terms of packaging, presentation, flavour and texture. As a parent, the fact that they are 100% fruit and so low in calories was obvious from the branding/ messaging and will definitely attract those who want to give their child a healthy treat.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
3 of my children tried them and liked them. The older two felt the taste was a bit too subtle, however my youngest (9) said it was lovely and fruity- she said it was very similar it to a Pip organic lolly she had on a school trip.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they will appeal to both age groups. Subtle enough flavour not to be overpowering for the younger ones, but all of my children felt they could do with maybe being slightly larger for older ones.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes, as a healthy, low- calorie alternative, however I think the price point might be an issue for some, when cheap fruit lollies are so readily available. I would also strongly recommend making a mixed flavours box.

Thank you.

Osquito · 30/07/2019 17:35

We chose the Strawberry Raspberry lollies, but would be interested in mango IF there is no banana in it.
DS and I were personally disappointed, but only because I hadn’t realised there was banana in the lollies, and we both detest the taste of it. I understand that’s how it gets such a creamy texture, but we just couldn’t get past the taste of banana! DSD thought they were alright, but said she still prefers a chocolate ice cream over a fruit one.
We liked the packaging, how the ice lolly looked, the idea... just not the banana flavour! That was literally the only thing we disliked.
I think whilst it is a great product for the whole family, really, it would probably be bought more for young children.
I have recommended them to friends who do not share our aversion to the banana flavour Grin

Beancounterz · 30/07/2019 20:57

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Not really
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
A bit small , not really our thing
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
A bit small, the flavour was quite weak, my children are teenagers, I think they are much more suitable for smaller children.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Definitely younger children
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
If they had small children yes I would

We did enjoy trying these out, though not really our thing, thank you mumsnet for letting us do this

Newbles85 · 30/07/2019 21:43

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry & raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Not particularly, they weren't enough of a hit for me to try different flavours.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

They were ok, my 3 year old tried one and said he liked it but hasn't asked for another which is a bit damning. I can't stand bananas (even the tiniest amount) so they're not something I would buy for myself!

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My 3 year old liked the flavour but I don't think he enjoyed the texture of the fruit.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

In my house, probably older due to the texture.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

I would mention them if I knew someone looking for a 100% fruit lolly, but I won't be shouting from the rooftops.

Cd89 · 30/07/2019 22:22
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
We tested the Apple and Blackcurrant flavour
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, definitely
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
A big 10/10
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
They liked the sweetness, and I liked the fact the sweetness was natural. The children love fruit so the were a great way of cooling down without going for the usual sugary iced treats.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
The younger age bracket is more influenceable whereas I have found older children are more determined to choose their own and are likely to choose a higher calorie treat.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes I would, and already have.
Sleepybumble · 30/07/2019 22:29
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Mango and banana
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Definitely
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very satisfied
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I loved that they have no added sugar, and are 100% fruit, which makes it a great choice for an occasional treat. They seemed less drippy than regular lollies too. DD said they tasted delicious and was keen to have another when offered a few days later.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
My DD is 4and she loved them. As she is only little she is yet to be influenced by branding etc so maybe it would be more appealing to her now as she hasn't had her head turned by bringhr packaging and characters.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? definitely and I already have!

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and Raspberry
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Apple and Blackcurrant not Mango and Banana as my children don't like mango
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
My children loved them, I thought they were tasty but my husband thought they were bland.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
My children loved them, the shape pleased my space mad son
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
They aren't very sweet so it depends on their tastebuds. Also whether or not they like smoothies
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family
Yes I would recommend Nice by Nature to friends. The low calorie per ice lolly may well appeal to adults who are following calorie controlled diets
