hich flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Apple and black currant

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
I would try them but my ds5 didn't like the lollies so probably wouldn't
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
I really like the concept as think children eat far too much sugar, so the idea of a fruit lolly which is better for them Is great, however we didn't really get on with the lollies at all. Not sure if I had a dud pack as I know my local Tesco has issues with their freezers but my son and myself found them pretty tasteless and grainy
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I liked the shape and thought colouring was accurate and appealing. The texture however was very icy/grainy and the lollies lacked flavour
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Younger audience definitely, good size for young children and appealing enough
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
I would for them to try yes, they just aren't for my family

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Apple and Blackcurrent

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes I thought they looked liked good flavour combinations. A Multipack would be ideal.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

We all enjoyed them, they were lovely to have in this warm weather.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

The taste was very good and fruity, the packaging was appealing to both us and my two children. The only negative really is that we all struggled with the amount that was there. I think if they were half the size and more lollies in the box they would be more appealing to the consumer.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I think both would enjoy them, but I would say younger as I feel older children tend to be influenced by branding a little more.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Yes, absolutely

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple and blackcurrent

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Not to pay for it as didn’t enjoy the favour we picked
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Not really, our 8 month old is teething so we pulled one out to soothe him a little ( after other methods failed ) he hated it so me and husband tried it ... they tasted more like a vegetable lolly
I didn’t expect overly sweet as low In Sugar but I couldn’t taste the fruit aspect.

I make apple and berry purées with no extras to sweeten yogurt and that doesn’t taste like that.

The other flavours may be nicer but unlikely to purchase again

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

Couldn’t ask but his expression and the fact he pushed it away was enough

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Not sure potentially younger 3-6 year olds? As they will be less aware of other options
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
No

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Mango and banana

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Maybe...I might have been unlucky with this flavour...
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
DD1 (10) wasn't impressed and said the texture was like baby purée. DD2 (4) was more of a fan. Overall, the packaging was very soggy by the time I got it home so I missed any activities on the box as I just wanted to get rid. The lollies themselves were covered in ice on one side so not sure if there was an issue with the freezer in Tesco. They did not look very appetising in colour either, dirty dull yellow.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
Taste overall was nice enough but DD1 has issues with texture as they 'weren't juicy enough'...she ate half and then gave the other half to DD2. DD2 enjoyed them but they were messier than usual ice lollies as the consistency was thicker and stickier.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
As above, probably younger. Nice size for a quick treat in hot weather.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Probably not, though I think I was put off by the soggy box and iced up lollies.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and Rasberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Possibly but only to see if there is any improvement in either taste or texture.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
It wasgreat to test out in the hot weather However was genuinely surprised that the flavour tasted like apple, apple puree, apple cider vinegar.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
Texture was quite thick and pulpy. Flavour wasn't that pleasant. The size and shape were good. The boxes in tesco were all covered in ice or wet patches I couldn't find a pack that the box looked ok and they were new in store. Not impressed by this.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Younger possibly size and shape but flavour wise an older child probably isn't going to like the thick pulp texture or flavours.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?I would say give them a go if looking for a more natural alternative as long as their child doesn't have issues with may contain peanuts etc
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Not that satisfied as feel the taste didn't represent the flavour and found the texture quite pulpy. I also don't know why all the boxes were covered in ice + wet patches. Either the product had defrosted then been put into the freezers. Maybe the packaging needs re looking at to survive freezer? conditions a bit better. Mixed feedback from family one struggled to eat all of the lolly because didn't like the Appley taste and others thought were OK didn't love them but got eaten. Prehaps different flavour maybe taste better.

Whoops, posted the other day with the wrong username - reposting with my correct username here:

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

I was selected to try strawberry & raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes, there were 3 different flavours in my local tesco. A multipack of mixed flavours would be a good idea.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very satisfied.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

All 3 of my kids liked them and would choose them again. My 10 year old particular enjoyed them & chose them above the other lollys in the freezer. I also tried one and found it quiet delicious.

I liked that it was clearly stated that these were suitable for vegetarians.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Either, my 4 year old enjoyed them as did my 10 year old. I think they are good for us grown ups too.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Possible, but at £3 for 6 I found them a little expensive especially due to small size, I'd stock up on offer.

Thanks for letting us test these, perfect for treat for this heatwave

- Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
We bought strawberry and raspberry as they were the only ones I could find.

- Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
I’d try them all for my children if I could afford them.

- Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
My sister and I found them lacking in flavour but my children loved them. They’ll be pestering me to buy them in future I’m sure.

- What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I liked that they’re 100% fruit - and more importantly no sweeteners (I’d rather a bit of sugar than any amount of sweetener). My children liked the look and taste of them.

- Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they’ll appeal to both.

- Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
I’d recommend them for family and friends’ children but I’ll not bother buying any for myself.

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
We were supposed to try apple and blackcurrant but there was only the other two flavours available, my daughter (9) chose to try the mango and banana instead.
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
I personally think the berry flavours sound more appealing as I dont like banana smoothie, so yes.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very, they were a nice after dinner treat.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I liked the fact that it was a frozen smoothie but i didn't like the taste (personal preference). We liked the shape.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Younger - I think older children are aware of more decedent ice lollies so they appeal more to them.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Not sure, they are pricey.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Raspberry and strawberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very satisfied

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My kids love fruit so they loved the taste, and they loved the fresh feel on a hot day.

