‘Lidl knows the most important things when choosing a nappy are dryness, protection and comfort. We ensure ultimate dryness and leakage protection, and the Toujours range is now more flexible giving your baby the comfort and freedom to explore the world. There is no need to pay a premium price for a premium nappy, our prices are low but our quality high. Toujours is dermatologically tested, latex free, skin-friendly and independently tested. Protecting the environment is also important, therefore the padding used is from sustainably managed forests. The slim design means less materials, less packaging and less energy, minimising our carbon footprint.’

  1. I received the Toujours in size 2. My baby is 13 weeks old.

  1. Overall I thought they were okay. The first nappy is used leaked poo onto the baby's bodysuit, which was not impressive since it was not even a big poo. The design was average and sizing was good. I disliked that they didn't have a wetness indicator line and when full of wee they were bulky. Which could be uncomfortable in comparison to other nappies that are still soft when full of wee.

  1. If I knew a friend was on a limited budget I might suggest they try them, but otherwise I would not recommend them.

  1. I would not buy again because it leaked the poo and seemed uncomfortable to sit in once full of wee.

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

DS is 21 months- used size 5 (nearly 3 year old DD also used a couple!)

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Initially, I thought they felt really thin & cheap but I was actually pleasantly surprised. My son liked the designs. We had no leaks but they didn't seem as absorbant as Pampers or my usual Aldi ones.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

They're definitely great for the price but I do prefer Aldi ones. The Lidl ones just feel a little cheaper, sorry! I'd definitely recommend for the price though.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Possibly, they are good value for money. I wouldn't make a special trip though as I usually shop in Aldi anyway.

15 months old, size 4 nappies trialled.
I really like the design, (cleverly look like pampers!) but I don't like the brand name, ' toujours'! They are soft and do the job nicely. I have been buying them for day and nighttime and prefer them to tesco's which I was buying before.
I recommended them to a friend who prefers them to Aldi, which is what she was previously buying.
I will continue to use Lidl nappies.

How old was the child you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
9 week old, size 2

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Liked them! Great value, seemed comfy and tabs were not sharp as with some other value brands. But the front filled up and the liquid didn't seem to always disperse across the whole nappy which caused the odd leak.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future?

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? I liked them - they were lovely and soft and my little one liked the pictures. The liquid did seem to pool in certain areas giving a saggy bum though rather than spreading through the nappy.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation? I would - they are good value for money

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why? Yes - the price is good and they do the job

She is 21 months old.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I liked how thin and durable they were considering other nappies, they kept my baby dry throughout the night so I think they're great nappies. There was nothing I disliked about them.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes, I already have!

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
I certainly would buy them as I believe my child is more comfortable in them, they keep her dry and they're cheap, too!

1) How old is your baby/child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My son will turn one in two days time, was using the size 4 nappies.

2) What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
They are thinner than the usual brands I buy (Asda and Aldi own brand ones) so quite compact without compromising on quality or pack quantity. They are really flexible and given that my son is super active - I was pleased that I didn't have any leaks to contend with.

3) Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes.

4) Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Yes, was pleased with their performance being on par with the other brands I've been using.

13 months size 4

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I was pleasantly surprised by how thin they were and we has no leaks which is always a bonus! However, she got nappy rash when wearing them and I believe that it is because the urine isn't wicked away from the skin.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes, if their child didn't have sensitive skin.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

No. Due to the nappy rash.

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? 13 months and size 4

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them? They were pretty unreliable in terms of leakage, and certainly no good for overnight use. My DD is a size 4 in other nappies so I know that the sizing was right for her, but we tried her a couple of nights overnight in them, and she leaked through by 2am, causing a wake-up and an angry, wet baby. Daytime use was fine, but had to change them more frequently than other brands. They felt quite plasticky and harsh to the skin too.

I will probably stick with Aldi as we have tried a few others and Aldi still seem the best. Lidls nappies are a good price though.

Getting in just before the deadline - living life on the edge...

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?
My DD is a very dinky 6 months, we used size 2 nappies

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
Great, no problems. The design is simple, fairly plain which I prefer - hate seeing nappies underneath clothes. There was no particular smell from the (new) nappies - cheap nappies sometimes smell chemically to me but these were fine. They fitted well, didn't leak and caused no skin issues - what more can you ask for from a nappy? I would've preferred if there was a wetness indicator strip, I would probably buy ASDA nappies over these if it was a choice between the two because of the wetness indicator - but no actual problems and I would happily but these if I was in Lidl and needed nappies...

