This thread is for the MNers who've been trying out Pampers Baby-Dry Pants with their child.

Here’s what Pampers say, “Thank you so much for signing up to try our new Baby-Dry Pants – you’re some of the first people in the UK to try them and we can’t wait to hear what you thought of them. We really hope you and your little one found them easy to use, as well as providing the reliable dryness you’d expect from a normal taped nappy.”

Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too.

Please state the age of your child and the size of Baby-Dry Pants nappies you were trying in your response.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you with Pampers Baby-Dry Pants?
  • How did Pampers Baby-Dry Pants perform through the day and at night time?
  • How would you rate the dryness of the pants?
  • Would you consider buying them in the future? If so, why? If not, why not?
  • Did the trial convince you that pants are not just for potty training or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry Pants to other parents for dryness and fit?

Everyone who comments on this thread and completes the survey we sent via email will be entered in to a prize draw where one MNer will receive a £200 John Lewis voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

i thought the nappies were very convenient to use and very comfortable for baby, gave her more freedom to move around. i kept them on her at night when she sleeps 12hrs and they kept her very dry. would definitely recommend and buy again. no leaks despite all the crawling, rolling, legs in the air etc etc!!

We were using the size 4 nappies.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you with Pampers Baby-Dry Pants?
Satisfied. They are pretty good nappies in terms of feel and performance.
  • How did Pampers Baby-Dry Pants perform through the day and at night time?

Fab. Did less nappy changes in the day as his nappy wasn't as full with these. They also lasted well through the night.

  • How would you rate the dryness of the pants?

10/10, they were great!

  • Would you consider buying them in the future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Possibly. They were a slight pain to put on, which would be the only thing that would turn me off.

  • Did the trial convince you that pants are not just for potty training or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, particularly as my son hates to lay down to have his nappy changed.

  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry Pants to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes, definitely.

HI
I tested these for a boy aged 13 months, he wore a size 4.

Overall, how satisfied were you with Pampers Baby-Dry Pants?

I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. The pants were much more absorbent than I expected, easy to use and were really nice to look at.

How did Pampers Baby-Dry Pants perform through the day and at night time?

I didnt ever use them at night, we used a normal Pampers as I wasnt convinced that the pull on pants would last a whole night of full wee and wriggling!

During the day they stayed on well, and were easy to change and discard once used.

How would you rate the dryness of the pants?

Pretty good, no leaks or wet patches.

Would you consider buying them in the future? If so, why? If not, why not?

I have bought them already! I liked that they were easy to pull on when my baby boy is trying to wriggle and escape and I like the way they pull on like pants. No sticky tape and readjusting as I always make them too tight! These fitted nicely round his tummy and never left a mark. Normal tab close nappies sometimes roll down when his tummy pushes out :)

Did the trial convince you that pants are not just for potty training or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes, I am no where near potty training but still find these useful.

If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry Pants to other parents for dryness and fit?

Yes I have and I will! I liked them a lot more than i expected and would encourage other mums to give them a try.

Thank you for letting me trial these pull ups.

My daughter is 21 months old and tested size 5.

  • Overall, how satisfied were you with Pampers Baby-Dry Pants?
Not particularly satisfied with the fit, for dryness they were great but they did not fit her as well as her current nappies and they are also size 5. These were very large around the thighs and they left gaps which made them leak a few times
  • How did Pampers Baby-Dry Pants perform through the day and at night time?
They were fine some times, but they did leak a few times also as they were too large for my toddler even though she was sent the right size. I didn't try them at night as I did not trust them to not leak and disturb her sleep
  • How would you rate the dryness of the pants?
They did keep her dry sometimes but again as they were large it was hard to tell whether they weren't keeping her dry or if it was just because they were too big
  • Would you consider buying them in the future? If so, why? If not, why not?
If they had a fit more like the pampers easy ups but with the baby dry protection then I would definitely consider buying them, but they were too big as they stand for my toddler who fits into the size bracket I was sent as isn't particularly small for her age either and as they stand no I would not consider buying them due to the risk of leakage.
  • Did the trial convince you that pants are not just for potty training or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
I don't think they are just for potty training, pull ups are more convenient for quick changes especially if just wee, however for soiled nappies they are a bit messier I found than un-taping a regular nappy

Overall, how satisfied were you with Pampers Baby-Dry Pants?

They were great! We received size 5 testers and I tried them on my 19 month twins.

  • How did Pampers Baby-Dry Pants perform through the day and at night time?
They seemed comfortable on both children throughout the day, although we had a few leaks through the night with one of them.
  • How would you rate the dryness of the pants?
They performed a lot better than I expected. Children were dry and not a sign of nappy rash on either.
  • Would you consider buying them in the future? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes.I think I will be purchasing them as a potty training aid in the next month.

  • Did the trial convince you that pants are not just for potty training or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes.They are so much easier to put on than nappies!
  • If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Pampers Baby-Dry Pants to other parents for dryness and fit?
Definitely would.
