We have a very exciting product test for you...We've been asked by Samsung to find 30 Mumsnetters to try out their new G-Series American-style fridge freezer (average selling price £1,800) in their home and give feedback on Talk. Everyone who is selected to take part and adds their feedback will get to keep the fridge freezer forever!

This is what Samsung says about the product: "With the new G-Series three door American-style fridge freezer, you will get lots more storage space thanks to thin wall insulation technology. You also get the benefit of some really clever features, all designed to make your life easier. A plumbed dispenser gives you chilled and filtered ice and water on tap, foldable shelves mean you can fit all your food and drink in irrespective of their size, shape, width or breadth, and FreshSafe Vegetable drawers give you the best humidity levels to preserve vitamins and nutrients in any fruits and vegetables you?re storing. Even better is the CoolSelect Pantry which acts as a mini fridge within a fridge. It?s an independently controlled drawer which can be set to three different temperatures, so you can be sure you are storing your food at the right temperature."

There are a number of criteria for taking part in this project - to take part you must:

  • Live in mainland UK
  • Be willing to provide two lots of feedback (once when the fridge freezer has just been delivered and again after a couple of months) which will appear on MN and may be used for marketing by Samsung (they will link to the feedback thread from their website - you can namechange for the feedback if you like)
  • Be available at home for one weekday in the next 2-3 weeks (date to be arranged with Samsung) for delivery
  • Have space, electricity and a cold water supply (for ice and water dispenser) for a fridge freezer this size in your kitchen (or wherever it would live) - click here for more information on dimensions etc

If you are selected to take part, the fridge freezer will be delivered free of charge but Samsung aren't able to remove any old appliances so you would need to arrange for any existing fridge freezer occupying the space to be removed yourself.

You will get to keep the new fridge freezer once the product test is finished - so long as you add at least 2 lots of feedback on Mumsnet. Feedback will focus on overall impressions of the fridge freezer, the flexibility of the storage space inside it, any features you particularly like etc.

If you are interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks

WhipMeIndiana I imagine most people don't post on these threads. I don't often.

I am the utter knobber though who actually FORGOT to submit the form. Thought I'd double check the size of the space first, and by the time I remembered to come back and the survey was closed :(

There's a slight possiblitiy that actually I did submit the form though, and have forgotten. I astonish myself, really I do.

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 11/07/2011 14:56

Oh and to add insult to injury, the space is plenty big enough :(

WhipMeIndiana · 11/07/2011 15:08

jenaiMarr -

if it makes you feel better I just had an ant...in my bra Shock

Lexilicious · 11/07/2011 15:09

Is it to be announced in an email or a PM? I haven't had a pm and didn't declare my entry on this thread. I didn't realise that was the protocol among seasoned freebie-bidders........ Grin

WhipMeIndiana · 11/07/2011 15:13

love the word protocol.
so efficient yet...sleazy

JenaiMarrHePlaysGuitar · 11/07/2011 15:13

Shock That helps WhipMe. A little.

WhipMeIndiana · 11/07/2011 15:54

WhipMeIndiana · 11/07/2011 15:55

Lexilicious - you are about the 92nd entry - declared on this thread anyway, doesnt everyone post to show their camerarderie? intent?

Eddas · 11/07/2011 16:01

I would think there are lots of entries not on this thread, lots of people just lurk. I've entered and haven't posted until now.

NewGirlHelenMumsnet · 11/07/2011 16:38

All champagne and cake to be sent direct to MNHQ marked FAO StressedOutChooserOfFridgeTestersHelenMumsnet please!

Sorry to prolong the agony ladies - it's taking longer than I'd hoped - think we're looking at tomorrow now rather than this pm.

I'll email selected testers and post list on this thread as soon as the list is approved. Can I suggest you all go and have a not-quite-cold-enough drink and come back again tomorrow?!

Whipme - if you like 'protocol', how do you feel about 'governance'? That always gives me a little sub-dom shiver.

SchrodingersMew · 11/07/2011 16:43

Hi Helen. :)

I have a bit of a problem. I have entered loads of competitions and things on here but I am unsure if they would have went through properly because the email address I am using is not the same as the address registered to my profile.

Basically, I had opened a MN account before this one and had forgotten about it using the email address I use now. I don't use the account and want it deleted so I can use the address on this account.

Can you help me?

mummylin2495 · 11/07/2011 16:43

Not to get in her good books you understand [hgrin]

mummylin2495 · 11/07/2011 16:44

Tequilamockinbird · 11/07/2011 16:47

Thanks for the update Helen.

I'm away at a meeting tomorrow, thank God for the MN iPhone app! Smile

lisad123 · 11/07/2011 16:48

I wish I'd taken more time on my application now. Sad I thought it might be a first come first serve type affair, so I rushed it on my phone.

chillistars · 11/07/2011 18:58

no! I waited with bated breath all day to get home and check, tomorrow I'm going in for an operation to sort out my back so won't be able to check tomorrow :(
Gutted...will get my friend to check for me!
