Size 4 Maxi (7-18kg) 50 pack

Here’s what Lidl have to say about the product:

‘Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection and comfort. We ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection, and the Toujours range is now more flexible giving your baby the comfort and freedom to explore the world. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy, our prices are low but our quality high. Toujours is dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means less materials, less packaging and less energy, minimising our carbon footprint.’

Yes

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Probably - they're good value.

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My little girl is 15 months old, I used size 4.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I loved these nappies. I can't believe I'm saying this but I rate them even higher than Aldis!! I thought the design on them was very cute. They are less bulky than other nappies (closer to pap era I would say) and obviously cheaper in price. The only thing I would like to see is them doing a plus version eg 4+.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

I would absolutely recommend them.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes I would buy them again. I think for the quality and absorbency of them they are remarkably good value for money. I am so happy I was able to try them.

AbsolutelyIDo · 02/07/2016 22:33

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

16 months size 5

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I was impressed by the design and quality. They were less cheap feeling than other supermarket brands I've tried. Still not as soft as pampers though.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes. I'd buy them for daytime use. I think is still stick with pampers for nighttime though.

CountessOfStrathearn · 02/07/2016 22:53

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

3 weeks, Size 1

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Excellent. They were nicely shaped and very absorbent. There was one time that the nappy leaked but they managed good gaps between changing overnight without issues otherwise.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes, definitely. They were very good and very good value for money.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes, again they would be very good value for money and were very good quality.

  1. How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

7 weeks and in size 2 nappies

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Overall impression is very good, they fit well, the tabs were strong and held well and most importantly we've not had a single leak since we've been using them! Having tried Asda Tesco and Aldi nappies over the last few weeks these are the only ones that haven't yet had a leak!

  1. Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Would definitely recommend.

  1. Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

I think we'll be sticking to lidl nappies from now on! They're definitely the best fit for DS and have been the most reliable we've tried.

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My daughter is 10 months and we used the size 3 nappies

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
They were a nice design, a good size but felt 'cheap' I.e. Quite a rough material rather than the softer nappies you get with pampers.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Maybe. If it was for older babies/ toddlers I would but not if it was for younger babies as I didn't feel they stayed dry for as long as Pampers.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
No, my daughter leaked through them at night and she seemed to get quite sore with them during the day. However, I ado looked after my nephew of the same age and used them on him and he was fine. I think my daughter drinks a lot more than him so is getting wetter faster so they aren't any good for me unfortunately

iamdivergent · 03/07/2016 18:22

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

Currently 5 days old, newborn size

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

They are similar in look and feel to other, more expensive nappies - they look good quality. There was nothing that I disliked about the nappies.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes, I would recommend these nappies.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes, I would definately use these nappies in the future. Our Lidl is currently closed for refurbishment but I will be on the look out for when it reopens so that I can continue to use these nappies.

Comments

Look and feel like more expensive brands; very good for the newborn poos; did not leak once - very impressed.

usernameinfinito · 03/07/2016 23:36

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
3 years old. Size 6

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Lovely design, they look like they are as good as the more expensive brands and they are. They also look comfortable and keep pee and poop inside them throughout the night, no leaks Smile There was nothing to dislike.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes, definitely.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes, because they are good quality nappies and very reasonably priced.

InWithTheOutlaws · 04/07/2016 07:23
  1. I have two children, aged 1 and aged 3, both tested size 5. The baby over the day and night and the child during the night (usually wees during the first part of the night)

  2. I liked the slim, lightweight quality. I use Asda Little Angel generally and didn't find these quite as soft but pretty comparable. There were no leaks over this time period.

  3. Yes, I would.

  4. Quite possibly. I use ASDA because they are excellent and they deliver. But if I happened to be near a Lidl I'd be happy to stock up on these, they're just as good.

Whatapavlova · 04/07/2016 09:13

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

12 weeks - we tested size 2.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

They were ok, they had a slightly funny texture but did the job well. They are smaller than the other brand size 2 we currently use so were a bit snug but kept everything contained. A shame they don't have a wetness indicator.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

I'd probably say they were a reasonable alternative, but not my preference.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Maybe, we do our main shop in Lidl so it would be convenient and they are good value.

DoubleMammy · 04/07/2016 11:32

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? 5 months, Size 3

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I thought the design of the nappies was nice and I liked how thin they were.
Although fine through the day, unfortunately they did not keep my son dry overnight. Every night since beginning to use these he woke with his clothes soaked through. Not only is that a bad thing from his point of view, but bad for us, as he usually sleeps through when in his normal Aldi nappies, so we're getting woken up!

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? Not sure. Possibly not, because of the overnight issue.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

I would if there were no alternatives. It's a shame about the absorbency overnight, because during the day they are absolutely brilliant and I'm very pleased with them

MagentaMars · 04/07/2016 12:42

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? DS is 22 months old and we tested the size 5 nappies.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? Overall, I liked these nappies a lot. They are a bit slimmer than other nappies we've tried (including other brands in a similar price range). DS is tall for his age and has a long body, but these nappies were still high enough in the rise that we didn't have any issue with the way they fit. They were absorbent and stayed on well.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? I would certainly recommend Lidl Toujours Nappies to a friend.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? I would buy these nappies in the future. I don't live close to a Lidl store, but I would certainly ask a friend to pick me up a few bundles if they had a chance, or even drop into a store myself if I happened to be passing by.

rabbitmummy · 04/07/2016 13:41

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

3 weeks old and size 2

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Overall a good, reliable product. Excellent value for money and therefore a simple design.
Liked: The price
Dislike: Lack of urine indicator line

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

I would definitely recommend these nappies to a friend.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

I would buy these again as they are a very cheap but effective product and Lidl is very convenient to where I live.

