This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users with a child aged 6-24 months, who tested Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais. All selected testers were given vouchers to buy one of each of the following flavours:

I was very satisfied. The kids seemed to enjoy the variety in flavours and the size was perfect for after a meal or as a snack.

Yes I would recommend the product. The flavours aren't too strong for a weaning baby and the consistency is good.

The kids liked the flavours of the yoghurts and the consistency. I liked the size of the product.

My little boy loves them. He loves fromage frais anyway but really enjoyed the Apple and pear as a new flavour.

Definitely, fruity, creamy and a good range of flavours to suit all babies.

I loved the ease of buying them in all major supermarkets and he loved the flavours.

Went to Tesco and only found the x4 pack. That’s so sad

Very. These went down really well with my 13 month old. He loved the different fruity flavours and I was pleased they were naturally sweetened with fruit juice. No extra sugar!

• Would you recommend Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais to a friend or family member who is about to wean their baby? Please explain why or why not.

If they were going down a shop-bought route then definitely. I felt confident that there were no unnecessary added ingredients.

• What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried?

We liked the range of flavours. The soft texture is perfect for early weaning onwards.

Yes. Although I’d probably wait for them to be a special offer.

I buy yogurt every week for my child, he loves it and it’s a great source of calcium.

• Would you consider buying Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais in a 6 pack for your child?

I would, although I’d probably prefer alto but t as a single big pot as it would be cheaper.

So far I went to 2 different Sainsbury's and 1 Tesco only found the strawberry and raspberry pack, will keep trying to find them and then report.

Went to my local big Asda to buy, they only do the mixture packs which was annoying!

Quite. My daughter liked to eat them and they had a good range of flavours but the overall price could be better value

Not specifically for babies about to wean as I think starting with solids for BLW is best. Yoghurts can come later or they'll only eat sweet puree

I was very satisfied with the product from both a taste and size point of view. My little one (13 months) wasn’t very keen however she is more used to natural flavor yoghurt, so I will continue to offer more fruity flavours to see if she enjoys it.

• Would you recommend Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais to a friend or family member who is about to wean their baby? Please explain why or why not.

I would recommend it for weaning, the size is perfect so little wastage, however from personal expierence, I may suggest they wait and introduce a more natural flavour before moving onto this.

• What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried?

I loved the inside of the packaging which encourages the child to recycle both the cardboard and plastic tub to make an animal. Very innovative and a good way to encourage recycling from an early age.

I definitely would buy this again.

As long as the fromage frais has no added sugar, I would definitely buy it more often.

Absolutely, my daughter loves eating natural Greek style yoghurt so this would go down well.

Very satisfied, DS really enjoyed the new flavours but the consistency was more watery than other fromage frais we buy.

Yes, the texture is nice and smooth and the flavours are not too tart.

- What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried?

DS loved the flavours which I also liked because it made him easier to feed! I didn't particularly like the more watery consistency because it tended to drip off of the spoon.

I buy Fromage Frais weekly and DS has one a day so I don't think anything would encourage me to buy them more often.

I was quite satisfied with them, my little girl loved them but my little boy had one and didn't like it.

• Would you recommend Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais to a friend or family member who is about to wean their baby? Please explain why or why not. I probably wouldn't specifically recommend these ones are they are quite pricey and it is cheaper to buy a big tub of natural yoghurt and add some fruit to it
• What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried? I think the size was quite small but the taste wasn't too bad
• Would you buy Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 pack again? Not at that price, they are expensive for what they are
• What would encourage you to buy yogurt or fromage frais for your child more often? We always have natural yoghurt as dessert for the kids so no extra encouragement needed
• Would you consider buying Little Yeos Natural Fromage Frais in a 6 pack for your child? They are expensive for what they are. I would need two for each child for their packed lunches so it wouldn't make sense financially to get them.

We loved them. Great size pots, loved the flavours.

We really enjoyed the different flavours. Creamy but fruity. Me and my husband definitely joined in on the product test

Slightly cheaper. Great product, but more than I normally spend on the kids yoghurts.

Pretty satisfied. It was hard to get all the flavours to be honest. I went to 2 different large supermarkets and still only found 2 flavour types. But my son enjoyed them. He also liked the pictures on the lids.

• Would you recommend Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais to a friend or family member who is about to wean their baby? Please explain why or why not.

Yes. If I knew that price wasn't an issue. They're pricey and personally I'd mind about the potential waste with a just-weaned baby. At £1.65 a pack, I'd wanna make sure that it all made it into my kids rather than the floor/spat out/ flicked up the wall etc.

I liked that they were organic and had slightly less sugar than some cheaper brands. He liked the pictures and the taste.

I have 4 children and 3 of them loved them. Me and 3 of the children were very satisfied with the taste and consistency of the yogurt. My 4 year old didn't like it. She said she didn't like the flavour

I definitely would. I really like that it doesn't taste as sweet as a lot of other yogurt brands

My kids loved the packaging. They enjoy colouring in while eating their yogurt. I really like the natural flavour of the yogurts.

