‘Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection and comfort. We ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection, and the Toujours range is now more flexible giving your baby the comfort and freedom to explore the world. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy, our prices are low but our quality high. Toujours is dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means less materials, less packaging and less energy, minimising our carbon footprint.’

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
Newborn - size 1

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Likes - slimline, good fit, good absorbency.
Dislikes - they don't have the wet nappy indicator strip!

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes, because they are good value for money, but not unreservedly because the lack of indicator strip is a pain.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Maybe, just because they are such good value.

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My son is 18 months and tried size 5.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I liked how slim and lightweight they were. Very easy to throw in the bag. If I could add anything it'd be a wetness indicator.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes I would.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes I would. I've been impressed with how leakproof they are and think they are excellent value for the price!

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

Brand new - so newborn

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

They feel and look cheaper than other brands because they are, well cheaper but that is not reflected in the quality we had no leaks no rash just a happy dry baby x x x

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Already have

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes and no - they are worth the money a all round good nappy but unfortunately no lidls near us

Kerfuffled · 11/07/2016 21:08
  1. Two and a half and tested size 6.
  2. I thought they were a good fit and didn't smell. I didn't find them absorbent enough at night although they're no less absorbent than a lot of other nappies out there. I though they could be softer too.
  3. I probably wouldn't recommend them as I think there are better nappies around,
  4. Yes, I'd buy them as they're a great price. However I'd probably keep them for daytime use.
SoniaShoe · 11/07/2016 21:37

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

Newborn from day 1

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

They're quite lightweight but they haven't been leaking so far. They work great for us.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes definitely.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why

Yes. They are good value and I shop at Lidl anyway so they will be our primary nappies until any point that they stop working well for us ie when my son gets mobile they may start leaking.

ForeverFlummoxed · 11/07/2016 21:47
  1. How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

11 weeks/size 3

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I liked how slim they are compared to Aldi's. We had no leaks with them, and I was impressed with overnight usage as we have started having longer stretches in between changes. I used a mixture of these and Pampers Baby Dry throughout the past couple of weeks at night and found no major differences.

  1. Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes absolutely.

  1. Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? If I lived near a Lidl yes I would as they are great value for money and performed well for us.
Iamnotanugget · 11/07/2016 22:24

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? 2 years 2 months, size 6 but would probably have been better with a 5.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? I was very impressed with these. They are incredibly slim, good, comfortable fit and we had no problems with leaks, even overnight. My older dc liked the design which to me looked like it was in the style of, but clearly not, Pampers.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? Definitely. After 3 dc I think I have tried every single brand at some point but I think these might actually be my favourite.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? Yes. Fabulous price, good fit and stay dry, what else can you ask for?

Catty212 · 11/07/2016 22:29

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My little boy is two and we tested the size 5 nappies

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

The nappies felt thing and soft which I was pleased about. The design was nice and my little boy was impressed with the owls on the front. We found them a little uncomfortable around the waist and struggle to get a fit where they were snug around the crotch without being tight at the waist. They did leak up the front at night on two occasions during our testing.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
If they were priced well then I probably would, but would recommend using them during the day, rather than at night.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Yes I would but only during the day.

Bubbles85 · 11/07/2016 22:44

)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

6 months - size 3

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I loved the lack of smell and the fit was really good to prevent leaks.

I decided to used a different brand at night as absorbency at night could be better. The sticky tabs were not sticky enough and occasionally pinged off.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes - they are great nappies at affordable prices.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Pointeshoes · 12/07/2016 11:08

We tested size 1 on our 4 week old twin boys who weigh 4lb and 4lb. They were brilliant as they absorbed everything so didn't have any leaks unlike when using other brands so I would buy them as they are a very good price and I have already recommended then to friends. I think the only thing I found which could be improved was that the tabs are quite scratchy but other than that they are nicely designed.

iamthemusicman · 12/07/2016 12:00

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

9 months and I used size 5

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Excellent, very absorbent - similar in shape and style to Pampers and every bit as good

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes definitely

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes definitely. Good price and every bit as good as branded nappies

MrsReacher85 · 12/07/2016 12:56

Yes, definitely.

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My son is 2years and 10 months old. We trial led the Size 6 nappies.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I really liked these nappies. They felt very slim and fitted very well. My son seemed very comfortable and they did the job very well.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

I would recommend them as I feel that they performed well and fitted nicely. My son is pretty active and they didn't seem to bunch or slip.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

I would absolutely buy these nappies again. They performed better than some brand nappies that I have purchased.
Despite their slim, light feel I think they stood the full nappy test admirably!
The price would be a big influence too.
Very pleased with the nappies.

GreatBritishBakeOff · 12/07/2016 15:57

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
10 months and size 5.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
They had a good fit and did the job. I wasn't keen on the thinness of them to be honest. They felt a bit plasticky and cheap. I quite like how some nappies are a bit larger - more padding for the inevitable bottom landings! They didn't leak though, but weren't as dry as pampers.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? Maybe, for their price they are good value, but I prefer the quality of pampers.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Possibly if I was in a lidl and pampers weren't on offer.

MacTweedy · 12/07/2016 16:06

yes.

megjoe1 · 12/07/2016 16:20

Thank you for allowing us to test these nappies.
We have a 6 month old and used size 3 nappies.
I really liked the design and the fact the nappies were not bulky, Alrhough they did leak
I don't think I would recommend the nappies i'm afraid. The price is fantastic but I had to change them more often.
I do not think I would buy in the future

Zebrasinpyjamas · 12/07/2016 19:41

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? We used size 2 on DD.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? I liked them overall. They fitted well (quite a generous fit) and stayed in place well. I thought they felt a bit rough compared to other brands we've used which is my only hesitation.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? Yes

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? Yes

Zina222 · 12/07/2016 20:50

We trialled the newborn nappies. I was happy with the absorbency and the fit and would happily recommend to friends and family as I think they are amazing quality for the price. The only real downside to them is the plastic feel they have to them. I am a nappy snob and the feel of them does make them seem cheap (which obviously they are) I personally prefer something softer near my babies skin. On a personal level I doubt I would use them again unless I was absolutely skint

VikingLady · 12/07/2016 21:21

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? 15 months, size 5

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? They worked well, on the whole. The tabs weren't as sticky as some other brands so my DS was able to undo them a bit too easily, but they held his wee pretty well, and were decently deep on the back - no poo explosions up his back!

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? Yes

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? Yes, if I was able to get to a Lidl!

goldenretriever1978 · 12/07/2016 21:48
  1. Size 1. Baby only a few days old.
  1. My overall impression of the nappies was good. I liked the design, that they weren't too bulky and the sticky tape held them together well. I disliked the fact that they could have been softer.
  1. I would recommend these nappies to a friend.
  1. I would buy these nappies in the future as a 'stop gap' in case I ran out of my 'main' nappies.
sufferkate · 13/07/2016 08:43
  1. My daughter is 17 months and in size 5.
  1. The nappies are very slim and lightweight. The size of the pack was a lot smaller compared with the same amount of nappies from my usual brand (aldi). They fit a lot better because of the lack of bulk, and my daughter seemed to be able to move around a little better. They are very soft, but also very absorbent. We had no leakage issues at all!
  1. Yes, definitely!
  1. Yes, I will be switching to these from now on. They are lighter, softer, and on a par with the absorbency of my usual brand.
Kellz92 · 13/07/2016 15:54

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? I used the newborn nappies

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I really liked how well they kept my baby dry for a lot longer than some other brands

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? Yes i would definitely recommend these nappies

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? I will be purchasing them asgain as they are great value, and quality for the price
