I have very high blood pressure Rubester - but its kept 'under control' with my daily tablets - also on beta blockers. They were given to me to stop the panic attacks I was having. Wasn't keen on taking them, especially after reading the information leaflet in the pack - BUT I am still on them at least 7 years down the line. They have 'saved my life' - I know thats a dramatic statement but the panic attacks were overwhelming.

I just remember for a second thinking 'I dont feel very well' and then coming around a few seconds later. Very odd!!!

Wonderful news from Estar isin't it? See - you just need a 'plan' - once you have a plan you have something to work with. I hope her precious little man goes from strength to strength xxx

Shabs and Trips -so sorry you have both hurt yourselves please be careful.
Also, Trips-so hard to still be waiting for hosp results, must be hell.
Hi Rubes, hope all is well there. Will be so glad when half term over!
Working this weekend doing "On Call", hope its quieter than the last one I did, that was 2 weeks ago when all the snow fell and all hel broke loose with the home carers not being able to get out to the clients.

Evening all................sat up once again with a beanbag roasting my neck and shoulders, feel soooooooo tense I could snap!! No, still sod all from the hosp, thats it now until Mon then I start phoning again. Just need to know, need a PLAN. Rubes, getting abit fed up about my big 60, jeez how can I be 60 when I look 39:o
My very best friend who lives in Cornwall wants us to do something tog, my own brothers are now asking if I am doing anything. My local girlfriends think we will go away for a w/end tog, H thinks I should do something with him and the kids and my sil and family want us to go to France tog!! In my heart I would like a girls only break because we can be silly and have fun. But............until that damn hosp phone and we find out whats going on with H I can do nothing.

Im just watching 100 greatest musicals on telly Trips.

Oooooh I love music. Tom is doing a Music GCSE and enjoying every last minute of it. He has homework to do with the history of music. When he read the questions he told his teacher that I would know all the answers and would muscle in on the homework Grin all about Northern Soul music, the Twisted Wheel club in Manchester and Wigan Casino all nighters....Awww all those things happened to me in another life....17, loads of dosh etc etc

triplets · 19/02/2012 00:25

I know Shabs.............music is the soul of life.........
Tonight we were having dinner and I put an old cd on of The Carpenters, haven`t played it for years. Kids were talking over it as usual, looked at H and he was very straight faced, then he suddenly said "I think I am going to get sad in a minute, the times I played this..."
It was then I remembered, on the Sat night, two nights after Matthew died, he stood in the kitchen all night ironing, ironing Matthews clothes, our friend Neil who had given Matthew mouth to mouth was just sat in a chair watching him with a whisky in his hand....he was listening to The Carpenters..........so painful to remember.

I'm a closet Carpenters fan BlushGrin

My mum used to have it belting out while doing the housework. One I was old enough and got my own record player I used to listen to it in my room in between vic reeves and salt n pepa! Even though she had died by then, when i was 5. I still have a lot of the albums now, and play them when in the house alone singing along with all the words.

One summer I worked in a hotel where the clientelle was mostly elderly. The proprietor would have Elvis playing in the dining room constantly. We kept trying to persuade her to change for something different and I finally won her over with the carpenters! One guest was so grateful she posted me a cd and a film of her story after she returned back home. Smile
