In fact our lollies always contain four ingredients or less – and by nature contain no added sugar and no nasties! Your kids might call them a snack or even a treat, but you can think of them as a fruit bowl in your freezer!”

Testers please answer the questions below:

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry & Raspberry (the only flavour I could find)

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Most definitely, the Mango flavour would be right up our street!

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very!

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I liked them, a different alternative to the sugary options in the supermarket. I liked the taste & texture. My 5 YO is a lollyholic like me & she loved the flavour and thinks they tasted 'like a bowl of strawberries' Smile

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Probably younger as the older age group would veer towards the other options from the freezer aisle.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

I would and I have already!

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry & Raspberry

Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Possibly, loved the sound of Mango but not with bananas, a citrus flavour would be nice too as my kids and I often choose that.

Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
They were good, taste like homemade frozen smoothie that I never have time to make. The size was good as most ice lollies are very large, and they don’t seem to melt as quickly as regular once, must be the fruit pulp. Guilt free snack for grownups and I don’t mind the kids having them.

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
The box was the main hurdle, my 5 year old was not impressed by my choice and wanted just about any other box of ice lollies - including the alco-lollies! My 3 year old don’t care too much about this yet. It was a bit pulpy, my kids don’t mind as they like fruit and smoothies but I can see this possibly being a problem for some.

Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Probably younger as the box is more marketed towards parents and younger children would have less say. Once out of the box I think it’s personal preference if you like the pulp texture or not.

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes for both adults and children - it makes me feel good to eat them and I think they are a more healthy snack alternative for kids.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

I eventually got strawberry and raspberry, having wanted to try apple and blackcurrant. Unfortunately none of my local Tesco stores stocked that flavour.

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Definitely, it’s a bit annoying that I can find strawberry and raspberry in several local stores, but no other flavour.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Really satisfied. My four year old absolutely loved them. She is dairy and gluten free, and has other intolerances, and so is very restricted. She can’t eat most other lollies and ice creams, so it was great that she could eat these. She really enjoyed the flavour.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

DD loved the taste, and that she could actually eat them. I loved that they are basically a frozen smoothie on a stick, and are all natural, with no chemicals, artificial sweeteners, or added sugar. I tried one, and really enjoyed the flavour too. They are sweet enough, but not sickly-sweet.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

They really appealed to my younger child. I think they might not appeal so much of the child is used to heavily sweetened/flavoured ice creams. Having said that, my older godchild would enjoy them too.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely, I have already done so to another mum who likes her child to have natural, less heavily-professed food, but is time-poor.

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry and raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

They were a good size for the children, especially the youngest who often struggles to finish bigger lollies.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My 7 year old reported that they tasted ‘a bit funny’ but that they were refreshing.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Younger - mostly because my oldest (7) is used to the more sugar laden lollies.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Yes, for younger children.

mebeforeyou · 04/08/2019 09:44

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Mango & Banana

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes, we bought the Strawberry & Raspberry ones too

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Reasonably satisfied but perhaps not the nicest ice lollies, but that's probably because most ice lollies have a lot of added nasties to make them taste and look like what we are programmed to think is nice and yummy.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I liked it that they were 100% fruit without added sugar or any other additives etc so I would be ok with our DS having these regularly. Our DS(4) ate three quarters of the Mango & Banana ice lolly quite happily and said he liked it, but towards the end of it he said it was too sweet and he didn't want it anymore. DH and I tried them too and neither of us were quite sure about them; they seemed quite dense/fibrous, but then that's to be expected with pure fruit puree I guess.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Probably both, but really depends on their taste buds. Our DS(4) thought they were too sweet and he actually has a sweet tooth. I would think older children might think they are boring and want something a bit more fancy and artificial perhaps - most ice lollies seem to be just flavoured ice and garish colours which older kids are more used to having.

