We have a very exciting product test for you...We've been asked by Samsung to find 30 Mumsnetters to try out their new G-Series American-style fridge freezer (average selling price £1,800) in their home and give feedback on Talk. Everyone who is selected to take part and adds their feedback will get to keep the fridge freezer forever!

This is what Samsung says about the product: "With the new G-Series three door American-style fridge freezer, you will get lots more storage space thanks to thin wall insulation technology. You also get the benefit of some really clever features, all designed to make your life easier. A plumbed dispenser gives you chilled and filtered ice and water on tap, foldable shelves mean you can fit all your food and drink in irrespective of their size, shape, width or breadth, and FreshSafe Vegetable drawers give you the best humidity levels to preserve vitamins and nutrients in any fruits and vegetables you?re storing. Even better is the CoolSelect Pantry which acts as a mini fridge within a fridge. It?s an independently controlled drawer which can be set to three different temperatures, so you can be sure you are storing your food at the right temperature."

There are a number of criteria for taking part in this project - to take part you must:

  • Live in mainland UK
  • Be willing to provide two lots of feedback (once when the fridge freezer has just been delivered and again after a couple of months) which will appear on MN and may be used for marketing by Samsung (they will link to the feedback thread from their website - you can namechange for the feedback if you like)
  • Be available at home for one weekday in the next 2-3 weeks (date to be arranged with Samsung) for delivery
  • Have space, electricity and a cold water supply (for ice and water dispenser) for a fridge freezer this size in your kitchen (or wherever it would live) - click here for more information on dimensions etc

If you are selected to take part, the fridge freezer will be delivered free of charge but Samsung aren't able to remove any old appliances so you would need to arrange for any existing fridge freezer occupying the space to be removed yourself.

You will get to keep the new fridge freezer once the product test is finished - so long as you add at least 2 lots of feedback on Mumsnet. Feedback will focus on overall impressions of the fridge freezer, the flexibility of the storage space inside it, any features you particularly like etc.

If you are interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks

ThePrincessRoyalFiggyrolls · 11/07/2011 23:10

Any giveaways at all, it is lonely out in the middle of nowhere - I can spend mucho timo devoted to mn'ing about products you might care to pass in my direction Grin. However I never win anything Sad oh wait sorry I was chosen to test out Fairy Liquid - which just adds to my life of dredgery. PLEASE PICK ME.

I'm not going to be chosen now am I?

chillistars · 12/07/2011 06:14

TheRealMBJ · 12/07/2011 06:41

You and me both ThePrincess. I suspect they see my postcode and immediately strike me of the list if possibles. Sad But I have sooooooooo much time to give things a good and proper testing, not distracted by the amusements of civilisationGrinGrin

Oh, well I can live in hope.

moominthecorner · 12/07/2011 08:37

Waiting.........

moominthecorner · 12/07/2011 08:38

In a polite, non pushy way of course

moominthecorner · 12/07/2011 08:39

Unless being pushy gets me on the list Confused

mummylin2495 · 12/07/2011 08:57

Joins waiting group ,but in thinking about it i suspect that i live in wrong town somehow.Maybe Bournemouth too far away to deliver. But i can still dream.Would be very handy as i host foreign students for 9 months of the year and would save me having to keep restocking freezer so often. Good luck to everyone.I wont go into a sulk if i dont get one Grin

lovecorrie · 12/07/2011 09:10

Am up and ready to -well- sit and wait really....

DurhamDurham · 12/07/2011 09:11

I'm in Durham, may as well be Outer Siberia!! Grin

WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:11

where do you two live out in the middle of nowhere? rural? mountain-sy?

WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:13

so there's about 92 who've signed in on this thread

the likelihood of all entrants signing this thread 46.9%

meaning there could be anything from as high as 300 entrants to as low as 120

but with 30 fridges that's still a 1/10 chance isnt it?

fishie · 12/07/2011 09:13
WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:14

**disclaimer I made up the 46 % figure

fishie · 12/07/2011 09:15

no way whipme. there are bloody millions of us who haven't posted on thread.

i've realised I spend about ten minutes every day on tiny fridge admin. that's over an whole hour a week! wish i'd put that in my application.

WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:15

....this is exciting, isn't it......

Biscuit
WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:16

no no there's only 1 million uses of MN altogether

only 500,000 at most will have noticed this thread

of them only 10 000 wouldve thought about entering

of them only 4000 wouldve entered, as they had a big enough space

lovecorrie · 12/07/2011 09:16

Oh Fridge oh fridge
I need you
My kitchen calls for you
Without you, dearest fridgy
what will my kitchen do?
'Twill pine and grow old sadly
Will n'er be loved again
So please come to me fridgy
When will we hear? WHEN?

WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:17

of the 4000

probably 1000 filled in the form incorrectly

= 3000
still 1/100 chance?

WhipMeIndiana · 12/07/2011 09:18

I need a fridge more than you
I like the cold, really I do
Ice in my drinks, milk for my tea
Chilling out with a gin sling
that fridge is for ME!

DurhamDurham · 12/07/2011 09:18

It's exciting but I'm supposed to be on my way to work. I'm going to be in huge trouble as my boss might not see this as being as important as I do.

Oh well, trouble it is then!!