I liked that they made of fruit so are healthy. I love to get my kids ice lollies but was so shocked at the amount of sugar others contain.

I liked the packaging

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

My youngest 14 months and my eldest 16 years liked them just as much. So for all ages I’d think. A healthy alternative to a pudding.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Raspberry and strawberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes - my children would have enjoyed them all

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I didn't make a fuss about these being healthy, I wanted to see if my children liked them before they knew that were healthy! They loved them and asked for more!

I love the fact they are healthy - mine have far too many sugary treats!

The packaging is catchy

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Has to be younger as my older ones know the brands that they like and are much harder to encourage to eat healthy snacks

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Absolutely! Will be getting these when they are on offer and I would recommend to friends and family

CusheyButterfield · 28/07/2019 09:31
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Raspberry and Strawberry
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours? Yes - they all looked nice!
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very - my daughter loved them.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
She said they were like a smoothie on a stick - this was a big positive as she loves a frozen smoothie. She also liked that they were healthy and had real fruit in as she's been learning about 5 a day at school recently.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they would appeal to both, but the packaging etc seems aimed at parents with younger children.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? Absolutely!
MESSING2 · 28/07/2019 11:58
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple & Blackcurrant.
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, mango & banana or raspberry/strawberry.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
I thought they were fine as a healthy treat. Not delicious, rather tart but I would certainly grab one on a hot day. DC aged 9 and 7 were less impressed.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies? I liked that they aren't too sweet, and are healthy. DC are used to mini magnums, Calypos etc and have sweet tooths - they didn't get on with these at all and couldn't finish them.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? I think younger ones who haven't been spoiled with 'regular' lollies would like these, and older (maybe 8+) ones who understand the health benefits would also go for them. The packaging and size is more suitable for little ones.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family? No, sorry. There are tastier healthy options. Having said that, I may give one of the other flavours a go - maybe it's just this flavour we didn't get on with.
Princesspickle777 · 28/07/2019 12:30

-Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

We were selected to try the Apple & Blackcurrant flavour.

Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes, we would definitely try the Strawberry & Raspberry flavour, this appeals to us more out of the three flavours. We’d probably give the Mango & Banana flavour a try also. The Apple & Blackcurrant flavour wouldn’t be a usual selection for us.

Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Quite satisfied, the size I found perfect for my DD. Small enough for her to hold herself and they have an appealing look to them.

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice by Nature ice lollies?

I’m very pleased with the fact that they are made with real fruit purée. It’s great to have a healthier alternative especially in the hot weather we’ve recently had. I didn’t feel guilty when my DD wanted to have a 2nd one in one day. Taste wise I really enjoyed them however I feel the taste may be more preferable to older children and adults. My DD (19 months) did seem to enjoy hers but didn’t manage to finish them off, I’m maybe thinking this was due to the thick texture of the lollies.

Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) Children? Why?

I feel that these lollies would appeal and be preferred by an older age range. This is mainly due to the texture of the lollies. Being made from fruit purée makes them quite thick and possibly harder for younger children to finish.

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

No, I probably wouldn’t recommend them because I don’t feel they are the target audience for them but if it’s something they were looking for then yes I would probably mention them. I feel that maybe the price for what you receive is a little expensive to recommend to people I know as they wouldn’t spend that much on lollies.

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and Raspberry.
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
All of my children liked them and said they would have them again.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
The children liked the taste! I liked the fact that they seem healthier than a lot of similar products and was therefore happier with the children having them.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
All of my children (2-7) enjoyed them, I would imagine they possibly appeal a little more to younger children but older children would be happy to eat them.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Mango and banana

Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Absolutely, they went down very well here. My older DC (6) said they weren't very "juicy" so I wondered if he might prefer a different flavour like the one with blackcurrant

Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very - a great size, we all really enjoyed the taste and the fact they are low calorie means they are totally guilt free.

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My three year old said "they're not good, they're great!" and as he's quite a slow eater he also added "look it's not dripping!" which has been a real problem with lollies in this hot weather (and quite often ends in a tantrum when the last bit falls off the stick - not an issue with these).

My 6 yo said he thought the lolly makers were the best as they'd managed to make a fruit lolly that actually tasted really nice, ha. There's a local person who makes them from healthy fruit and veg but they're too worthy and my DC won't eat them.

The only thing is that they do seem quite pricey for the size compared to "normal" ice lollies and I can see us getting through them quickly! But I'm happy to pay a bit more for the healthier choice. I'd probably look out for when they are on offer to try the other flavours.

Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I'd say 3-6, I think an older child is possibly more aware of other options and brands, and younger children have a lower recommended sugar intake, but I'd still give to an older child.

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely - in fact I already have.

Apple and blackcurrant
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the flavour and so did my children. They were a much healthier alternative to most lollies too.

It's great that they were slow melting- bonus in the heatwave!
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I would think that any age would enjoy them. I'm not the biggest ice cream fan but I really enjoyed these. The packaging is simple but bright enough to appeal to most ages.

Yes, we have bought more and given out.

Thanks for letting me try them!