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

I think yes for young children as its good to get them into good eating habits while they are young, and we will persist in offering the remaining ice lollies of both the varieties we have to see if we can encourage him to get used to the different levels of flavour, sweetness and texture.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Strawberry and raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Both of the other flavours looked like ones we’d like! So yes we would be :)
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
I loved them, as did my 2 youngest kids.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
I liked what was in them, they seemed very healthy, my youngest could eat it which was a bonus as it has been so hot. My oldest 2 felt there wasn’t a strong enough flavour.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
Younger in my family as they are easier to please...
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes I would :)

Thanks for letting us test them!! :)

Nothing to dislike. We liked that they contained no added sugar and were made with 100% real fruit
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they appeal to both ages as they're a healthy snack for all kids.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes definitely, they are some of the healthiest ice lollies out there and allow children to get their intake of fruit.
BollockyBagels · 04/08/2019 14:35
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?Raspberry and Strawberry
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours? We have already tried the Blackcurrant and Apple
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
My husband and I liked them, however our 2 children were not so keen
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
The adults enjoyed the natural taste of them. The children found them bland and too fruity and to my shame, not sweet enough
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? I think they would appeal to the younger group as they would not have developed too much of a sweet tooth at their age.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?I would certainly recommend them to everybody.
presidentgerbil · 04/08/2019 16:33

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Banana and mango

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes. I'd like there to be a multipack of all the flavours.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very satisfied
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
My little boy really enjoyed them as they were very fruity, and refreshing during the heat wave. I love smoothies so liked that they were more smoothie like than other lollies, which I find a bit sickly!
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I'd probably say younger.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes, especially if they were on offer and it's good weather!
FancifulFeathers · 04/08/2019 22:11

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry & Raspberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

I would love to try the Mango & Banana, personally adore mango!!

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Both myself and my partner thought the lollies were delicious and very refreshing. The texture was different to lollies we usually buy but you could certainly tell they had a great fruit content. My daughter on the other hand did not like them. She didn’t like the texture, she said they were gloopy!
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
My daughter didn’t like the texture but I loved the texture and the taste. Very fresh, very refreshing on a hot day! I would say it’s a bit like a frozen smoothie!
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? In my house, younger because they eat more fruit! Overall, I can’t see why they wouldn’t appeal to all ages!
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes I would.

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Apple and black currant

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

I'd try the strawberry and raspberry, but wouldn't buy anything with banana in. I find banana such an overpowering flavour when mixed in with other things. Complete personal preference.

Very satisfied! My toddler loved them!

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My daughter liked the flavour, and the fact she could have a treat everyday. I liked that they didn't have extra sugar, and didn't feel guilty letting her have one every day when it's been so hot.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

3-6 for sure. They've less say in what is bought and aren't swayed by every advert hey see see on tv.

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Strawberry and Raspberry

Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes a mixed box would be fantastic

Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very, the kids loved them, and I tried a wee bite and they were tasty.

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

They were fresh and fruity and really nice over the past few weeks with the sunny weather.

Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

My two are between 3 and 6 and they loved them, it might be difficult to get older kids to choose these over the chocolatey/full of sugar ones!

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely, I will purchase again, though they seemed a wee bit expensive compared to similar lollies, I will stock up when they're on offer.

What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think younger children although I can imagine they’d appeal to all ages. But I think given a choice older children would choose something more sugary!

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes definitely

We did not like anything about them, e disliked the flavour and the texture.

Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple and blackcurrant
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
I would personally try all of them but my daughter doesn't like mango..she would of just banana though!
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
very satisfied...it took a few trips to be able to get my flavour during the heatwave but very nice and refreshing
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
texture took a few mins to adjust to but the flavour was more intense than synthetic lollies
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why? ice lollies go down a treat with most age ranges so wouldn't see this needing to be marketed to a certain age group and they are good for adults.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
yes although price may put families off initially but for a healthier lolly it's on par to like a of some of the ones classed as luxury
buckley1983 · 05/08/2019 22:42

- Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
I chose Strawberry & Raspberry, although all the flavour combinations sounded delicious!
- Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes definitely - see above!!
- Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
We didn't have the best experience as all of the boxes of these particular lollies were heavily iced over in the freezer dept at Tesco. This ice melted on the drive help so the box was unpleasantly soggy & when we took the lollies out, it looked as if they had defrosted & then been refrozen as they were very mishapen. I didn't mind, but my son initially turned his nose up!
- What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
The flavour combination was really appealing. The fact that the product has no added sugar is really appealing to me as it is often hard to find puddings/deserts without sugar or artificial sweetener.
- Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think the product would appeal more to 3-6 year olds. I feel they might seem a bit 'plain' in flavour & appearance to older children. I feel by adding chunks of fruit or a swirl of natural yoghurt - it could be more appealing to older children.
- Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes I'd certainly encourage them to give them a try. A great healthy alternative to sugary ice lollies & ice creams & a perfect cool-down option for the warmer weather.

iamcalledemma · 06/08/2019 10:29

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple and Blackcurrant, only one available in Tesco when I visited.

