This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users with a child aged 6-24 months, who tested Little Yeos Fruity Fromage Frais. All selected testers were given vouchers to buy one of each of the following flavours:

I was really satisfied. They were a bit more expensive than my normal brand but much less sugar so worth the extra cost

Yes, I think my little one preferred the taste of our usual brand but having so much less sugar would ensure I recommended this brand

I liked that there was a variety of flavours though I found it hard to find them all.

Yes if my nearest shop stocked them - which they don't - I'd probably buy them if I saw them over my usual brand but wouldn't drive to a bigger supermarket to buy them specifically

Ease of finding them in my local shop and different flavours. Also less sugar/healthier options like these

I wouldn’t recommend to someone with a baby just about to start weaning, but that’s only because I don’t think v young babies need any added sugar in their diet, especially when trying foods for the first time. Older babies/toddlers absolutely.

The size! Perfect for a quick snack or a treat for after dinner.

Yes, definitely.

Organic ingredients, as little added sugar as possible.

Definitely. Dd would much more willingly eat plain yogurt if it was in a little pot now she knows what they are from sight! I like being able to add my own sweeteners in the form of raw honey or fruit purée, but she won’t eat natural yogurt out of a bowl and I haven’t got the time nor energy to decant into a tiny pot!

The children really enjoyed them and liked trying the different flavours. I thought they tasted nice and not too sweet

I probably wouldn’t as I’d be more likely to recommend plain yogurt for a 6 month old.

Yes definitely - I’d either serve it plain or add fresh fruit. I’d love to be able to buy plain yogurt in the small sized pots

My little girl wouldn't eat it, fortunatelly I have older one who ate all of them and she really liked them, but my nearly 2 year old didn't even want to try it.

If they kids likes fromage or youghurts than yes, but if not than probably not.

No, I went to all shops from the list but the only one I found them in was Sainsbury. All other supermarkets stocks only Little Yeos 4 packs

Took me a while to find, supermarkets near me only seem to stock the mixture pack. I got the strawberry and raspberry mix in the end.

I wouldn't recommend or not recommend - nothing to dislike particularly but cheaper yoghurts would do as well

My daughter is 23 months so one of the older children trying these.. they are too small for her. She could do two heaped spoons and practically finish it! She does really like strawberry and raspberry flavours though, we solved it by eating several in a row :)

Most definitely. I don't think there are any other brands that are refined sugar free.

Only the plastic waste, but not sure how to deal with that? I generally buy a large tub of plain greek yogurt.

Yes, I think so. Really wonderful for pudding during a playdate.

I was very satisfied, my little ones (18 months, 5 & 11) all loved the taste

I would As liked the fact that there was no added sugar and the consistency was just right I have tried some other brands yogurt which was for weaning babies and found that too be too sour, but the taste with these was just right

I was quite satisfied, they were a good size for both my 3 year old and 10 month old. They were creamy and my little boy said they tasted nice.

Yes as they were well received by both boys.

The variety of flavours and size were good but they are quite pricey compared to other brands we usually buy.

Probably only if they were on special offer. I think the increased price compared to our usual brands is too high to justify a swap.

Yes, I would add it to fruit for the boys as a different type of pudding or breakfast.

Yes - really nice product. Produced in a good way and delicious.

Liked that they are organic, tasted great and a nice size.

Yes for my older child. The younger isn’t getting on too well with dairy - if that improves I would buy these as they are nice.

The pots were a bit small for my 20 month old, he wanted 2! But he loved them. Although wasn’t too keen on the ones with pear in them.

Yes, although they were quite expensive.

A large pot. I’m conscious of my plastic usage and the little pots seem quite wasteful to me.

Yes and no... They are a great size for little ones and handy to take out, or for packed lunch etc but I prefer natural yoghurt as they have less sugar.

I liked the size and that you can take them out easily. My daughter loved the packaging too and the taste, she always ate all of the yoghurt.

Yes occasionally but not for every day.

my tesco only stocked one mixed pack but both my lo enjoyed it, the four year old said it was delicious.

Very satisfied, we have been buying yeo valley yoghurts for all the family for years now

I would but not frequently, as dairy may upset a weaning baby's digestion.

My children liked all the flavours and the texture, however I found them significantly smaller than the 4 pack, so better suited to babies than older toddlers.

Yes for my 1.5 year old, but not for the older kids.

I regularly buy it already.

Yes I would for snacks, especially when out and about, but I think the 4 pack is better even for my 1.5yr old as they are just the right portion size.

We really liked these, they felt natural and had a really lovely flavour. Both my girls (1 and 4) loved them, they chose these over other yogurts in our fridge every time.

Absolutely! No question about it. They are small enough not to waste it even with a weaning baby and the natural aspect makes them even more baby friendly. I hate giving my girls things with added sugar in even at their age.

The different flavours. My eldest had two at a time. It would be nice to make a bigger version of them for bigger tummies.

We buy quite a lot of yogurt. The girls have always enjoyed yogurt and is a relatively sugar free and easy dessert. We often mix with some fruit to be more filling.

I probably wouldn’t as I use lots of natural and would just buy a big tub and mix it into curries, sauces etc and sometimes with honey or fruit for dessert. The flavoured ones are better in smaller pots.

My 14 month old was not keen on these yoghurts. I gave her several flavours to try but she barely had a few spoons. We usually buy petit filous which she likes.
The price is reasonable for the product, but sadly they were not liked by my little one or my 5 year old!

Satisfied - my one year old likes them. We couldn’t find all of the flavour combinations though.

Not really but I don’t tend to make recommendations of food for weaning in case of allergies etc.

My son liked the taste. I like that they seem healthier / lower sugar than other similar sized yoghurts.

No - I would use a large tub of plain yoghurt / fromage frais.

We were very satisfied with the yoghurts. My son ate them all happily.

I would recommend them as I think they are not too sweet and have a good variety of flavours.

We liked them all. My son loves yoghurt so was happy to eat them. Never any left at the bottom!

We would buy them again.

We buy yoghurt as a staple so don’t really need encouragement. But until recently Tesco always had little yeos on offer. They have now stopped this which is disappointing.

I probably would have got the natural fromage frais when weaning so I could mix a bit of purée with it. But now I just buy the yoghurts so the natural flavour wouldn’t interest me.

We struggled to find all three flavours but with regards the two we did get (from Sainsbury's), I liked the packaging and presentation

I would probably recommend steering clear of any flavoured yogurt and going for plain yogurt instead

I couldn’t get my 20 month old to try them unfortunately! He occasionally refuses yogurt and I think is going through a phase with it at the moment. His 4 year old sister tried them and ate them, though I think she noticed they were less sweet than yogurts she’s used to (I am not complaining about the lack of sweetness btw!!)

Yes, I would buy these for DD and would hope to encourage DS to try them

Knowing they were definitely going to eat it (so avoiding waste) and price reductions/offers

I would definitely consider this - I think my children would like the smaller pots and it might encourage them to be more accepting of natural yogurt

Being a bit cheaper would help, I tend to buy the 18 yoghurts for £2 offer alot as i have the 3 boys and they would demolish a pack of 6 in a day so 18 lasts a few
