  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, definitely
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very - they're delicious!
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
The fruity flavour was really delicious and yet not too sweet nor fake tasting like some can be. They didn't feel too processed.

I'm struggling to find a dislike - not enough for me to get a look-in other to finish off one for the toddler?

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
3-6 more because of the packaging. My 7 year old twigged that they're marketed as being a healthier option so used it as leverage...
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes, absolutely. They were very refreshing during the hot weather and I felt confident I wasn't feeding the kids rubbish. A lovely product!

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

I could only get the strawberry and raspberry.

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

The ones we tried didn't really taste anything so I don't think we would bother with the others.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

I wouldn't really say we were satisfied as they didn't taste 'juicy' so was a bit of a disappointment.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I liked that they were all natural. My son wasn't fussed.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Both age groups.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Unfortunately not. They really lacked taste.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test? Strawberry and raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours? Yes, they all sound great. A mixed variety box would be perfect.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies? My child enjoyed it. I liked them, and great for such low calories but missed the creamy texture of ice cream. It’s super healthy so would still chose it over other options.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies? My child loves all fruit so enjoyed the fruity flavour. I’m not sure he noticed much different from our usual ice lolly.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? Mine are both in the younger age category and enjoyed them.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes, we enjoyed them and would mention that to family and friends.

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Apple and blackcurrant

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Strawberry

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Quite satisfied.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My children loved them - very deep colours which made them think they were getting a real treat.

I didn't like the flavour though - really unfortunate! I thought it tasted a bit cardboard-y. This wouldn't stop me buying them for the kids though - low in sugar, natural etc.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Definitely younger children like mine who don't seem to have a very sophisticated palate!

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Yes to my friends with young kids. The kids line them and I won't be tempted to eat them myself when the kids are in bed!

Byrdie · 02/08/2019 17:17

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

We took what we could find - raspberry and strawberry. They were hard to find in our Tesco

Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes - esp the mango and banana one which wpuld go down well in our house

Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

They all liked them but I think the eldest was a bit put off by the 100% fruit. ‘Not proper ice lollies’

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

Apart from sounding healthy, nothing put them off. They liked them and would definately have them again if offered

Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I think both age groups would have some children that did like them and some that don’t! Depends on the child. For us, my 5, 9 and 11 year old liked them, but my 11 year old was a bit suspicious of it being too healthy to be billed as an ice lolly!!

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family

Yes, i think so. Definately like the idea that they are all fruit.

HettiSpagetti · 02/08/2019 17:56

He liked the Rocket shape.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Probably younger as they were a nice size and fun shape.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Yes, definitely

The Apple and Blackcurrant(?) *
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies? *
Very. Bit in the small size but that’s good for little ones and I will buy the smaller lollies/choc I’ve types anyway sometimes *
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?*
That it’s all fruit, bit sharp at first but got used to it. *
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?*
Probably younger due to size and the fact that older kids have more of an awareness or choice but my DS is very aware of healthy eating so he’d go for them. *

Yes.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Apple and blackberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

I loved them. Thought they were really tasty and a perfect treat in the hot weather. My daughter didn't, but it might just have been this flavour.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

She said the packaging looked like it was for babies. She didn't like the taste.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Younger children. I think some older children want the more fun lollies and something less plain - unfortunately! Had these been around when my daughter was younger I would definitely have purchased them.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Yes - and I will be finishing off the pack!

EmberRainbow · 02/08/2019 19:36
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry and raspberry- the only ones our local Tesco stocked.

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Before trying them yes, but as our family didn’t enjoy them I probably wouldn’t buy again.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Pretty unsatisfied to be honest, really wanted to like them but no one here enjoyed them sadly.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

Disliked the taste and texture, they didn’t really melt and were fibrous with a sour yet bland taste. My children didn’t even want to finish one let alone have another.

Liked the idea of a 100% fruit lolly with no added sugar and interesting flavours but the idea didn’t match the reality.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I guess younger as parents may buy them as a healthy alternative?

