Afternoon................slushy horrid disgusting snow! Kids moaned about having to go to school.......just back now and off out on sledges, more mess!! Can you tell I don`t "do" snow:o Took my mum out for lunch today, she is 84 and as lively as ever, could see Harry looking from her to me thinking, God is that what she is going to be like?

The Super Bowl was great, absolutely brilliant and the giants won! Gooooo giiiaaaannnnnts!!! the party was fab too, very posh venue and amazing selection of food - Chinese, American, mash maritinis, tacos, sweets, cupcakes... Had far too much vino.

Very sad to be leaving, maybe one day I can do it again! I can't believe all the snow reports in the news. It's been gorgeous here, sunny and mild.

Hi all, Trips, glad you had a wonderful night out, dh and i went to one last year on my birthday, got very drunk and had a good time too!
Hops- sounds like a great trip,I love America, everything is so over the top, but that is what makes it so great to visit, but couldnt live there permently.

We had a good weekend, went out to local very good Indian restaurant Saturday, James actually tried curry for the 1st time (always refused befor) and loved it, maybe my fussy eater is growing up! We all had a nice family time, yesterday we had 6" snow, we took the dogs out and the boys their sleds and had fun in the white stuff. Real "family" stuff. Let's s hope last week was just a "blip" and we can move on.

Ruby, we were thinking patriots until the pre game party then decided to switch! The last quarter was so nail biting!

I'm now in Chicago, in the lounge eating sme rather nice nosh and waiting for the flight to heathrow. I could easily live here permanently if we had the chance, I love it! Everyone is so positive and they couldn't do enough for us. The people were so welcoming and happy. I bet when the Olympics are on in the summer all peeps will be doing here is grumbling about it.

I'm dying to know how much snow we've got at home. I don't thi I can quite believe it until I see it, seems rather unreal after the weather here.

We lived in USA for six months in 1980/81 Hops. Lived mainly in the Utah area. Lovvvvvvvvvvvved every single minute of it. The Americans are very positive and very different from us!!! We came home and applied for our green cards so we could emigrate. After trying for a baby for almost 4 years without success we felt it was time to make changes. On the day we got the forms for the final step of the green cards I found out I was pregnant....and months later found out we were expecting twins!!! And...the rest, as they say...is history!!

We had 3 trips to the US before the boys were born, and would love to go back and do a tour, but lack of money prevents this. However, with owning the YankTank, we get to have our own little bit of the lifestyle over here at the various shows. We have just got through our tickets for the "Americana" up in Nottingham, for July, this is one of the biggest shows in the country, and we can't wait!
