Let's just hope none of those infected decide to travel to London.

@TheQueef
Most Yorkshire people use it regularly? 🤣 Really?

nomorehiccups · 21/05/2021 16:25

'I wonder if one of the symptoms is the overwhelming urge to purchase a whippet.'

... and wrinkled stockings

DeadButDelicious · 21/05/2021 16:27

Cured by Henderson's relish and a pint

emmathedilemma · 21/05/2021 16:29

@WilyKitWilyKat

Oh, and an extra vest.
Ne'er cast a clout til May's out!
ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 21/05/2021 16:31

Apparently one of the early symptoms is an overwhelming desire to pontificate about cricket

Arbadacarba · 21/05/2021 16:31

A Yorkshire variant! I'll go t' foot of our stairs!

newnortherner111 · 21/05/2021 16:31

I bet if it was thought to come via Leeds Bradford airport then the airport would be closed quicker than Heathrow, where finally red list countries are to go through a separate terminal from 1 June, which is only 15 months after it should have happened.

Honest.
Even if they don't say it out loud.
A nice long "Eeeeeehh" is good for the soul.

Hippee · 21/05/2021 16:32

PennineSpring - don't you mean Cornholme? Wink

Yorkshire Variant
Susie477 · 21/05/2021 16:32

T’Lancastrians tried to send us their roobish variant but we were avin’ none of it. We sent Boycott & Root to t’border with their bats and they saw t’covid off. They were 160 not out at tea. That’s Yorkshire tea, obviously.

whataballbag · 21/05/2021 16:33

@TheQueef I'm from Lancashire and even I love a nice 'eeeeeeeeeh' every once in a while.

As long as they don't say "hello" to strangers here

katy1213 · 21/05/2021 16:39

Guess it won't cross the Pennines.

TheQueef · 21/05/2021 16:42

Depends ont' Snake.

Twatterati · 21/05/2021 16:42

Ooh lovely, a variant with a nice side of chips n gravy, yummy.

(Disclaimer - I live in Yorkshire, so feel ok to take the mickey!)

Ormally · 21/05/2021 16:43

@Allmyarseandpeggymartin

Bet it causes high temperatures and cold sweats if you get any further south than Doncaster, cravings for Yorkshire tea and uncharacteristic friendliness towards strangers Grin
Aye, it does. Worse, you might have to take your big coat off south of Chesterfield too.
Twatterati · 21/05/2021 16:48

And it's probably been here ages, we're just so 'ard we 'adn't noticed. It's the 'arsh summers what mek us tough!

Maggiesfarm · 21/05/2021 16:50

It's all because of their fancy 'afternoon teas'.

Scarborough, Filey and Whitby will be devoid of tourists this summer.

Ormally · 21/05/2021 16:51

It's grim up north alright. But we can tek it.

Ormally · 21/05/2021 16:52

Maggiesfarm, what about their cappuccinos?
What's wrong with 'we could froth it up a bit for you?'