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Sadly not as we didn’t enjoy them at all.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 02/08/2019 20:46
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple and blackcurrant
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes. Mango and banana sounds delicious
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very. I like that they’re much healthier than regular ice lollies.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
Liked the lollies. Probably not their first choice of flavour, but it’s what we were selected to test. I think they would enjoy the other flavours more. They liked the fruity flavour.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Appealed to both equally in my house. I think the packaging is less inviting than other ice lollies.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes.
Itsalwayssunny · 02/08/2019 20:55

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Raspberry and strawberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

No, I am not keen on the sound of the other flavours.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very satisfied

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My toddler love fruit so they loved the taste. I liked the fact they looked like Normal ice lollies but were much healthier.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I'd say probably younger as they won't have as much say on what parents buy (in my house anyway!) I think older children would definitely enjoy as well though.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely. I'll be buying these again when they're on offer

cornflakegirl · 02/08/2019 21:09

We tested the apple and blackcurrant lollies, and we weren't fans. DS2 (the picky one) didn't want his. DH and I thought they were okay, and DS1 liked them. The flavour was a bit off - reminiscent of cherry. And the mouthfeel was also strange. We make "ice cream" from frozen banana and like that so I'm not sure why we didn't like these.
Thanks for the trial. The concept is good, and glad others enjoyed them.

scarrick87 · 02/08/2019 21:31

I tried the apple and blackcurrant

Yes I would be interested in trying the other flavours

I am satisfied with them although you can tell they are better for you as they feel more smoothie like and definately not artificial. I do think they are a little expensive and would probably buy other brands over them

I think they could appeal to anyone and I would recommend them

GetKnitted · 02/08/2019 22:09
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
mango and banana
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, I'd be interested in trying the strawberry and raspberry very much.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
We really enjoyed them. The DC were really happy with the coolness and weren't bothered by the texture. I had one too and the taste was really pleasant, not over sweet, but sweet enough that you knew you were enjoying yourself!! You could smell the mango, but there were no fibrous strings. There is NO WAY you could get mango blended smoothly like that in the blender or even food processor. These were nice fresh, healthy and without all the faff of making your own.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
My DC (particularly DC2 aged 7) really liked the shape and the taste. DC1 aged 11 was slightly less bowled over, but that didn't stop him from slurping down the whole thing.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I think they might appeal slightly more to younger children, simply because of the fact that they have less of a taste for sugar, because a lot of parents are quite conscious of not overloading little kids with sugar, but less concerned about their older children. Also the packaging is definitely aimed toward younger children. They take their clues from the marketing at this age and something classier looking would be more likely to appeal to them.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes, without a doubt. I will be humble-bragging to my sister about it.
HarryK · 03/08/2019 12:21

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Mango and Banana

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies? They weren’t actually very tasty, kids didn't like them.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I liked the fact that they are pure fruit but kids didn't like them as they were bland.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they would appeal more to younger (3-6) years old as they like subtle flavours.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes, as they are healthy.
Aubasaurus · 03/08/2019 13:52
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
We were asked to test blackcurrant & apple
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes, I'm planning to get some strawberry & raspberry
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
My DDs both liked them. My niece (6) wasn't so keen.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
DD1 (7) said it was "sharp but nice". DD2 (4) said it was "yummy". DNiece didn't like it but is a lot less of a fruit monster than the other two.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Both I think. It depends on the child (and parents!)
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes but I might warn them they might not be as sweet as most brands.
QueenieMum · 03/08/2019 20:06

*- Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry & raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Only the apple & blackcurrant
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Satisfied - not massively exciting but tasted nice and were refreshing. Tasted like an entirely natural product, like a frozen smoothie. My husband liked them and he’s notoriously difficult to please! I would be happy for my DD to have these a few times a week. Six per pack seems a decent amount too.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I am gluten free for medical reasons and I was really disappointed to see the ones we tried aren’t gluten free. This is such a simple product I expected it to be GF. A little bit bland but I like sweet things and this is a no added sugar product. The lollies themselves were much smaller than I anticipated. They are also expensive for what they are - they’re not what I’d class as a premium product so I’d only buy when they’re on offer.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I would say both but more for the younger age group. It’s a fun and healthy way of getting children to eat more fruit without them really noticing. I think older children would expect them to taste sweeter.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes*

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to try them, much appreciated.

Crazymummyto3 · 03/08/2019 21:16

Are there any Mums on here who have 4 or more children? My husband and I currently have 3 children together aged 10 years, 7 years and 21 months. We are seriously considering having another baby and would like to do it soon as I feel as though my age will start going against me soon. Are we crazy for even considering number 4?! Our house is big enough for them to have a bedroom each and we have a 7 seater car so those things are already sorted. I would need to consider giving up work but we’ve been talking about ways in which we could cut back on the things that we squander money on at the moment. It kind of feels like the biggest jump to change the dynamics was going from 2 to 3, and that adding one more to the brood would be an easier transition, or am I just being naive??
