Anybody care to join?

I realised that it was the everyday stuff I missed most during lockdown. I really miss things being normal and dull and unexciting. Everyone in RL just talks covid covid covid all the bloody time. If it isn't covid it's recessions and A levels.

I bought a new flask. It's a 500ml Thermocafe and I love it. I take it into work and out into the garden.

I am also learning to do something called a "halo braid" in my hair. I am so bad at braiding it's unbelievable.

The cat hid a dead shrew in DH's slipper this morning.

I invite you all to top this parade of mediocrity.

I forgot to take a mask to my haircut. The hairdresser had a basket of handmade made ones. I could have nipped home but I bought a blue one with white hearts on. The elastics are a bit short for me.

My friend just messaged me to say her daughter loves her Birthday present we dropped round earlier. I'm not 100% sure what to make for dinner tonight but it will involve rose wine.

I have today cleaned cat wee from the carpet.

DH is constipated.

I went kayaking today. Not been since last October because the Spring sessions were cancelled due to Covid. It was gorgeous. Reed beds, lily pads, ducks and swans. Bliss. And of interest to no one except me.

It's stopped raining - now it is warm and humid. The sort of weather that makes you want to lie down.

I got my hair dyed for first time in 3 years yesterday!

I might reorganise the stack of books by the side of my bed as I keep forgetting what I have bought.

It’s equally likely I might not as it would involve moving from the sofa.

I have moved the oak dresser (very heavy) to the kitchen. I have reorganised contents and discovered loads of 'stuff' I do not need.

Charity shop next week.

I wish Bargain Hunt would come to my house. I could flog a lot of stuff. Minature dolls teapots anyone?

Chilli and jackets for dinner.

Finished the ironing and I'm going to have a bath. Travellers have turned up in the park, so I'll take the dog over there later for a look.

An old table for Dd to use as a desk

A friend has just given me some of the Victoria plums she was given by another friend. I may make a crumble, or try the plum and ginger cake on the BBC website, or just stew them.

Thinking of the burger I’m going to get at 5Guys.

Making my first patchwork quilt. Just put the oven on for jacket potatoes.

I have put a concoction in the slow cooker, involving the chicken from 2 left over kebabs not used last night and odds and sods of orange pepper, broccoli and coconut milk, spiced it up a bit and it is smelling good.
I made a chocolate refrigerator cake.
I accompanied husband to Tool Station to collect a cutting disc .
I have Greek toes.

When I pick DD up from work she's going to buy me a McDonalds. I'm going to have a plain fillet of fish and large fries. I'd prefer a KFC.

I've found enough frozen portions of leftover curry in the freezer to make into tonight's dinner.

I just went down to NDN for the cats and to water their plants. Of course, it started to rain as soon as I was done.

I made pancakes for first ever time , they worked we are all happily munching away

The dog needs a bath. I can't decide what's for tea