  1. How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

17 weeks old and size 2

  1. What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

The packaging and overall appearance of the nappies were good but I didn't like the feel of them at all - they felt plasticky and cheap. They are quit stiff and there isn't enough give in the elastic part where the tabs are attached so the fit wasn't great

  1. Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Unfortunately not, great price but overall disappointing

  1. Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

No, sorry! I don't like the feel or fit of these nappies and DD got nappy rash for the first time ever when using these nappies. I'll stick to Aldi and Tesco

livinginhope87 · 04/07/2016 16:44

ow old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? We used a size 6 for my 2.5 year old

2)What was your roverall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? Overall it was very good. A bit thin but did a good job.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes
4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why yes they are great value.

Ubercorn · 04/07/2016 17:42

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
He is two years old and we tested size 5 nappies.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Packaging was easy to open and opened neatly, no nappies exploding out of a half torn packet. It also had a carry handle on the packet which I like because it means if I'm buying a packet I can hang it on the buggy handle and save space in the basket underneath for other things.

They didn't have a strong chemical smell that some nappies have.

The waistband was stretchy and a generous fit, bigger than a Pampers size 5, and was comfortable - no red marks or creases on DS tummy.

They were really thin and lightweight but really absorbant. DS has been overflowing his bedtime nappy so I've had to change him at around 11pm. I tried these overnight and while they were very full by morning I didn't need to change him at 11pm and they didn't leak.

There's one teeny, tiny thing I didn't like and it's a total non-issue. The back of the nappy sits quite high up, this might just be my titch of a DS, but it was almost quite high past his waist and meant it was sticking right over the top of jeans/trousers and as soon as he bent over his top would snag in the back of the nappy and he'd be running around with it hanging out. Nappy hanging out of clothes gives me the twitch (see how it's a non-issue?) but I resolved it by folding in the top of the nappy so it sits lower down his back.

Other than that I was really impressed with how good they are.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
I wouldn't go out of my way to start a conversation about them but if we were talking about nappies or leaking or I was asked for a recommendation then yes, I would recommend them.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Yes I would. I really liked them and the price is great, they aren't at all what youd expect a 'cheap' nappy to be like and are definitely comparable to Pampers and other premium brands (or in our case, better than).

Thank you for choosing me to test these.

eatsleepfeedrepeat · 04/07/2016 19:23

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

6 month old (weighs just under 8kg), used size 3.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Overall, thought they were just OK.
Liked: design, were quite compact so easy to fit into changing bag, good velcro tabs, didn't cause any soreness, seemed comfortable.
Disliked: they seemed a bit low rise compared to usual brand, and did leak a bit when used overnight.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Would not recommend due to the leakiness.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

If I couldnt get my usual brand for any reason and was close to Lidls I might consider, as they are good value for money, but overall I'll stick to Aldi.

MrsSpa · 04/07/2016 20:01
  1. Son is 35 months, tried extra large.
  2. Liked the nappies, nice and slim and absorbent enough for days. Uncertain about night time use as he tended to get damp around the top of the nappy
  3. Yes
  4. Yes, though maybe not for nights
mrsdiddlydoo · 04/07/2016 20:16

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

7months and she wore Size 3

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Overall impression was they are good nappies. Not bulky, a little plasticy but it's the nature of the product, didn't smell and generally did the job. I liked how slim they were and stayed when used. We had a few leaks of wee over night but I think this is down to dd's shape (hollow curve to back shape) and how much she wriggles at night.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes definitely because they are good and much better priced than brands like pampers.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes. Price. Quality. Overall just satisfied with them.

Thanks

BooRooandTiggerToo · 04/07/2016 21:01
  1. 7 months / size 3

  2. I liked that they were high waisted which would great if your little one is tall. The fastening straps held well with a wriggling baby and they didn't leak overnight.

  3. I would recommend them to friends on both cost and quality

  4. Yes, Great value for money and the quality was surprising

dynevoran · 05/07/2016 00:15

1: 2 years old. Size 6.
2: they seemed as good as pampers to me. Slimmer and softer and more flexible than sainsburys and tesco own brands. Very leakproof and absorbent. Definitely as good as pampers.
3: yes i would definitely recommend. Very good price and quality.
4: i will definitely make a special trip to buy again.

DarthMother · 05/07/2016 06:46

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
3 years old and we used size 6.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
They were a good fit, felt fine on and there were no leaks. We're only using nappies at night so it's important that they can last the whole night.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Yes, I think they'really good value and work well.

MrsKHammond · 05/07/2016 10:14

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

He's 2 years old and we tested size 4.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I like the design as it was neutral, nappies were very absorbant. NO LEAKS! Didn't lose with the weight and fall off. Size was perfect for my boy. Price tag is also appealing

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes I would recommend this product. Price, fit and absorbancy was A+

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

If I was to regularly shop at Lidl I would change brands of nappies. They are great nappies.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 05/07/2016 11:09

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

5 weeks old. Size 1.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Overall - they're good. For a value nappy, they're great. I did feel that we needed to change the nappies more often than with pampers nappies. They didn't feel as soft as pampers or ASDA nappies, but still plenty soft enough. I also don't think they're quite as big. We had a couple of leaks, but I think that would've happened with any nappy (eg once wee leaked out of the side while DS was lying on his side, a couple of times poo leaked out of the leg or up the back of the nappy, but there was a lot of it.) DS has developed a bit of nappy rash, but I don't think that's related to the nappy.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes. I'd buy them for times I needed to do frequent nappy changes.
