Love that the originators of every other geographical variant have tried to distance themselves from it whereas we are proudly owning ours Grin

You've a long way to go to match the Kent variant.

Arbadacarba · 21/05/2021 19:02

Good news - a treatment has been identified that's 99% effective against the Yorkshire Variant!

@AlexandraEiffel

Love this. Yes we're fed up with Lancashire faffing on with the Indian variant so we're doing it proper. God's Own Variant. Thankfully it won't spread as we don't see a need to leave the county anyway.

Does MNHQ still put threads in Classics. May I put in the first Nomination for this thread.

Quaggars · 21/05/2021 21:24

@Mcfarts
Putting the heating on in May?!
Nah, it only goes on in minus temperatures, even then it's still practically t-shirt weather lol
Yep, definitely feel yer forehead for fever/delirium if suddenly feeling t'cold Grin
I think I do number 3 daily anyway so couldn't tell if that was a symptom if I caught lol

lljkk · 21/05/2021 21:25

... and on cue DS starts playing the Wallace & Gromit theme tune, which seems he learnt in music lesson today. Sign from Above or what.

KurtWilde · 21/05/2021 21:33

Heating only goes on December to February. After that we just put a vest on. My granny always said don't cast a clout til may be out, best way to keep your cockles warm.

cashoncollection · 21/05/2021 21:34

Deeply deeply enjoying this thread.

Luckily Barnsley is still in the 1970s so it’ll take the Yorkshire variant a while to get there.

Againstmachine · 21/05/2021 21:38

@mcfarts

You have miraculously discovered the cure to covid, bloody Hendos, and no it's not Worcestershire sauce that's all too fishy.

“ Does MNHQ still put threads in Classics. May I put in the first Nomination for this thread”

It’s got to be the first time a coronavirus board thread has ever been nominated for classics, they normally end in tears and recriminations Grin

emmathedilemma · 21/05/2021 22:11

Why has the government not closed the M62 westbound yet? It’s outrageous. The lack of border control in this country is shocking.
