Anybody care to join?

I realised that it was the everyday stuff I missed most during lockdown. I really miss things being normal and dull and unexciting. Everyone in RL just talks covid covid covid all the bloody time. If it isn't covid it's recessions and A levels.

I bought a new flask. It's a 500ml Thermocafe and I love it. I take it into work and out into the garden.

I am also learning to do something called a "halo braid" in my hair. I am so bad at braiding it's unbelievable.

The cat hid a dead shrew in DH's slipper this morning.

I invite you all to top this parade of mediocrity.

I booked an appointment to buy school shoes today and cleaned the bathroom.

I keep going into the bathroom to marvel at the cleanliness.

Ooh! DH and I got engaged 6 years ago today! DS is exactly 23 months old and it's DCat's honorary birthday (rescue, so no idea really) today!

I bought 4 dariole moulds todays. I have no plans to use them, but they're there just in case I have to make chocolate fondants in an emergency (which I have never made before btw)

I cleaned my garage out today, rewarded myself with a lemon muffin

I have Greek toes on my left foot and Roman toes on my right - I have a tendency to walk round in circles.

I have made a small list for tomorrow's Aldi shopping on it is cucumber, cat food and colour washing tabs.

I’ve got a new mascara that actually makes my lashes look thicker.

My holiday to Tenerife has been cancelled tonight so we’ve booked an apartment in Eastbourne instead.

The cat dropped a dead rat (!) outside the door the other night.
Our broadband speed is slow and I can't back up my husband's old iPhone before he gets a new one from work tomorrow!

I'm watching Shameless for the first time ever. Never thought I'd like it - love it!

I needed a poo at about 6.30 this morning. Then it seemed to wear off.

Need it again now.

My dog has been eating plums that have fallen from our plum tree. I’m pretty sure that this year is the first time he’s realised that they’re edible. If there aren’t any on the ground he has a look at the tree to see if any are about to fall. I was worried that they might upset his tummy but it seems fine, apart from having to pick up plum stones with his poo when we’re on walks.

I have eventually managed to book a reputable tiler. He's booked for 24 September, but I've been waiting for months. My previous tiler did his back in and was off, then lockdown, then booked again and now has a bad back again. I was warned that a lot of labourers laid off during lockdown were doing online tiling courses and the good ones are busy fixing bad work, so am prepared to wait. Exciting hey?

I had my smear today which was cancelled pre lockdown. A novel experience wearing a mask

I brought in the washing which has been on the line since Sunday. There have been numerous heavy rainstorms since then. It wasn't dry,

In other news, I pinned my washing out earlier then it started to rain so I had to run out and gather it all in before it was properly dry

I'm so happy to live in a world where emergency chocolate fondants can be a thing.

I need more like this in my life.

Bit gross but I had to clean the wheelie bin to rid it of maggots. When I went back later in the day there were more of them. Ffs!

I'm debating buying a Lululemon yoga mat for my HIIt sessions but worry it won't be sticky enough.

I made a gorgeous miso aubergine tacos recipe for dinner and it was a real hit.

When DS was meant to be going to bed he talked loudly and repeatedly about cowboys instead.

My back itches and I want some cake but we haven't got any.

My beef cheeks went in the slow cooker with, onions, garlic, carrots, beef stock, red wine , tomo puree and a bit of sugar. Cooked about 8 hours. Now in fridge ready for tomorrow tea.

I fell over on my dog walk, and now have a lovely big black bruise on my really swollen arm. Sat on the floor, crying, alone, in the rain, while the dog licked my face.
