This thread is for the 200 Cadbury panel members who have been trying brand new Cadbury Dairy Milk Decorate Egg and refining their decorating skills.

Here's what the team at Cadbury says about the product: "Cadbury Dairy Milk Decorate Egg is the perfect gift this Easter because it combines delicious Cadbury's chocolate with creativity! Children can have fun designing their own Easter Egg and making it really special. We're really excited to let the Cadbury panel trial the Decorate Egg with their children and hear what they think about it."

Testers, we’d like you to answer the following questions:

  • How easy was the decorating kit to use?
  • Did your DCs enjoy the activity?
  • Did your DC enjoy the taste of the egg?
  • Would you recommend this kit to a friend?

We’d also love to see photographs of your decorating skills and original creations, so please also post these on this thread.
Everyone who posts their feedback on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will win a £300 John Lewis voucher.

    Thanks and good luck!

How easy was the decorating kit to use? Fairly easy to use, although we didn't use water to warm the icing I just held the tube in my hands and massaged.

Did your DCs enjoy the activity? They did although 1 egg between 3 did cause a bit of grief and squabbling.

Did your DC enjoy the taste of the egg? Of course, Cadbury is there favourite anyway.

Would you recommend this kit to a friend? Yes and no. It needs tweaking a bit, maybe more icing colours, or possible decorations included too.

-How easy was the decorating kit to use?
very easy ,bit of a faff to warm the tube
-Did your DCs enjoy the activity?
enjoyed it but as they are 7 and 10 didnt keep them entertained for long
-Did your DC enjoy the taste of the egg?
they love Cadburys so always a hit
-Would you recommend this kit to a friend?
was slightly disappointed as initally thought the 'kit' would have more than the just the icing pen. Not sure of the RRP but the kit as it stands wouldnt make me recommend it. It would be better if had more things in to decorate with such as mini eggs etc

How easy?
5yo needed help to get icing out.
Did your DCs enjoy?
Yes but I was expecting it to have different colours or sprinkles or something. I would have been disappointed if I'd paid for it.
taste?
Ish. Didn't get finished. Admit it you have changed the recipe, I found some old Cadburys in a birthday party decoration box and it tasted different and nicer than the current Cadburys. Sorry but its the truth!
Recommend?
Sorry no. Better to get your own bits from the baking section if you want to do this kind of activity.

I realise this is very late but I just didn't get round to filling in the survey. Kids enjoyed the egg pretty much straight after opening it!
How easy was the decorating kit to use?
Very easy. Some warming needed for the icing tube
-Did your DCs enjoy the activity?
Despite the fact the egg was broken when we got it (which is why there are no photos) my kids really enjoyed decorating the big parts left!
-Did your DC enjoy the taste of the egg?
Without a doubt. They love cadburys chocolate anyway so they were in their element with the egg!
-Would you recommend this kit to a friend?
Yes I would. And actually already have Smile
