I have a question about centaur babies.

Would the human section be all floppy and helpless like a whole human baby, while the horsey but be able to walk around like a horse baby? Or would both half’s be either humanly floppy and under developed or Horsily matured?

and how would mama centaur birth something that shape?

Sex like horses, a LOT of food to upkeep such a big body, longish pregnancy and the baby is toddlerish.

Humans only have such floppy, useless babies as a side effect if being bipedal; our pelvis can't be big enough for a longer pregnancy and bigger baby. A centaur wouldn't have that problem.

How the hell does a horse get that many calories from a small field of yellowing grass? (My pony is in such a field, with several fieldmates, and is on the chubby side).

Not just the calories - horses need between 25-70 litres of water a day. No wonder centaurs are so grumpy.

Maybe as centaurs are omnivorous and can eat more calorie dense food they don't need quite as much as if they're washing down just grass and hay?