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Mango and Banana sounds interesting..
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
These were okay, my 4 year old liked them but the 2 year old was not impressed. Once I got over the strange texture and lack of artificial-ness , they were quite pleasant. I really liked the non melting nature of it, my 2 year old unknowing to me had placed it on the floor, I found it 10 minutes later intact!
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
2 year old didn't like the taste of it, it was a bit sharp I think, he really wanted his mini milk instead. The 4 year old has been working his way through the pack, he likes them a lot.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think younger children are more likely to eat it as they are unaware of its 'healthier' properties.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
I probably wouldn't go out of my way, we would probably buy lollies that appealed to the whole family, I don't mind my lollies being that unhealthy as they are an occasional treat.

Thanks for the opportunity to test.

elrider · 06/08/2019 14:04
  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
I was allocated Apple and Blackcurrant
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Yes and I've already tried the Mango and Banana at a friend's house!
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very!
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
We liked that they are 100% fruit. I otherwise don't buy packaged ice lollies as they are usually full of sugar/sweeteners/E numbers, etc. They were like a smoothie in ice lolly form! Good size for kids, too (though mine could still eat the whole box in one)!
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I'm not sure as I only have a 2 year old but they loved them, as did the adults. I don't see why any age wouldn't like them, unless they were older and used to bright, E number type lollies already, in which case it might be hard to change their minds to try something healthier!
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Absolutely, and I already have (even to my relatives with no children as I think they're a good healthy option for adults, too). I will keep buying them, in between also making my own which is what I already did.
sjonlegs · 06/08/2019 14:48

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Raspberry and strawberry

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Yes, definitely- they all sound good to me 👍

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

Very satisfied, my sons loved them and my daughter, though my husband wasn’t so keen (he’s got a very sweet tooth). Fortunately, as they were sugarfree, I was able to share the last bit of mine with my very hot 🐶!! (He was a massive fan).

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

My kids love ice lollies & fruit so win:win! I loved that they were tasty 😋 and just as good as other brands but not full of sugar!

100% fruit is definitely my thing and I wouldn’t worry if they were having more than one a day - which in the hot summer months is easily done!

The packaging was appealing too.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

I'd initially thought younger - but my children are older now and aware of healthy diets and especially sugar content (my -4 yr old son has gone to the gym every day this summer to hone his 6-pack). I think we’ll definitely keep a box in our freezer for sure. I’d say appeal to all ages. They’re a lot like the frozen smoothies that I make myself if/when I find the time!

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?

Definitely. In fact I already have. There’s a pack in the freezer which is depleting as I type!!

Thanks for the opportunity. Grin

Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?

Mango & Banana

  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?

Probably not

  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?

The two children thought they were revolting, husband agreed. I was the only person to finish it.

  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?

I liked the unsweet taste but the others argued that they enjoy tastes that aren’t sweet in plenty of other places but not lollipops.

  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?

Better for young children who aren’t familiar with the concept of ice lollies

  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Probably not really as most of the family thought they were horrid.

We liked the flavour and I liked the fact that it is low in calories for me
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I think they would appeal to either age bracket. They have a smoothie consistency which appealed to me and my child, so I think any age would enjoy them
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Yes

  • Which flavour of Nice by Nature ice lollies did you choose to test?
Apple and blackcurrent.
  • Would you be interested in trying any of the other flavours?
Definitely they all sounds nice and think children would like all.
  • Overall, how satisfied were you and your family with the Nice by Nature ice lollies?
Very. Feeld better allowing a lolly when not as unhealthy as some.
  • What did you/your child like or dislike about Nice By Nature ice lollies?
Liked the taste. Did comment for a more colourful one as last pack we got were rocket shaped lollies.
  • Do you think Nice by Nature ice lollies would appeal more to younger (3-6) or older (7-12) children? Why?
I don't have older children but imagine more to younger ones as older children are more likely to have a favourite less healthy lolly.
  • Would you recommend Nice by Nature ice lollies to your friends or family?
Absolutely. Not as cheap as others but feel that's reflected in a much higher quality product.