Nothing, we buy it weekly as my girls enjoy fromage frais for pudding.

We were very satisfied with them. I liked that they weren't as sweet as other fromage frais and my little girl (9months) really enjoyed them.

-Would you recommend Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais to a friend or family member who is about to wean their baby? Please explain why or why not.

Yes I would. I feel that they are healthier than other brands as they are organic and less sugar.

-What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried?

My daughter liked all the flavours apart from apple and pear - she refused to eat those ones. I would have liked a bigger pack size as we usually buy an 18 pack each week as it's better value. I didn't like that sometimes the lids get stuck together so sometimes I accidentally open one that I wasn't going to use.

Yes if it was on offer. But not the apple & pear flavour.

I think free gifts would make me buy them more often. A free weaning spoon for my little girl would be great. Or my eldest likes stickers or magnets.

Very. My 10 month old had one every day for his afternoon snack and he loved them. His little legs started kicking as soon as he saw me get it out of the fridge!

Yes definitely, and already have. I like that they are sweetened with fruit juice only.

My son loved the Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais and had two a day as he liked them so much!

Yes I would. The texture is great as it isn’t too thick or runny and perfect for young tastebuds.

• What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried?

I loved the variety in flavours. Not just having to stick to plain old strawberry etc. I loved even more the fact that there was no added sugar as a lot of yoghurts for that age range and some more popular brands have sugar as their second/third highest ingredient.

Most certainly. It’s a decent sized pack.

Yoghurts with a continued variety of flavours to introduce more flavours to my son as he gets older. Yoghurts with less sugar but still with enough flavour.

Little Girl liked the product but it was very small for a portion. I disliked the RRP and wouldn't pay that much for Fromage Frais.

Yes, if the price was lower.

• not very satisfied. The yoghurts tasted really sour. Not pleasant at all.
• would not recommend product. Very pricey and the pots didn't snap apart very easily either.
• dd didn't like either of the flavours I tested. She will happily eat other brands yoghurts though. Just too sour for her. I tried and didn't like either.
• no, wouldn't buy them again. Too expensive and not nice. *nothing, already buy petit filous yoghurts for both dd each week so will continue to do that.
• no, will stick to a brand I know my kids will eat.

 Very satisfied. I have 2 children, one almost 2 and one almost 7 months and both of them loved it.

 Yes, definitely. I’d recommend it on the basis that I’ve used them and they were a hit but also because it’s a treat for the little ones without all the extra sugar/additives etc.

 My kids loved all 3 of them. Both of them age every flavour without a fuss. Youngest especially loved the strawberry & apricot. The only thing I disliked was the price.

Hello. Here's our thoughts. Sorry we were only able to try the strawberry and raspberry flavour this time, we tried two different supermarkets!

Overall how satisfied were you and your child with Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais?

I think they're great. My 11 month old loved them so much he was throwing the spoon back to me for more. I tried them too and liked how they didn't taste too sweet. I love the Yeo valley brand, I like that it's supporting British farmers and using natural ingredients. It's such a refreshing change from low fat sweetener yogurts that seem to dominate the yogurt aisle

-Would you recommend Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais to a friend or family member who is about to wean their baby? Please explain why or why not.

In a general weaning conversation I definitely wouldn't as I prefer to give my baby plain natural yoghurt from a large tub and add my own fruit as this is healthiest. However if someone asked specifically about yogurts I would definitely recommend them because they don't have added sugar in and they're a nice size. I wouldn't consider any other brand because as far as I know no one else makes no added sugar small British yogurts for children

-What did you and your child like or dislike about Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais 6 packs that you tried?

I loved the branding, supporting British farmers, taste not too sweet, good size. I think it's a tiny bit pricey but you get what you pay for, this is definitely super quality. my baby loved the taste and kept throwing his spoon back for more, he looked very very happy eating these and they were the perfect size for him

Yes I will, they are nice as a change and my baby loves them. My 4 year old thought they were fab too. But 90% of the time we will stick to our plain natural yoghurt. I just think that's the healthiest thing to do. I would buy these as a healthy "pudding" now and again

-What would encourage you to buy yogurt or fromage frais for your child more often?

I already buy a big tub of natural yoghurt every week for my boys and me, we love yogurt! I'd love to see a Yeo valley no added sugar in a big pot so that I could put it in bowls and add my own fruit. I'm trying to reduce my plastic so tiny tubs isn't great for that, though I thought the portion size was spot on so I understand it.

Yes definitely. 90% of the time we will stick to our plain big pots but these would definitely make a nice change now and again. I could definitely trick my children into thinking these are a "pudding" and wouldn't have to feel too guilty about it!

The size and flavours are excellent. The price is slightly more than similar products and we found that when you tore off a carton, sometimes the lid came undone.

Yes. In fact, we already have. Apple and pear flavour was a real hit.