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes, absolutely

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?
Unlikely, but only because we don't live anywhere near a Lidl and the aren't something that is so amazing if would be worth making a special trip (nearest Lidl is a LOOOONG way away). If I were in a Lidl for whatever reason and was low on nappies I would happily buy them

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

They are nice and thin/not bulky. No strong smell like some other brands. Very good absorption. The only negative was that my dd has a very large tummy and I struggled to do the nappies up - the side panels are not very stretchy

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes - they are absorbent and stay put

How old is your baby/child who you tested the nappies on, and what size did you use?

My daughter is 17 months and we used the size 4 nappies.

What was your overall impression of Lidl's Toujours Nappies. What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Overall I was reasonably happy with the nappies, no leaks and contained explosive poos well. But they were very smelly after having a wee even if she had only had the nappy on for half an hour or thereabouts. They are also quite papery and thin (but as a disclaimer I do use cloth nappies normally so I am used to seeing a chunky bum on my daughter!). They did the job they were meant to and on that score I have no issues with them. I did try them day and night as opposed to just at night which is how we normally use disposables.

Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

I think I would recommend them to a friend looking for a cheaper alternative to Pampers for example, if they came up in conversation but I wouldn't go out of my way to bring them in conversation to recommend them.

Would you buy Lidl's Toujours nappies again in the future? If so why?

If am in Lidl anyway or near by then I will probably purchase a packet as they are very reasonably priced and do the job they are meant to without causing any nasty nappy rash (daughter has very sensitive skin). We use cloth nappies during the day and have recently (in the last 6 weeks) started using disposables at night (desperately trying to get a full nights sleep from my daughter!) but I don't think I would make a concerted effort to go to Lidl to solely purchase the nappies as it is a bit of a trek to the nearest store (45 minute walk).

How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use?

My baby was 4 months old when I started testing these nappies.she was in size 3.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

Initially when I opened the packet and felt the nappy I was disappointed. They felt thin and flimsy and I did not think they would be any good, however when I started using them I was surprised. They fitted my daughter perfectly and at no point did they leak. They were very absorbent, especially overnight. If anything the design could be more colourful but that is a minor detail.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes I would.

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

My lo is 24 months old, wears size 2-3 clothes. We chose the size 5 to test as lo is just in-between a size 4 &5 in most brands of nappy at the moment.

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?
I thought these nappies were great. We had no problems. If anything they were a little large but as i said lo is just in-between size 4 & 5. They were nice and thin, didn't have any plastic odour and the fastening was secure. No leaks daytime or overnight.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?
Yes I would recommend these nappies.

I was very impressed with these nappies. Don't know why Aldi are voted so good, when actually I thought these were better. I felt they were on par with Pampers Newborn range, but much cheaper.

1)How old is your baby/ child who you tested the nappies on, and which size did you use? 8 weeks baby, used size 2

2)What was your overall impression of Lidl’s Toujours Nappies? What did you like and what, if anything, did you dislike about them?

I liked the softness, the thinness and the fact that the bag has two splits (very cool). The only thing they lacked compared to others was the blue wetness indicator, but to be honest, I didn't mind at all.

3)Would you recommend these nappies to a friend if they came up in conversation?

Yes definitely

4)Would you buy Lidl Toujours Nappies again in the future? If so why?

Yes, they are soft, think and good absorbency. Plus they are cheaper than Pampers and I thought they were softer and thinner than Aldi Mamia's which is what I used before

I tested the size 1 lidl nappy

Very happy with the quality and the nappies were very soft. Another good point is that they say the size on the outside, good for if you have multiple kids in nappies.

There was no leakage and they are every bit as soft as other market leading brands. The only thing that would stop me buying these is the fact that they don't have the coloured stripe on the outside to tell you if the nappy is wet.

Hi.
I have already answered, but for some reason, I have been emailed saying I haven't.
And the "reply to this email address" does not work.

How old is your child?
She is 3 years 5 months.
Wears a nappy for overnight and for a daytime nap.
Overall impressions.

Smelled a bit chemically when first opened but soon aired.
Folded up incredibly small and thin.

Survived the Tuesday night. After swimming. She drinks half a pool of swimming water each week

Would I recommend ?
Yes.
They work well on dd.
We have not had a problem at all with them.

Would I buy them?

Yes, if I was near a lidl.
It's not worth me making a 50 mile round trip for nappies, but if I was visiting somewhere near one, I would pick some up.
